Very nice. Theatre is modern, piano player, performer & a very cool bar. Small & cozy no bad seats in the house. Magic & comedy. Great way to spend a few hours.

Our first visit to Marvyn's Magic Theater was AMAZING! Yvonne was so kind when my husband opened the door to their establishment HOURS before they opened. We apologized and explained that we were unsure if they were open or not and that we'd long been curious about their business. Yvonne kindly invited us in and gave us a FULL TOUR of their STUNNING theater! There is a beautiful lobby where one check's in... then there's a bar where there is live music and entertainment BEFORE the nightly show. And lastly, there is a beautiful theater with stadium seating for their nightly show! We happened to be having dinner a few doors down so after dinner we returned for the show! We had such an amazing time! We're hosting out of town friends in January and we've booked our tickets for an event during our friends stay! We're excited to return!

They were meant to shine! And not just to be stars, but Superstars! I'm talking about my girl Taylor and her Life... The Life of a ShowGirl Yes, for 3 days only (October 3rd-5th 2025), Taylor Swift had a release party in theatres where she broke down all 12 songs from her latest album showing behind the scenes looks and giving fans an inside look of each song and their meanings. Of course, the best part was showing every aspect of the making of her music video for her hit song: The Fate of Ophelia. The amount of detail, creativity, passion, and the dedication for absolute perfection truly showed why Taylor is a master of her craft and why she is a true Icon in the music industry. ----------------------------------- And here is how it went down... I had seen that this special release party was going to be released in theatre's at the same time that we were going to be visiting Palm Springs for the weekend so I secretly purchased tickets in advance to surprise my wife and 3 daughters. The day of the show, we drove from P.S. to La Quinta and made our way to the Century Theatre's. Once inside, We grabbed our popcorn, our candy, our Icee's and at 12:00 sharp, it was Showtime! Not really knowing what to expect about what we were about to watch, I was excited to see my 3 daughter's faces light up and watch how their eyes were glued to the Big Screen with anticipation. Fast forward to the end of the film... Wow.... Wow. Wow. Wow!!! Talk about Epic! I was so glad we were able to experience this on the big screen, it really gave insight to her album and a better appreciation of her talents and why we are fans. The Century La Quinta Theatre is top notch and made the experience memorable. Clean, premiere seating, and a great concession area... How going to the movies should be! So.... I hope they listen to there customers and bring the old seats back but most importantly turn down the temperature.

You have the option to valet or self-park, either way you'll be paying for overnight parking. Check-in was a breeze and our room was larger than we expected and clean. I booked here because I have a toddler and knew they had a splash pad, lazy river, wading pool, and other regular pools. The first day we got to the pool around 3 and finding chairs in the shade next to each other was easy. The next day was a different story. Guests will go out to the pool first thing in the morning to lay out their towels and then leave it unattended for hours on end. We also noticed the pool looks great in the early part of the day but by the late afternoon the pool is murky. I get it, that's going to happen when there's that many people using the pool but still. I only recommend this hotel to young families. I couldn't imagine coming here with just my husband. There are kids everywhere. They dominate the pools and you'll see them running through the lobby and down the halls. None of this bothered us with our toddler and like I said, I booked here knowing what I was getting. This is solely a warning. Don't book a romantic couples getaway here thinking it'll be relaxing. Stick to the boutique hotels!

I spent $1000 on top of that we have a $45 valet fee for every day and poorly maintained. The rooms were not clean upon arrival, and overall cleanliness throughout the property was lacking. To make matters worse, the air conditioner did not work and our room was at 78° and I called the front office and no one ever came up which is unacceptable at this price point. The pool area, which is supposed to be one of the highlights of the hotel, was also disappointing. The water did not appear clean, no where is the waitresses to come to our pool after we spent over 1000 for the weekend. For the price charged, I expected a much higher standard in terms of cleanliness, service, and overall upkeep. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Fantastic Pre-Season Soccer in Palm Desert…read more - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament, and we had a GREAT TIME!! The Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament is pre-season soccer for men (MLS) and women (NWSL), played at the Empire Polo Club in February each year. We have visited Palm Desert for many years, and have visited before and after the tournament the past couple years, but have missed attending; thankfully schedules aligned this year. After watching previous games on YouTube, this year we got to be there in person! The tournament's site offers some challenges on finding General Admission tickets; after some time we found that the Los Angeles Galaxy (LAG) were managing the tickets; a quick call with Miguel, who was very helpful, and we soon had our tickets in the app ready to be there for the soccer. Thanks, Miguel!! Parking for soccer was easy to find based on the online map and following the signs. For food, under the semi-permanent tent they have food trucks and an open bar. Here is little shade on the fields; some palm trees in the corners offer a place to cool off; otherwise if the skies are clear, the Palm Desert sun will provide copious doses of Vitamin D to lift your spirits. DJ Alf Alpha provided dance tubes all day and there were various soccer skills for fans to participate in. Even when the weather is not as nice as it was for us, this is still a great facility, with low humidity. Fun fact... the Salton Sea is the second lowest point in the US, after Badwater Basin / Death Valley; if I calculated correctly, the Empire Polo Club elevation is 5-20 feet. Thank you to everyone who makes the Coachella Valley Invitational possible! As Major League Soccer transitions its season to match the rest of the world, and to spread across two years, but no soccer in cold Jan/Fen nor hot July/Aug, we hope you'll continue the tournament as a mid-season break tourney. ----- ----- -----
