This is an excellent restaurant. We came as a special treat on Vacation. We were looking for a good steak, and were staying in Cherry Grove, so this fit the bill. Matt was our server and was incredibly attentive and deserves top marks. My parents had the Prime Rib and said it was fantastic. It was a sizable position and they half pound size. My sister had the linguine and meatballs and said it was better than our previous favorite Italian restaurant here. I had the Filet with Twice Baked Au Gratin Potatoes. The Bearnaise sauce was good but the side of Sautéed Mushrooms was incredible. The beef was tender and full of flavor. I can't recommend this place enough, you're gonna get a better cut of beef for a lower price than elsewhere. read more

Martini really is as good as it gets for a classic steak and seafood restaurant. We took friends who are real foodies to Martini and the pressure was on. Martini was up to the task. Live jazz and a nice ambiance sets the stage for great dining. Our server was terrific! Incredibly personable, very knowledgeable of the menu and preparation, and attentive. She contributed greatly to an enjoyable evening. We started with a bottle of wine from their extensive wine list and the day's special martini. The food was amazing! One of our guests commented that his Crab Encrusted Grouper was perhaps the best meal he had ever had. Our dinner was finished off with their bite-sized desserts. They have full sized desserts as well, but the "two bite" desserts are really a great size. Everyone loved their dinner. Martini is a great choice for a very nice dinner in a classic setting. I had to stop by this place as the dirty martini is my favorite drink. I was thrilled that they had a huge Martini lighted sign (fun photo op) but when I ordered my first dirty martini with blue cheese olives, I was disheartened when a regular (not dirty martini) was delivered to me with the tiniest blue cheese olives ever. It was happy hour so the martini was only $5.75 though. The server came back about 15 minutes later and said he had not heard "dirty" and instead of replacing it, splashed olive juice on top. Meh. The Happy Hour appetizers were great though! I enjoyed the tuna and shrimp cocktail. They had live music (a man and a woman playing the piano, harmonica and a drum set) - the woman could REALLY sing but the man (her husband) could not sing nearly as well and mostly hit on another couple that was dancing around the musicians. Definitely an older crowd. Me at 33 and my husband at 37 were by far the youngest by 30 years. The owners had a lovely sign in the restroom though - thanking patrons for coming and asking anyone to let them know if there was a problem. I would definitely go back. read more

Will make great vegan dish upon request Not sure why they are hiding the fact they can create two different vegan entrée options, they should highlight this on their menu. We both ordered the Vegetable Napoleon which was panko coated eggplant and squash pan fried and layered on a bed of linguini that had been coated in a chunky marinara like sauce. It was REALLY good, and guess it should be for $24 which is significantly higher than their other pasta dish. Bruchetta is vegan as is the baked potato and the store bought French bread brought with the salads. Omnivore visitors with us enjoyed their meals, too. The food quality is good-the vegetables cooked to perfection and fresh. Staff friendly and cheerful. The portions were nice sized, nice ambiance although it was difficult for our hearing impaired party to hear each other over the live music in the other room. Next time we have to go to a 'fancy' dinner, this will be our choice! read more

Funny story about that is I thought it was a strip club bc the roadside windows are solid black until my friends told me otherwise The employees were quite amused by that Upon walking in the aroma made my mouth water! The atmosphere is classy, there's a mature crowd, & the musician was playing some cool old school R&B and jazz. Sat at at the bar and received a warm greeting from mixologist, Brian. Off to a good start that got even better when food and drinks were served! Usually there's few pickings from the HH menu for us GF peeps but Martini offers several ... and they are tagged GF. The dish I wanted, Chicken Martini, was not marked GF, I didn't see what didnt make it GF so Brian checked w.the chef who confirmed it is indeed GF but was mistakenly not noted on he HH menu. It was delicious: grilled, butterflied chicken breast topped with roasted peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese with a side of flavorful yellow rice ($10). And the portion was dinner sized for me. Brian made an excellent lemon Martini, too! Total bill $20.00 for a plentiful portion of Chicken Martini, a coke & a martini. Works for me! Highly recommend Martini's! read more

Hello sneaky places that turn out awesome! This gem is hidden in plain sight. Don't let the strip mall location or covered windows fool you, this place is worth it. The live music is great and quiet enough to have a regular conversation at your table. The food was really good. The table had the Italian meatloaf, shrimp and grits, prime rib, and a white fish. Everyone really enjoyed their choices but my favorite may have been the smoked wings app! Tuesday is Prime Rib special so give it chance but I'm sure any night is good to go! read more

