What you will find here is pretty much the best of the best of what is out there in the marketplace. The buyer for this shop obviously takes their time and truly find those unique items before they put them on the floor. In terms of size, this is a small shop. But, within the four walls, they have so much stuff, it's really amazing. They also use the outdoors, in front of the shop, as a space to exhibit their items. Again, out here, you find a whole lot of interesting stuff. This is one of those shops where the old saying goes, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it. The prices here are not cheap. That's not a criticism, that's just a statement of fact. So, when you go in there you're just gonna have to expect to pay the rates that are asked if you want the item. It's as simple as that. Some are more run of the mill mass produced items like candles, purses, slippers, books and such. While other items were clearly thrifted and one of a kind or vintage. Very neat to have that kind of a variety. For example you can get a $20 skill candle or a $400 old operating table. See what I mean? It's definitely a great store to browse around. I easily spent 20 minutes just looking between their three rooms. The reason I did dock one star though is that while it was fun to browse, it's not necessarily my kind of merch. To each their own. Even more so I did find some of the prices to be a little high, maybe it's just me. One example I could give was I found a pretty simple necklace with a bat and heart that I've literally seen a hundred times over at Claire's. That necklace easily is about $7 or so, but here they were selling it for $35. I get they need to make a profit but the quality wasn't there and it was giving child's costume jewelry at a more expensive price. Surely they need to make the rent and knowing that a lot of people who come in are more so "just looking around" it makes sense prices need to be adjusted. A final positive to end on a good note is that the staff are absolutely lovely here. There were multiple staff working which I appreciated. Everyone was very very nice and welcoming. Okay, I've had some time to chill out and I think I can more eloquently express my issue with this…read moreplace, and why I will never, ever go back. First, they claim this is a boutique, yet I've found more fast fashion here than anything else, including old Forever 21. The clothing is not curated whatsoever, or really even organized more than the basic long sleeves together, pants together, etc. Boutiques curate their clothing, display and merchandise it, and usually pay for their clothing (though not in all cases). This place is a small thrift store, but filled with women from a local church who give church ladies the reputation we all know about. Judgy, holier-than-thou, etc. I was here when they got a large donation - yes, donation - from the Johnny Carson Estate, including a ton of his wife's clothing. The pieces were vintage and in great shape, and all designer. That's awesome, good for them! Why did they fill the store with only those items, and attempt to sell them at the highest possible point in the range of their retail value? Because typically their clothing is actually pretty reasonable, this was a super surprise to myself and MULTIPLE other people in the store, all of whom were commenting on it. When I asked what was going on and if someone had lost their mind pricing items in a thrift store at $2k plus, a woman who didn't work there started attempting to belittle me for 'not knowing fabric' and not knowing the value of things. Lady, I worked in a wardrobe department for years, and resell high end vintage clothing. Further, even if I didn't, who on earth speaks to a stranger that way, and especially in a thrift store? Belittling people for not having money or knowing designer clothing is bad enough, but doing so in a store that is supposed to be for those people to be able to cloth themselves is just plain disgusting behavior. The woman in question was absolutely friends with all the women working there, and I already know that birds of a feather, so I won't be coming back to this place as I don't want to ever support women who behave like this. When I called the woman out for her behavior, she denied it, then said 'this conversation is over' because that's what narcissists do when they can't defend their actions. That woman was a disgusting jerk, and she gives that place a bad name - a name I believe it deserves, unfortunately. Avoid if possible!

**December 2025: Sunday Late Morning Visit**…read more My friend and I finished our breakfast early and we still had time before our event so we decided to check out a thrift shop nearby. The Council Shop- Burbank was close by so we opted to make a detour. The shop is located right along the major street, but we lucked out with street parking right in front. The shop had a good variety of pretty much everything. There was a small/medium size area of men's clothing, home goods, and decor, while the store had a very robust selection of women's clothing. Many things were categorize with certain pricing; however, there were some items that were individually priced. I bought a pair of black suede made in Italy boots (which I loved) for $25 and a new with tags swimsuit for $11. I thin the quality of the donations they accept seem pretty high so the next time I come back to Burbank I'd be open to drop in again!

She's been really condescending on other visits too, like asking me to leave when I'd have my phone out sometimes when I'd come by, not even when I'm on the phone. I don't know what her problem is but definitely won't be back anytime soon. Really disappointing cause there's a lot of cool stuff in there but her attitude really ruins the experience. If you're looking for a good thrift store experience in the area the Out of the Closet a few blocks up is a lot better.
