We downloaded a $10 audio cast and had a great tour of the area! With all the money we saved, we went to we must exquisite in the Fairmont Empress Hotel. This was the best day of our trip! Straight forward honest guy. We decided on the pedicab tour. The 4 of us loaded up and off we went. Ryan was AMAZING! We saw so much on our tour. We would have never seen all we did if we walked. Fisherman's wharf, Emily Carr home, China town, Empress Hotel, Beacon Hill Park, The Parliament buildings and so much more. He even stopped us along the way for water and a taste of the fish at the fish market. Downtown we stopped for a 15minute quick shopping adventure. Hands down the best day! Tom, the mechanic knows his stuff and also can point you to ODT trails as well as other low traffic rides. Plan your maintenance the best you can however, as he gets slammed in spring and summer, there you may experience a long wait. Nothing was broken, no bike was rolled away with, Kenny just needs to take a class or read a book or two on customer service. Shortly before she came in I was in the store looking to rent a bike. I came in with the intention of renting at 2:30 on a Tuesday and returning 10:00 am on Thursday around 44 hours. So I asked if he could give me a potential discount and he basically laughed in my face and said no, we only do calendar day rentals. So $72 a day, which is ridiculous because the other local bike store rentals for $45 a day for a similar bike. For 3 days, there is a 3 day discount of $24 off equalling $192, still ridiculous for 44 hours. They did have ten or so identical bikes outside so Kenny must be a trust fund baby or something just leaving business out there. Neither of us got a welcoming experience or any type of feeling of hospitality or simply want to have us in the store. I recommend Lopez kayaks and bicycle works just down the road, completely different experience. The only reason we didn't is they weren't open for the season yet. Id rather walk the island than rent from Village Cycles.

I went into Skagit Cycle looking for a bike rack and a comfortable seat. I would have ordered a…read morerack online, but I had no clue which one I needed for my bike or how to install it. This was the same issue for my seat. The original seat I had was too wide and was rubbing against my inner thighs as I was riding. Everything I purchased from them was reasonable and installed in an hour. I am also able to exchange the seat I purchased from them in 30 days which is my plan. The seat is the perfect size, but it is not comfortable for me. They have a nice selection of seats so I'm sure I will find another one that is softer. You should definitely give them a try.
