I always come here to shop and I always have a personable experience. Except for tonight tonight I go in to grab my kids milk and a few other items. I noticed the milk that my son loves to drink is $.99. I get to the register and it rings up for $1.48. The manager comes addresses the issue says she will only allow me to purchase one, I have a total of five in total. Another manager comes and says she will only acknowledge one of my five regardless of the tag. She expresses if I have further to express to reach out to the owner, I expressed please call the store owner. Next paragraph at that point they take their phones out and reach out to the owner of this particular store located on 11th St. in Tracy 95637. The owner also agrees only one can be purchased at the marked price on the label. while the others have to be charged the $1.48 I have always been taught that whatever the price that is marked is what I have to be charged. They lied and did not charge me market price but tried to charge me a completely different price that was listed only in their system. A typical Grocery Outlet, but a pretty nice one. There were watermelons for 29c/lb! That's a great price. We were just en route to a destination and stopped by here on a whim, but it looked like a clean, well-organized store, with reasonable prices. We didn't see as many discounted deals as we're used to seeing at GO's in our hometown area, but we saw some good deals all the same. We only bought a couple of bags of chips for our road trip, b/c that's all we needed as we had brought plenty of food and snacks with us, but we're glad to have seen this GO and stopped by, and now when we pass by here, we'll know there's a dependable GO on the way to the coast when we are headed out that way! DO NOT SHOP HERE! The cashiers steal your groceries! My SIL bought groceries here, took them in his hand no bag. Dropped his stuff on the seat and realized 2 organic steaks were missing. He immediately returned and the Cashier said she put them in his bag? Huh what bag??? He carried them to the car. The manager Danielle said she reviewed the tapes, but didn't let him look at it. She stated he took them and basically accused him of lying. This WAS their households (6 adults) go to shopping store, they spend well over $2,000 a month here! Since the new owners took over the store has never been the same. There is this awful smell every time you enter and the produce is always expired, it's like the new owners do not care about the consumer. The cashiers are the worst! No customer service whatsoever. Been a supporter of grocery outlet for YEARS. Since before the new owners and even more so after the new owners took over. I enjoyed the cool deals but would also make it a point to shop here. When my boyfriend went to pick up some groceries like we do every week from here he didn't receive two of his steaks. $25 worth of organic steak. We could've gone to Costco to get our groceries and from now on, that will be the only choice we'll make. When my boyfriend got back to his car he realized he didn't get some of his groceries. He came back in and asked the cashier immediately said she bagged them but he didn't GET A BAG. He reminded her that she asked him twice even. He carried his items out as we always do. They said they rolled back the cameras, and that he did get them. I'd like to know where these steaks went? Did they disappear into thin air? I guess the "owner" came out and talked to him which is great, but why go through all that trouble to call him a liar? My brother and I have come 2 times now to shop for groceries and OTC supplements. Hasn't been very crowded each time, which is nice to be able to maneuver around and no long lines to check out. It's a mix of small sections/limited variety of products and other sections of average midsize grocery sections. For example, their meat section was pretty small, but they did have a great deal/price for chicken legs and beef chubs Prices are, on average, cheaper than big supermarket stores. However, it did depend on what you are looking for and the amount/size of the product. Now that the .99 cent store is gone, this well be the next best place to stay on a budget for grocery shopping unless the big box stores have a good sale. On average, though, this is a better one-stop budget shopping option. Double check the expiration dates on regular prices and deals. We did see some products that were past the expiration date. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we were looking for some assistance and at check out. read more

The cashier ran to clear me an area to sit, put a cold towel on my neck, gave me water to drink, and a trash can to puke in. Was throwing up in front of the citizens of Tracy on my to do list today? They have the lowest prices you will find. You won't find certain niche brands that you might get at another store but that's because they look for deals and thus can give you great prices! When I saw a one star review of this store on 4/17, I was very surprised. Regarding the situation that you are referring to the checkers and managers have ALWAYS been super helpful, honest and up front about everything. I go to this store at least once week for the last 10 years or more that this store has been opened. I visited this store around the second week of May. I remember because I was searching for a particular box of brownie mix on sale and asked associate Kristy if she could help me with locating it. She responded by saying, "I don't have the time right now." I shrugged it off and helped myself. I found it rude but it wasn't a huge deal I guess. I am a local business owner and have multiple ads on various social media platforms. Coincidentally enough, this same woman messaged me on facebook slandering me and making racist remarks over a spelling error I had in my facebook ad. Id say overall this Tracy location is great and usually has interesting items to choose from. I frequent this one as its closest to me. Good prices for sure. Id give 4 stars if they put prices on everything. Every time I find items on shelves with no price tags making it annoying to walk up to register and price check and then back to my shopping. Perhaps a price checker would be great somewhere in the aisles or end-cap areas. Id give 5 stars if the prices were consistent and labeled but aside from this, the bro with short dark hair and glasses stocking shelves is a bit awkward and rude costing the other star. I was having trouble breathing as the store was very hot one day and started to faint and gasp for air(during the early covid times) and all this dude could say was "mask needs to go over the mouth and nose" like woah dude... Chill out and let me catch my breath and fix the dang AC in the place. I was not gonna battle this rude employee at all and just finished my shopping and left. To this day when i see him, its always a frustrated face he has and makes me feel uncomfortable to even ask for help if i have questions in store. I visit Grocery Outlet regularly and always manage to find great items. Delighted by Desserts Hummus, Belgian Boys Waffles, Three Twins Ice Cream and ''Bake at home'' Bread, Mio water enhancers. Not to mention the insane deals of protein bars and supplements. The store itself does look a little disheveled and it is always a good idea to check the dates as a lot of items are short dated otherwise there's no complaints here. I've saved a huge amount at this store and is worth the extra drive from Grant line on a grocery shopping trip. read more

