The cashier was friendly. Tables were not as clean as you had hope for to think it was empty. I was there at 12 noon to grab lunch. Pricing was reasonable for what you get. Chicken was juicy. The texture is very similar. Soft kinda soft chicken skin with a Canadian maple leaf on the seasoning. It's similar but not the same as the original recipe US cousin. I've been here a few times. It seems to have improved recently. Place is cleaner and the customer services is top notch for any establishment never mind a fast food joint. I was served by a jolly Asian uncle who spoke very fast yet I understood every word and he actually brought my order to my table when it was ready! Chicken was delicious. Wow...I have not had such an amazing fast food fried chicken in a long time! I wanted to give this restaurant a try as I noticed this restaurant in the area. We were greeted right away. It took some time to decide on what to order but we settled on a two piece chicken combo (one spicy piece and one regular piece) and a Big Mary Sandwich. We saw staff sanitizing the tables between customers. There are only two tables for dine in seating at this time. Food arrived shortly after we were seated. Everything was fresh. The wedges were pipping hot. The chicken was tender and juicy. The spicy chicken wing piece was not spicy enough for my liking. There was hot sauce available. The macaroni and cheese was alright. The sandwich was made well with a good sized piece of chicken, lettuce and a good coating of mayonnaise on the bun. Kids even got a goodie bag for Halloween! Customer service was amazing. This is my go-to place for fried chicken in Surrey now. The chicken here is way better than Popeyes on 64 Ave and the KFC on King George. We have done take-out and dine-in. The coleslaw is always fresh. The tater (fries) is delicious and not greasy. I like its spicy fried chicken. When I say "spicy" I mean it! It is seasoned right and you definitely get the kick. The chicken is also not dry. The coating is not flaky but crispy. The staff is friendly. The store manager even asked about our experience when we chose dine-in. When you go to a fast food restaurant, you almost never expect anyone working there asking how you like your food. They have clean and spacious washroom. Awful - just awful. Even crappy KFC is better. The macaroni/cheese salad has no taste. The fries are the skinny ones like you get in a bag in the frozen food section. The gravy is typical canned gel. The spicy non-crispy chicken has so much cayenne pepper that no one here can eat it and we love spicy, but not crazy burning. Our mouths, tongues are burning. Time to get some Pepto Bismol. Mary Brown's has become one of my favorite chicken places. I actually would say it is number 1 in my opinion when it comes to fast food fried chicken hehe. And it's because of 3 things: service, quality, and staff. We have ordered take out in person and through the food apps, and never had any issues. The chicken has always been juicy and fresh. I had been going to this restaurant for take out for many months and now the economy must be getting worse because the owner of this establishment refused to place my pickles in a container on the side of my Mary browns famous chicken burger instead of on top making my burger soggy. Mr Ali not only refused to fix the problem but to add insult to injury, the customer that ordered after me who was a family member of Mr Ali requested mayo on the side and Mr Ali was sure to remind the back staff that this was a family member's daughter and be sure to not make a error. On the evening of March 29 after my disappointing experience Mr Ali called me at 930 pm to yell at me and take the position that he made a corporate decision to not allow pickles on the side of orders. Don't even bother contacting head office of Mary Browns because my complaint has fallen on to deaf ears. According to another review on Yelp made by Ivee J, Mr. Ali seems to yell at customers who make requests. Bottom line if you are related to this Mr. Ali you can get mayo or anything for that matter on the side. If you are not related to this owner, there are many Mary browns in the area I am sure they won't mind putting the pickles on the side or any other reasonable request. He will yell and embarrass you in front of others and when confronted instead of making the situation better he made you feel like it is your fault. I got my meal and wondered if I had the right order because the box was beyond small, Before I left the car park I checked to see if I had the right meal. So me an my family go here a lot, an this location has made so much mistakes with our order. I went again trying to explain myself to the owner I brought my food back with my recipe. I told him this is your 3ed time giving me spicy Burger, an it's ok if it was for myself cuz I'm an adult. But this was for my kids an there both in tears crying because of how spicy it was. I purchased two three piece combo meals for my wife and I today and the chicken and potatoes were on point. The chicken was perfect, warm and tasty with great seasoning on the skin. The potatoes were delicious, again perfectly seasoned, and their coleslaw is my new favourite with a great taste. Hands down the best for fast food.
