I honestly had no idea what to expect when working with a professional photographer but her service was exceptional. She's super friendly, easy-going, efficient, and communicative. Everything went unbelievably smoothly. We had Elyana for 2 hours during our elopement and she made it so fun and easy to be in front of a camera. She provided a lot of much-needed direction and our session went by so quickly and smoothly. She even helped grab my veil when I forgot it in my suite! I'm not photogenic so I was nervous about looking like a total derp after many wonderful vendors had put so much work into my hair, makeup, dress, and florals... But her artistic sense and prompting really made for some amazing pictures. She works fast! Sneak peeks and full gallery were received well before their promise dates. Granted, it probably helped that we only had a 2 hour elopement session, but the speedy turnaround time is super appreciated nonetheless. My bridal makeup ran a little behind schedule, but they handled it so gracefully and were able to get all the getting-ready and bridal shots we needed while making sure we never once felt rushed or stressed. Throughout the day, they went above and beyond in ways I didn't even expect, like fixing hair and outfits that were slightly out of place, making sure photos were balanced, and capturing extra poses to make sure everything looked perfect. They made everyone in our wedding party feel so comfortable and at ease. During the reception, so many guests came up to the sweetheart table to take photos. Family portraits were already on the timeline, but so many additional families who weren't even on the photo list came up wanting to be captured, and Janice and Edwin were so gracious and kept going to make sure everyone was included. That kind of warmth and flexibility is truly rare. While their contract had a set window of time, they came early and stayed late because they genuinely wanted to make sure all of our big moments were captured. That kind of dedication means the world to us. What also made them extra special was that they speak both Cantonese and English, which made our guests feel so comfortable and included throughout the entire day. Since we had chosen our photographer based on her work and style, we would have really appreciated being informed about the change ahead of time. During the wedding, we also didn't feel completely confident that the replacement photographer knew exactly what we were looking for. There are definitely photos from our gallery that we love and are grateful to have, but overall, the experience and final collection didn't fully match the candid style and expectations we had going into our wedding day.
