He even asked for a different barber and the new barber also did a poor quality job. Its painfully uneven from the back and looks like a mullet hack job. This morning I came in for my scheduled appointment, which I made the previous week via the website. Arrived early and was quickly situated in the barber's chair within my designated time slot. I was asked what kind of cut I was looking to get, and I poorly explained how I usually cut/style my hair. Matt took my brief answer and delivered the exact style I wanted. He was very personable and conversational throughout the process, making sure to ask specific questions about the cut and confirm my answers; e.g. he asked about my sideburns--what shape I wanted--and how to proceed with their meeting of my beard. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed, as if I was a frequent regular with whom he had worked with many times. It was the entire experience, along with Matt's thoroughness, that solidified my decision to come back for my next cut.

This shop was exactly what I was looking for…read more Having just moved to Roseville from Sacramento, I had to look for a new barbershop to go to. All I need was a quick zero on the sides and two on top, beard trim and shape, nothing more and nothing less. No need for a fancy shop that charges an arm and a leg. A classic, old school type barber shop and this was it. Great classic tin signs all over, tons of respect for our first responders, and lots of local and national sports love. I came in as a first timer on a rainy Friday morning as soon as their shop opened. I can tell that they have built a lot of rapport with the local community and beyond and upon walking in, I can tell why. These guys shoot the bird and are true artist about their crafts without all the fancy stuff other "high end" shops provide. Quiet for me as I was just taking in the atmosphere but it was a great place to be and seemed like a great hang. I got what I asked for, and an amazing cut as well. I didn't ask the barbers name but he was on the second chair. He was very polite in asking what I needed, and at the end he made sure it was what I asked for.
