I had the food delivered so I don't have anything to say regarding the service or ambiance. What I can tell you is the food was so good. I got my go to white girl Murgh Makhani aka Butter Chicken, it was some of the best I've had in long time. Creamy, not too sweet, lots of chicken. I also had the Sag Paneer, that was good also. Both entrees came with rice, which nowadays they usually don't. I ordered their Paratha, mint chutney- which I love and their Raita. It was a wonderful dinner/ next day lunch. I moved away 6 months ago - to come back and visit and be so delighted to see how they have beautifully remodeled and created a truly lovely dining ambiance. The food is still the absolute best Indian food you can find in LA which incredible Tofu subs for Paneer in their dishes. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options - its a go to for everyone. But this time the samosas had lint all over it which was disgusting all 4 of those had pieces of lint/ tiny hairs not sure if they dropped it or it was from a napkin but regardless it was disgusting to eat. We were craving Indian food and found this place on Yelp. Street parking is easy around the restaurant. The owner was very friendly. It wasn't crowded, so it was easy to get a table. It seems like they do a lot of to-go business. We ordered the chicken tikka-masala and the chicken korma. You can choose your spice level. I mixed the korma and masala sauces together, which I know is unconventional, but the creamy nuttiness of the korma went really well with the sweet tomato tiki-masala. Yummm! They were also tasty separately, especially the tikka-masala, which I would dry OME back for. We also ordered the garlic naan which was okay. The naan was a little dry and there wasn't enough garlic incorporated in it. Although we were the only customers in the restaurant, we had to wait a lot. It took a while to get our food, but at least we knew it was freshly made. But, after we got our food, and had finished eating, it took a long time before anyone came to check on us. We finally were able to get a box for our leftovers, but then no one could be found to get the check and again to pay the bill. Even though the owner and server were very friendly and welcoming, they were socializing in the next room not realizing we were ready to box up, pay and leave. The greeters and host always offers me a drink which I think is so cool! I don't come for the drink though. I come for the food! And Indian food is one of those foods you can grab to-go and it heats up perfectly again at home. The chef at this restaurant is a master with their blend of spices. Maybe I don't have a pallet for Indian spices but whatever they are doing is some next-level stuff. The lamb curry is sooo soft and it is the perfect consistency. Perfect for throwing on top of your rice and then using the naan bread to soak up the remaining curry. I must mention though that if you are not okay with spicy-ness to ask them to tone down their tandoori. I am pretty good with spicyness and even for me the tanodori was a little spicy. The tofu masala was delicious, seriously the best I've tasted along with the aloo parata. Apart from the fact that their food tastes incredible, it is actually affordable. I love Indian food, but I don't order it too often because it can get pricey, since they usually sell every item separately. Well, this is the first place I find that includes rice with their main entrée, which makes it more affordable. I usually spend around $28 for a dish with a side of rice and naan, but my total this time was only around $22 (tax included).
