Great cornbeef hash. They mak their own breads. Great service. Nice diner. However they had the 3rd worst restroom I've ever been in!

Late breakfast today had the eastern omlette add mushrooms & sausage with the most amazing spicy hashbrowns... Can't forget the in-house made sourdough and pickle bread, which is to die for from Marvin's Corner Lunch Diner!

    Hot sauces

Had an amazing brunch here with friends. This diner has a cool retro feel to it. The waitress was super friendly and it was a great place to have a casual meal and catch up with friends or family. They had a really cool selection of hot sauces made locally in Worcester and with local ingredients. I really love the local business vibe and feel like I'm supporting the neighborhood. We ordered the hash and eggs ($12), Mrs. B's Favorite ($12), and the Sampler ($12). I highly recommend you ask for the spicy hashbrowns for your potato option instead of the home fries. I've had a lot of hash browns at breakfast places all over the country, but Marvin's are really special and stand above the rest. The paprika and spices they add to their crispy hash browns make them absolutely delicious. Another standout is their home-made bread. They make their own sourdough in-house and it was super fluffy with just the right amount of tang to go well with the sunny-side up eggs I had. They also had golden raisin bread as an option which I'll definitely try next time! There was an option to make my corned beef hash crispy which I really liked as it gave it a great texture and made it a lot less oily than a lot of other places I've had. For the Mrs. B's Favorite, we chose two bacon and two sausages which we upgraded to spicy Italian sausages. The sausages and bacon were pretty standard but nevertheless tasted good. The pancakes that came with the Sampler were also pretty basic and not something I would especially recommend over other places. Overall, it was a delicious brunch and I can't wait to come again!

Corned Beef Hash, homemade English muffin, egg over hard, hash browns with onions

Why is there no line here? The corned beef hash is yummy and homemade (NOT a cat food pancake), the chocolate chocolate pancakes are extra chocolaty (inside AND garnished) and fluffy, and they actually have hash browns. Friendly service, lots of light, and homemade bread. Excellent diner experience.

We're from out of town and decided to stop here for breakfast because I was starving ! Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a great place. We were greeted when we walked in , very friendly server! I didn't catch her name , the chef was also very kind. I've worked in the food industry and chefs tend to be hot headed. Definitely stop by and grab a bite . The food was great , I got the French toast and the boys got fries and a grilled cheese , my boyfriend got hash with eggs !

Mrs. B's Favorite: 2 sunny side up eggs, 2 bacon, 2 spicy sausage, spicy hashbrown and sourdough toast.

Great customer service with a smile. Good tasting food and their thick sliced bread is amazing. Old style diner, omelettes were amazing.

Went for a Valentine's Day brunch with friends!…read more Food - incredibly good, I highly recommend the breakfast poutine. Lots of flavor and the kielbasa was amazing! My bf got the corned beef hash, he mentioned it was good but very dry. He was rather eating my plate more than his own. I would say the corned beef hash is interesting as it has homefries mixed in, which was a bit much for us. Service - quick, got us in and got all of our orders correct even with a full house. We waited approx. 40 mins for a table though for 6 people even though we were quoted 20 mins. Ambiance - the ambiance was good, it's a nice little restaurant and has nice waitresses/waiters. However, for such a busy place, there is literally no parking due to it being so packed. Also, they don't take reservations on weekends, which makes it even tougher. Overall, good experience (besides the wait) and everyone had great food!

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and that always makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was some of the best we had on our entire vacation, and we found it on the way home of all places! I ordered the breakfast poutine, which I genuinely didn't know I was missing in my life until I tried it. My boyfriend got the buratta chicken sandwich from the specials list, and he said it was a 10/10. The vibe of the restaurant is really fun and welcoming, too. They have a great cocktail menu with options like espresso martinis and Bloody Marys, which Ive gotta come back and try. Such a great little spot if you're in the Worcester area. We'll absolutely be stopping back!

You'd be forgiven for walking past without a second look, assuming it's just another mom and pop breakfast and lunch joint. One doing a brisk takeout business for the neighboring businesses and likely not a place you'd try for more upscale fare. You'd be wrong! Beyond the admittedly dated decor and past the countertop service of dinner standards is a kitchen that turns out food that hits well above its weight. With a daily list of specials that would do most $50 a plate restaurants proud expect to have your first impressions blown away. Haddock cooked with a very Mediterranean mix of artichokes, olives, onions, and cherry tomato's in a lemon/butter/ fish stock, Jambalaya done wet in the traditional New Orleans style with house made creol seasoning, a shrimp and veg stir fry with Bok Choy served uniquely with fat fettuccine noodles in the house made broth. All spectacularly good, all incredibly under priced! A word about the wine list: there is none! Far better, it's BYOB with food that justifies pulling your better bottles. Perfect. Don't spread this around, but the daily lunch specials mirror the by reservation only dinner menu...for half the price. In sum, Theater Cafe far exceedes expectations and delivers a remarkable value. You come here for the food, not for the ambiance, perfect service, to be seen by the right people, or God forbid because some snooty food critic deigned to give it 5 stars. It's a place Michelin will never review and we should all be greatful for that.

My fiancé and I had been having a lot of trouble finding a venue that could host our crowd at a reasonable price, so we were beyond thrilled when Birchtree not only accommodated our 60 guests beautifully, but we actually ended up under budget. From start to finish, the service was phenomenal. The team was genuinely invested in making sure our night was perfect. They went above and beyond in every way and more than accommodated anything we needed. We had an outpouring of texts the next day from our guests. So many people let us know how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful of a time they had. The space itself truly showed a refined elegance which was the perfect kickoff to our wedding season. If you're thinking about working with BirchTree, Jayne, Caitlin, and the entire staff we're incredibly organized and attentive to detail, helping us set up, pack up, and even ensured all guests had clean tables, fresh drinks, and the bar staff recommended really unique cocktails & mocktails! We are so grateful to the entire BirchTree team, especially Jayne and Caitlin for helping us set the tone for our wedding.
