It was our first time visiting New York Prime in Myrtle Beach and we had an amazing time! The drinks, food and atmosphere were fantastic! The service was impeccable! If you're looking for fantastic steak and seafood, this is the place!

This restaurant is incredible!! The service was wonderful and the food was top notch. We couldn't stop raving about how good our meals and especially the dessert was. It was peaceful inside, not too loud and was a romantic spot for my husband and I to celebrate our one year anniversary. Highly recommend!

We were in Myrtle Beach and visited this steak out as we met up with Family. I'm glad we picked this place as the service was top notch. Our food was amazing. We will be back

By far our favorite steakhouse in Myrtle Beach- delicious, refined, impeccable service and ambiance!! Perfect for our anniversary dinner Trayson is a gem of a server- very professional and giving- this is a five star restaurant alllll the way!! P.S. although it's a steakhouse, the Chilean Seabass is to die for and my favorite dish here!!

This was my fourth time having the pleasure of dining at this phenomenal steakhouse. Don't forget your reservation! You'll need one to walk in the door here! This trip was especially magical... As if the amazing food wasn't enough... Snow started coming down while the lobster was being served tableside! Seafood: Honestly, for a steakhouse, the seafood really shines here! The Chilean Sea bass is divine, the stone crab claws are perfect (though pricey), the lump crab atop the steak! Their lobster is tender, perfectly prepared and will absolutely melt in your mouth alongside the fresh drawn butter and warmed lemon halves. Delish! Steak-wise: The Porterhouse for 2 is the way to go-- this way you get two cuts of meat and the tender bits close to the bone. The filet is nice too! For the Sides: The creamed spinach & potatoes lyonnaise are the way to go! (Don't be fooled by the "steak fries" which are truly giant potatos cut in wedges, drudged through flour & fried-- save room & the calories for the good stuff!) Cocktails: I started with the Blackberry Amigos - great smokey beverage with muddled blackberries & finished with an Old Fashioned Our table shared everything family style & we had leftovers that were devoured the following morning!

2.5 stars TL;DR: mediocre steak house and dishes, nice service, everything tasted burnt Came here for a quick dinner and luckily was able to grab a table without a reservation. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. FOOD: ~Complimentary bread sourdough (3/5): did not taste or have texture of sourdough. Was just okay. ~Complimentary bread raisin loaf (2.5/5): super dense and overbaked. Unfortunately crust was too hard and interior was dry. ~Baked shrimp (3/5): shrimp was overcooked. Sauce was overly lemon-y. ~Sea bass (3/5): was cooked well, but lacked seasoning due to the size/cut of the fish (too thick) ~Bone in ribeye (3/5): was cooked more rare than medium rare. Outside was overly charred and had a burnt taste. Fat was not rendered, therefore, chewy. ~Sauteed onions (2/5): small pieces you could taste the flavor of the onions/caramelization, but majority of it was so "caramelized" that all you tasted was bitter ash ~Sauteed mushrooms (2/5): same as the onions ~Lyonnaise (2/5): the potatoes were cooked okay but not seasoned enough, and again, the onions were straight up burnt. For the price point and reviews, this place was very disappointing.

I found it online while searching for wineries and this was much closer to our preferences...what a clever concept! Meeting married co-owners Megan & Rich and learning of their career backgrounds and approach to opening this business (approximately 18 months ago), it is clear that they were destined to succeed. We were greeted by a charming, welcoming gal, who we came to learn was the female vocalist of the musical duo for the evening. I thought perhaps she might be on staff, which was partially the case. Nevertheless, she was so warm & friendly, making us feel entirely welcome before we even decided where we chose to sit. Having spoken to Megan a couple days prior to make our reservation and learn basic information about Wine Therapy, I knew we'd be ordering wines to taste but also looking forward to the charcuterie board, which was filled with all the selections my husband and I enjoy: Genoa salami, prociutto, Sopresatta, almonds, figs, chocolate-covered minced raisins, apricots...Mmmmm...so great!! I don't know if this list is complete, misspelled, etc, but it was so very good and there was enough for us to take home as a tiny snack for the next day. It is disappointing to add that our attempt to add hummus dip to our initial order was unsuccessful. The same was also true for dessert. Because Megan & Rich had been away up until opening for the evening, they admitted being behind in maintaining their "back-of-the-house" orders. Kudos for her honesty and adding an extra serving of chocolate covered raisins. Wise woman you are, Megan...little things make a big difference--in business and in life! We enjoyed the evening, the music (not too loud but pleasantly audible), the wine (my husband had a "flight", I had a wine slushy...both delish) and the welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back, bring friends and won't need to wait for anyone's birthday to do so!!

My wife heard about Coastal Vino via a FB group called Pelowinos and we figured we'd stop in for a drink. We are wine drinkers with fair to good knowledge about wine and were immediately impressed by the convivial and knowledgeable owner and master-of-ceremonies, David Coy. This is a wine shop/bar. When we arrived, there were friendly patrons at the few outside tables who pegged us for tourists (non-regulars) and made sure to point us to David inside. It was busy but we were able to get stools at the small bar. David asked us about our preferences and explained pricing and how one buys the bottle vs individual glasses to drink in-shop. Fellow patrons were very complimentary of the owner's knowledge and recommendations so we decided to let him choose a red for us. He chose an excellent Spanish old-vine garnacha. Perfect choice for us and we sat happily chatting with his friendly customers. The environment was part Cheers (but with wine) and part speak-easy. People were surprised that we stumbled upon this place and teased David about his store's countrywide reach. It was very friendly and welcoming considering many were regulars and local. Very fun and what a wine bar should be. Needless to say, we left with 3 bottles, two opened (which is allowed) and one recommendation that we decided to carry home. As a wine shop, it is well curated. You will not see the "plonk" that fills most other shops (and largely pays the bills). What you will find is a wine lover's oasis with quality selections from storied wine regions and some little known gems that David is happy to key you in on. As an aficionado of wine shops, I could easily tell I would like Coastal Vino and having a guy like David in your back pocket for recommendations is golden! I wish I was local because I would be there every week. If you are in the greater Myrtle Beach area, this is a great place to find fellow wine lovers and good bottles. Bottles seemed to be $20 and up. This isn't Total Wine ( thank God). This is a place for aficionados and aspiring wine lovers who understand that well made wine doesn't have to be expensive but isn't cheap. Coastal Vino strikes just that balance in an area ripe with possibilities. If you visit once, you will visit often. Cheers to David and his lively patrons!

This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
