My mom's cat was very sick and was safely secured inside a crate while she quickly stopped in. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, she was immediately told to leave. I understand that businesses may have a no-pets policy, and that's completely within their rights. However, there is a difference between enforcing a policy and how you treat people. A little kindness, empathy, or even a simple explanation would have gone a long way. The lack of sympathy shown during what was already a stressful situation was very unfortunate. Other stores, including larger chains, have handled similar situations much more respectfully. It wasn't the policy itself that was upsetting--it was the way it was enforced. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

The owner also agrees only one can be purchased at the marked price on the label. while the others have to be charged the $1.48 I have always been taught that whatever the price that is marked is what I have to be charged. They lied and did not charge me market price but tried to charge me a completely different price that was listed only in their system. We didn't see as many discounted deals as we're used to seeing at GO's in our hometown area, but we saw some good deals all the same. We only bought a couple of bags of chips for our road trip, b/c that's all we needed as we had brought plenty of food and snacks with us, but we're glad to have seen this GO and stopped by, and now when we pass by here, we'll know there's a dependable GO on the way to the coast when we are headed out that way! A lot of the staff automatically assume you speak Spanish, and it's actually pretty rare to find someone working who speaks English well enough to help. Sometimes it feels like it's inconvenient for the staff when you don't speak Spanish, which shouldn't be the case at all. I also found expired cat food while shopping and placed it to the side thinking someone would remove it, but when I came back two weeks later it was STILL sitting there expired. That was really concerning. Another frustrating change is the checkout process. It used to be convenient being able to buy beans, rice, and groceries all together, but now everything has to be done in separate transactions and separate lines, which just makes shopping take longer for no reason. I still go occasionally when I absolutely have to, but honestly if I find somewhere closer and more welcoming, I'd rather shop there instead.