Had dinner at Martini last night. Excellent! I had the grouper and my wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Both entrees were prepared well and had great flavor. Live music was entertaining and service was very good. My only caution is that they add 20% gratuities to the bill. So look to be sure that you are not tipping twice. The server did circle the gratuity on the bill which was appreciated. I typically give a 20% tip anyway, so not a problem for me. read more

I read some great reviews on this place, but last night we decided to try it out, we got the filet, with a salad and veggies, and the blackened salmon no blue cheese, veggies and French onion soup. Coming up to the place we were a little skeptical, but when we got home and ate the food, it was freaking amazing. Steak and salmon cooked perfectly, and probably the best ever French onion soup. I started coming to Martini's mid week with my neighbor. Just a cocktail and some appetizers. This past weekend my husband and I invited another couple to join us for dinner. This was our first experience with dinner at Martini's. There is something so welcoming about this place. From the piano bar music to the sweetness of the servers. You just want to come back. The food I've had has all been truly amazing. The apps: jumbo shrimp cocktail...truly excellent choice with a cocktail or before dinner. Did not disappoint. Huge shrimp in a Martini glass with a bed of lettuce and cocktail sauce. Magical! or...2 jumbo meatballs covered in mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Definitely enough for 2 people to share as an app or pre dinner selection. I also opted for the meatballs with a salad. or...oh my goodness the cheesy fondue with warm bread...clogged arteries but what a way to go. Very tasty! (keep in mind these were tried on multiple trips ... and more) For dinner, following the cheesy fondue I opted for the grilled chicken caesar salad, which came out as a grilled shrimp. Ironically I was between the two and when she saw the plate she immediately knew it was incorrect and apologized. I, however, kept the plate. The shrimp were perfect and the salad very tasty! My husband has eggplant parmesan and truly enjoyed the sauce and that the eggplant was not too soft. Our friends split an appetizer of meatballs and a side salad and were also impressed with the food. We will be taking my parents next time; my father loves spaghetti and Martini's sauce is excellent. I ordered a cocktail; peach cosmo which was very heavy for me on the liquor side so she took it back and didn't charge me which I thought was very kind. I highly recommend calling for a reservation. We got lucky as they appeared to have two party tables there for dinner. If you don't mind eating at the bar you may get a seat and will enjoy the humor of the bartenders. Also, GREAT happy hour specials AND if it's your birthday...ask for their Birthday Martini...you will not be dissapointed. read more

My husband, sister, BIL, and I ate here recently when visiting NMB and really enjoyed it. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Three of us ordered the prime rib and it did not disappoint. We all three had it blackened which I would recommend. The prime rib was tender enough to cut with your fork. My sister ordered the filet mignon which she enjoyed but liked our prime rib a little better. All of the entrees come with a salad--their house salad was wonderful: chopped lettuce, salami, tomatoes, with a tomato vinaigrette. My husband had the wedge which he loved. My husband also started with "angry" mussels and loved them. The portion size was perfect for an appetizer--it wasn't a meal's worth but enough to whet your appetite. Throughout dinner there was live music which was really relaxing and enjoyable. It wasn't too loud or obtrusive. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere and would visit again the next time we're in NMB. read more

I had one of the best filets I've ever had. My sister gets the Delmar every time she visits and says it's delicious and my husband had the ribeye and said it was really good. I wish the garlic mashed potatoes had more garlic but otherwise everything was delicious! We had a great waiter and it was so nice to have music while we ate. Loved it here!! read more

Excellent. The service was on point. Super friendly, and super super efficient. I ordered the surf and turf. I will admit that the filet mignon was under done. I asked for medium rare and it was very rare. However, the way they handled the problem quickly, and with a smile, makes that not even affect my review. The meat was very flavorful. Old people are indefatigable. At least the oldsters at Martini's on Tuesday night are. They have artificial everything, they can't hear, they can't see, and they are recovering from every malady from arthritis to zinc deficiency and everything in between. And believe me, if you ask them how they are doing, they take you seriously and will give you a rundown of everything that is ailing or was replaced or just plain fell off so that by the time they finish, you are more than qualified for the Duke School of Medicine. But happy hour with the Fat Jack Duo? It's like they all emerge from one of those hyperbaric chambers, giddy, their blood pumped full of oxygen. The years fall away. I drank martinis, starting with the first one on the martini menu. Something beachy sounding and a viscous, frothy green. Not martini-ish to my eyes. I discovered the Bourbon martini a little further down the menu and then my years began to fall away. The two fat Jacks sounded really, really good. Somewhere in there, shoehorned between Earth, Wind, and Fire's Let's Groove and Uptown Funk ( a guaranteed geriatric aphrodisiac), was a non-exceptional crabcake paired with a delicious sauce that basically acted as a decent sop for the bourbon martinis.