It's a great place to go to supplement your grocery list but you most likely won't be able to fill your fridge from this store alone. They have some quirky items, which after doing some research about the company, is how they stay so cheap. I used to go to grocery outlet regularly because they were the only store in Tracy that carried the rodopa brand Bulgarian feta that I like, but they unfortunately don't sell it anymore. They have a pretty cool plant selection year round. The only selection I would say is slacking is the snacks. The frozen berry section is huge. Do be cautious with the powdered supplements though and do your research on the brand BEFORE purchasing. Also, check expiration dates. Sometimes, items are cheaper because they are about to go bad. Over all the store gets a 3/5. I would still shop there. read more

I went in here to exchange a $5 bill for 5 ones because the water mill in the parking lot doesn't accept 5's which I did not know. The older short haired lady was beyond rude to me when I asked about change and said, "well we don't usually do that let me see if I even have enough in this drawer" with so much attitude. I find Grocery Outlet to have a good variety of things but it changes week to week, somewhat like Big Lots but for groceries. This time, I was looking for some Nong Shim ramen that I found at the Manteca location. This one is just off Tracy Blvd.--and the entrance to the parking lot isn't easy to see in the dark, just past the building. Inside, the store is easy to navigate with personal care items close to the entrance and snacks all the way to the other end of the store. It's practically the same setup as the Manteca store. I found the ramen exactly where I expected it, which was a plus, and they had some pistachios near the cash registers--the same brand as Big Lots has. I generally like the prices, even though the discounts are sometimes not as great as they claim. I almost never shop Save Mart, so I don't see the pumped up prices that they use to accentuate the discounts. This time, the ramen 4 packs were $1.99 instead of the $4.99 that I would see at Safeway or even at the Korean stores in Sunnyvale, if they were selling this certain kind. That is a deal. The cashier was friendly and the card reader worked fine, though they don't have the chip readers yet. read more

I love going Grocery outlet to shop and I always find bargain items. Today right after I left the store I needed to return an item and I was on my lunch break didn't have much time. When I saw the line at the register I knew I was going to be late to work. Then I saw this sweet girl named Kayla smiling at me and asked if I needed help who I found out later she was the manager was very helpful. We used to shop here a lot before we got a store in Manteca. They always had good stock, friendly employees, etc. We haven't been here in a long time, but today we stopped in while we were running errands in Tracy. They were low on stock on things we would always buy. My husband went to use the restroom and was met with a rude attitude from an employee who told him it was closed and did he not see the barrier. There was no barrier. The employee put up the barrier after my husband started to walk away. We think that the management has changed for the worse here. We won't be back. read more

I love this store! It's a fun bargain hunt, but they do carry some things regularly. They have great prices on gourmet cheeses, coffee, and I love their organics/healthy isle. Rick and Spring are the mom and pop owners, and I really like supporting their store. They also get unique items from time to time, and that's why you need to drop by frequently. I haven't been to a lot of Grocery Outlet locations but this one is a-ok. The store appears to be older and is dark- not much natural light. I go for the produce specifically the bananas that have been $1.49/bag for awhile. I have also purchased some canned goods- check the expiration dates. I recycle my cans/bottles in the back lot and bring the slip into the store for cash or to pay for my groceries. There are some great prices on wine and other items. I recommend swinging in to check it out. The cashiers are alright- not overly friendly but not rude either. Nobody returns their carts to the corral- wth? lazy lazy lazy! read more

A Grocery Outlet is a Grocery Outlet. You can find deals on certain canned food items, or sometimes they'll have perishable items that the manufacter had to unload. This location has a small but decent wine department with interesting no-name brands to experiment with. (And some bad wine.) Bennie is supposed to be there "wine expert", but that is in low-key Tracy. He'll tell you "yeah, people like x", or "I've heard good things about "y"; he won't tell you there is too much tanin in the pinot! I like him. He's a good man. If you're adventurous... they often carry many wine choices for under $5, from small and foreign wineries. read more
