Fresh, obviously homemade soups and hearty dishes. The service was excellent. I've sat at the counter for my visits but there's ample booths and tables. The atmosphere is distinctly local and welcoming. Go here for the food! Daily specials will be listed: sausage and pepper soup, cordon blue chicken wrap, corn chowder, multiple breakfast choices. Cash only. Love this place!

Worcester style diner with a few rooms added to it. The mushroom and cheese omelette was great. The game changer here are the home fries. These are some of the best home fries I have ever had. These things have a great complex flavor profile.

Always good food! Place is great. Good service. I have been here a few times and have had nothing but a great experience. The food is always spectacular and I will come back.

This was my first time here. The menu is extensive and I like the wide variety. I got the banana walnut waffle, which tasted great. Upon further inspection, there were pieces of BLACK PLASTIC embedded in the bottom part of the waffle. I had already eaten more than half of it at this point. I called them and they did nothing to make up for it. I'm sure the other food is fine, but if you're ordering the waffle, check the bottom before eating it.

This cash-only diner has been my favorite breakfast spot in town for over a decade, even after Covid. The menu has so many options and you really can't go wrong with anything. Coffee comes right away (and they'll keep refilling your cup if it looks low) and the food isn't far behind. Despite being short staff, they do a good job of turning tables throughout the morning rush.

For food we had the fish and chips and the regular cheese burger. The burger was 9/10! The bread was fresh the ingredients felt fresh and cooked to the temperature I asked. The fish n chips didn't disappoint for a burger spot. Overall, I would definitely come back. The big bar had plenty of seating and the cabin vibes in the main dining hall felt like home. The bartenders were excellent good place to go if you're looking for good service as they were very attentive and friendly.

I cant believe that I am actually writing a review for Ground Round. The last time that I was in…read moreone, Yelp didn't exist. So, when a good friend called and told me that there was a new one that opened in Shrewsbury, it was off to the races. I had to experience this. Service: We got seated nearly instantaneously when we got in the door and the place was already quite busy by the time that we got there. My friend got a salad of some sort with a sandwich and I got one of their signature burgers. The waitress appeared in a timely fashion, took the orders, had drinks on the table in no time, and was very attentive to any and all needs. Ambiance: It was on a Saturday during sports season, so there was a lot of noise and chaos going on, but that is always how I remembered the Ground Round. It is NOT a restaurant that you are going to read a good book in. The fact that this restaurant also had high cathedral ceilings which increased the acoustics, made it a little more unbearable for people who like quieter spots. But to me and my friend, it was not a dealbreaker. Food: After all, what were we doing there for anyways, but the food? It was very good. She enjoyed her dish, and my burger was actually one of those "skyscraper" burgers that are impossible to grip with two hands or get into your mouth for a bite. After dining at the Ground Round again, I am moderately confident that I could take a bite out of the Prudential Center if the need arose. Don't get me wrong, the burger was tasty, juicy, and done to perfection, but it was yuuuuge. Overall, if I could give the Ground Round a 1/2 a star I would make my rating of them a 4 and a 1/2 stars venue. I will definitely be back and look forward to meeting my friend there again for lunch. :) -S

Wish the bun was more buttery & grilled. Although their fries were fresh and crunchy - margarita was tasty! $14 blanco tequila, orange liqueur, agave, lime (didn't get salt rim) The parking lot had lots of spaces but for some reason everyone was driving crazy backing out. Does no one look when they back out!? It happened coming in and going out. So strange!

I think this was middle of the road type of shakshuka, not too bad not too great. The HOMEMADE corned beef hash is different than the corned beef hash on the menu, but this was good. Service: our server was super nice and attentive, quick and fast with drinks as well as food. First off, we asked for coffee and water. No BS, the water had a bad aftertaste. The coffee was ok but I couldn't help but wonder what I was drinking if it was made with the same water. We ordered two breakfasts, my son had scrambled eggs with ham and toast. He didn't eat a quarter of it because he said the ham tasted funny. The potatoes were not seasoned and appear to have been deep fried. For my breakfast I had the veggie omelet with American cheese. I was served an omelet that was literally leaking water since nobody bothered to squeeze the water out of the diced vegetable. There was no cheese. I didn't want the toast or potatoes so I asked for the corn muffin. The muffin was cut in half but somehow they burned one half of tbe muffin. Let me ask again, in an area with classic diners serving amazing food and sit down restaurants where the food is legitimately great why would I ever eat here again.
