Terminal 1, 4, and 7 ================ Saw him outside of Terminal 4 food court where La Provence bakery, Campanile, Coles, Border Grille Truck, and Burger Bar reside. Before or after your "stuffa your face", you'll do your shoes, sole, and soul a favor and head over to Marvin's Complimentary Shoe Shine. That's right, complimentary. Tips only. He's got stations also in Terminal 1 and 7, man'ned (or woman'ned) but other quality staff. He's practically a celebrity ==================== Pictured with a virtual "who's who" (really, there's a TV with strolling pics of him pictured with EVERYONE), while you are sitting in 1 of the 4 chairs, it must be located inside of an employee or pilot lounge, because he will say hi and more to 100 people. Marvin's Complimentary Shoe Shine is exactly that...it's all complimentary. Price for your shine is based on what you're willing to tip. The way I look at it. A poor shine is better than no shine, especially when you dictate the price. Whenever I'm in the airport and have some time to kill, I usually spend it getting my shoes polished. This is also my excuse to take a load off my feet and relax. I have my favorites in Las Vegas, but won't hesitate to try other shoe shines in different airports. The shines here at Marvin's is quick and just okay. The shines are the best I've had, but heck, it's cheap depending what you're willing to tip. The guys working here aren't the most personable. They just do their job and move onto their next customer. I'm so use to Las Vegas where the shoe shiners chat you up. They also take their time to make sure your shoes are looking like new. Interesting business model. Complimentary service and they rely on tips. I guarantee you will end up paying something as Marvin's so friendly and chatty. He'll tell you his life story and how he managed to expand his business to multiple airports. Great shoe shine! Great and not too much just enough conversation with Marvin while he works a great cleaning and shine. I learned from his hawking 'you can't get the deal if you have dirty heels.' Marvin, and his co-workers if you get one of them, take pride in their trade, clean your shoes well, wax them until your shoe won't take more (2-3 applications, depending), and spit (water) buff them until you feel the heat on your toes. Marvin is one of the few remaining truly good shoe care specialists, not just a shoe shine stand. Marvin's shine is a solid 4-4.5 stars. read more

On a recent trip, the security line was so short that I actually had time to stop for an espresso and try out Marvin's. They did a really great job. My shoes looked brand new by the time he finished!
