Needless to say, Mary Dodier exceeded our expectations. This woman KNOWS her stuff and knows how to take damaged goods and reveal the diamond in the rough while keeping it real the entire time! Not only was she generous enough to take both my mom and I on in the same day, but she took on the challenge of treating hair that was over processed, tangled, dry, brittle, think and fine, and damaged and turned it into hydrated healing with a good deep condition, and great tips and advice to keep it healthy and strong. I'm always scared going to new hair stylist, but seen Mary on yelp and she had nothing but good reviews, so I went for it. I'm so happy I did cause she did such a good job on my hair. I had mid length hair and wanted to go much shorter. And it looks great, and after going home and the next day having to do it myself and play with it, it still falls the same and easy to style. I have been looking for 12 years since I've moved to Sac to find someone who knew how to care for my hair and could style my hair. I usually find one or the other but not both. I've been going to Mary's Salon on Franklin for over 5 years now. Her place is nice and clean and always busy! I've learned to make an appointment with her. I have tried several of her services: and have been satisfied with everyone! I've done the hair straightening, hair dye, hair cut n' mainance and I even get the keratin/extra conditioning services with her too. I trust her so much with my hair that we have even started to try different colors. My signature color is Mahogany, but.... I ONLY go to her and now I take my girls too! I have been going to Mary for my hair care since 2014 and I am a loyal client! She is extremely friendly and very talented and professional. When I first came to her my hair was damaged, dry, and loved to break off. She was able to restore my hair with deep conditioning treatments under my weave installs, and I now have long healthy natural hair. I still go to Mary to get a weave installation, usually with leave out because she does not do frontals too often, but at my last appointment she installed a frontal for me and it looks amazing!
