We hired Mary's Touch Moving to pack up two large PODS that we needed to move from Ocean View, DE to Concord, NC. We weren't there to oversee the packing and weren't totally sure what to expect. The crew finished packing up the PODS more thank two hours sooner than we anticipated (literally saving us hundreds of dollars). Our things were in storage for over a month and the PODS were just delivered and unloaded. I need to give credit where it's due. The PODS were packed SO well! Everything was wrapped and padded perfectly and nothing broke (even the fragile things that were barely unbroken when they were loaded). I am honestly so impressed. We have moved numerous times and this was our best experience with a moving company. read more

In March, I needed help to go through my Uncle's home after he passed away. Mary was referred to me by a local realtor and we were able to meet to go through the house. The house was very cluttered and I needed help knowing what should be thrown away, given away and what items had value that we should sell. Mary seemed very knowledgeable and was able to get me on her calendar. In the coming days/weeks Mary and her team got the house cleaned up, items hauled and given away and more valuable items taken to sell at her store or at auction. All was going as planned. My issues started when after multiple requests for a final inventory of items being consigned or auctioned it was never provided. Mary doesn't return e-mails for updates. When I am able to get updates I am told she is coordinating with the auction house only to have the date promised come and go. This story has occurred four times, as far as I know there has been no progress. Mary's store is hardly ever open at convenient times to check-in. The items Mary has of ours are not super valuable but do have some value but more importantly don't seem to be handled with respect. These were items of a family member who passed. At this point I have no idea what has been sold, I doubt anything, and can't get an update. I would never use her again and would not refer her service. read more

We just used A Woman's Touch for our in-town move and couldn't be happier with their service. They were on time and hard working, and always went the extra mile. It was raining on the day of our move and they never complained. They even took pains to make sure that they didn't track water into our house. We were recommended to use Mary's Touch movers. After contacting two other movers, we used Mary to move us locally from a large house and two storage units to a new house. Mary and her crew were on the job for 12 hours, working all the time. They did not even take a lunch break, even though we urged them to do so. Mary is a very efficient and professional boss. The movers were all strong and fast and friendly and considerate. They even returned a couple of days later to rearrange some boxes from the first floor to the second. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that they broke an antique marble dresser top and a mirror. Mary was most apologetic, refunded me some money and is having the piece mended. I doubt this situation will happen again by this crew. And I would also add that many fragile pieces arrived in perfect condition. I highly recommend them. read more

I've moved in the past and had bad experiences. Whether it be broken furniture after the move or trouble communicating to the movers the placement of the furniture after the move. I chose a woman's touch after some research and seeing they had the best rates available. And I am impressed. We had furniture in a storage unit as well as our town home to move into our new house. These people came to our storage unit and packed everything up and came to our townhouse to move all of that furniture. Not only did they complete the move VERY quickly, but they wrapped and packed our furniture with more care than I would have done myself. Also, despite the rain and mud outside; they left no trace that they were even inside our house after the move. You cannot go wrong by this group of people for your next move. They really took the stress out of moving. read more

We just finished up our move with Mary Nicholson and her crew. They packed us up (about four hours) and moved us as well (another 11 hours). They were very professional from start to finish.
