Eva and Johnnie are awesome. My kids love their cuts, and I love how thorough they are in explaining all of their options for styles/techniques. They really take their time and it shows in their quality of work. My teen is really hard to impress, and both times he's left Eva's chair, he's had a huge smile on his face (which never happens). I went in looking like a half-forgotten caveman and came out looking like I had a black-tie event with royalty in ten minutes. Strangers compliment my hair now. Birds chirp when I walk by. Children weep with joy. My own reflection high-fives me every morning. The shop itself is spotless, the vibe is chill, and the conversations are somehow both hilarious and deeply philosophical. We have been on the hunt for an amazing barber for my 14 year old and we are beyond happy to have finally found Johnnie. My son wanted to change up his normal cut and we didn't really know how to articulate that. However, Johnnie listened to what we were trying to explain and absolutely nailed it. Johnnie & Jay provide a great cut for me when I was getting an undercut! My nephew also loves coming to get his haircut here because he feels "cool". They're nice people who provide excellent cuts and the shop has a great atmosphere. I love the music and decor, the whole vibe really. It's fun to see the dogs there too. Highly recommend for kid and adult cuts!! I find it easier to park in the lot behind the shop and walk between the laundromat and the Ace Hardware, but if you're not scared of street parking, that's usually available too! read more

To say Johnnie is a master of his craft is an understatement, I trust my beard to no one but him, I've followed him through 4 moves in the last year and I'm super happy him and Jay have a forever home at Salties, these people true are great artist, come for the hair/beer trim, but stay for the shop dogs and beer, good people who I really can't recommend enough. If you are looking for experienced barbers than can line you up, do an amazing bald fade, hot shave, ect ect look no furth. Feels very comforting with the dogs chilling on the waiting bench next to you just askin for pets. This is a prime example of what a tradtional babes shop should be. Very chill place with talented, super friendly barbers. Only cut men's hair. Easy online booking system. Always on time. Don't allow late arrivals. Can be hard to park when downtown Loomis is busy, so leave an extra few minutes for that. Don't go there if their unleashed dog or occasional, conversational f-bombs would bother you.
