My favorite place ever, I craved it almost every day while I was pregnant and that hasn't changed even after having my baby. The owner and his wife are the absolute sweetest people ever! I cannot give them enough stars and can't say enough good things about them. I highly highly recommend them, they're open really late for those midnight cravings or during our fasting month of Ramadan, the restaurant is beautifully welcoming, you almost feel like you're walking into someone's home. I love that they accommodate my daughters dairy allergy and swap what they can out with coconut cream/ milk. The saag paneer is so delicious I love everything on this menu. The inside of this restaurant was so cozy and nice. I believe we were helped by the owner of the restaurant who was such a sweet guy and made us feel like guests at his home. He constantly asked how we were doing and offered us more rice when he saw we ran out. Food was delicious as well, we got a chicken tikka masala, coconut curry chicken AND YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY TRY THEIR GARLIC CHEESE NAAN. 10/10 experience, will definitely be coming back! I really wish my experience here had been better, but it was disappointing from the moment I arrived. The area outside the restaurant didn't feel welcoming -- there was a dumpster nearby, and I noticed what looked like mice jumping around it, which immediately made me uneasy before even walking in. Inside, the dining area didn't feel clean, and it seemed like only one person was handling everything, including all the cooking. There also didn't appear to be a restroom available for customers, which added to the discomfort. I ordered the shrimp curry, and the shrimp tasted off to me -- more like something that had been frozen for too long rather than fresh. Not long after eating, I started feeling sick and had to step outside. When I tried to share my concerns with the cook/owner, the conversation became tense. Instead of listening, he got defensive and raised his voice, which made the whole situation even more uncomfortable. I left feeling unwell, upset, and honestly shocked at how poorly the interaction was handled. After trying the amazing chicken tikka masala last time, I decided to pop in and try something new. When I saw the owner pulling out gorgeous looking chicken pieces on a skewer out the tandoor, I knew I had to try it. As a result, absolutely the best Chicken Tandoori I've ever had. The owner told me that he has his own secret recipe and does not deviate from it. The chicken came out juicy with an unbelievable char, color and taste from the marinade. Each bite of the chicken was full of flavor and super special. The chicken was served on the bed of Indian rice, which absorbed some of the marinade by the time I got home. That buttery rice with a hint of savory flavor notes from the tandoori chicken, was a perfect side, as it worked in harmony with the intense delicious flavor of the chicken itself. As I finished eating it, it left me craving more and that's always a good sign. While I took my order to go, I did contemplate on just eating there. The spot itself is small with around 6 tables, but is very cozy and very welcoming. All the tables were clean, the air circulation was proper and the wall art was on point. Absolutely amazing Indian food! Every dish was packed with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the garlic naan was fresh and soft, and it was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. Masala 2 is a little homey Indian restaurant featuring a large menu with a lot of the main staples and their variations. It just opened up a couple months ago as of this writing. I wasn't expecting too much but I was definitely impressed. The inside is quaint with a few tables with an open kitchen view. It seems like a suitable joint for takeout especially. I did a take out order recently and the experience was easy; I had ordered online via Yelp/GrubHub. The gentleman was friendly and answered a question I had with kindness. The order was on time as noted, and everything was packed up nicely. They have a shared parking lot with other businesses and the parking lot has a good amount of spaces, otherwise there is also street parking available. The menu is quite large with a bit of everything: appetizers, soups and salads, various entrees (chicken, lamb, seafood, vegetables), and desserts and beverages. A lot of the entrees come with rice and most items have a choice of spice level to choose. Portions are good and most items can be shared I feel. Chicken Tikka - Boneless white meat marinated with herbs and spices. I did a medium level of spice which was fine and had a slight little kick. Chicken was tender and the rice it came with was fine. Chicken Saag - Cooked with spinach and herbs. The saag was very flavorful and it was very herbaceous and included tomatoes and green bell pepper. I was able to taste some ginger as well which is a typical component in saags. The medium level was good for me. Garlic Naan - Four pieces. Naan topped with garlic, cilantro. Prices are great and portions are generous. The hours here so far are M-Sun from 3:00pm to 3:00am. So a very late lunch, early dinner, dinner and late night eats is what this is. My husband and I have been looking for a local Indian restaurant and we were lucky enough to find this gem. We were greeted by the wonderful owner Abdul who was so attentive and really kind. The ambiance was your cozy, mom/pop shop vibes. Because we arrived right after opening, we were the only customers there along with the owner. We were able to exchange conversation while enjoying the food. It felt like our uncle was feeding us in his home. We were so amazed by the food, it was the best we've had. I'm hyping up this place because it is fantastic and I worry that it suffers from its poor location, at the end of an oddly situated shopping strip off of Burbank and Reseda in Tarzana (where Numero Uno Pizza used to be). Every time we've gone to this place, no one is eating inside, but it has become our favorite local Indian restaurant. The owner/cook is so nice! Our go-to dishes are the chicken makhni and chicken curry. The samosas are also very good. The inside of the restaurant is very small, but when we're the only ones in there, it feels like we are having a private dinner! Although I truly am hoping for the day we go in there and see other people eating in there. There is ample parking in the attached lot and they appear to have super late night hours if the craving ever hits. read more

To all Muslim customers: this is a HALAL food joint. You are going to love this spot. It's open from 2PM-1AM everyday as of the time of this review. The food is so tasty and fresh I've come multiple days at a time. The portions of orders I had have been enough for lunch and dinner at a very reasonable price. This is a pretty convenient takeout spot that just opened up recently and I am already in love with the location and convenience of it being right next to a gas station. You have full view of the kitchen and seeing the owner work his magic of preparing and cooking up some fine meals. The owner has got their own take on classic dishes that ensures high quality tastes no matter how far you are taking the food home. I recommend checking out the naan orders too because this is one of the few places where the naan is focused more on the soft side without being too thin; I don't like crunchy/hard naan personally. My orders have so far taken 10 minutes or less and the inside is quite cozy although small (but that's part of the charm of the place). Chicken Tikka Masala is the tastiest I've had in years. Very savoury, not sweet. The "mild" still is a bit spicy- equal to adding some black pepper. Garlic Naan is ordinary. Soft, thin, and dense like frozen naan. Put it in the air fryer a few minutes to crisp it up. read more
