Kadai Paneer, veggie samosas, and Bombay soup

Kadai Paneer, Lamb Rogan Josh, chicken Tikka, naan, Bombay soup, and veggie samosas. Everything was delicious. This spot is easy to miss but if you don't try it, you're missing out!

Hands down the best Garlic Naan I've ever tasted in my whole life. It's very rare now for me to come on Yelp to give such high praise but Masala deserves high flying colors for their Chicken Tikka Masala-Garlic Naan combo! Do yourself a favor, get up from your Covid depression and boring daily munchies from your fridge and order some Masala greatness to fill your tummy! I will certainly go back for more.. now thinking maybe once a week!

We were a little hesitant when we got there as the location was a little sus, and there were not a lot of people dining. I'm so glad we trusted Yelp as we had a great night. It was authentic and the food was delicious. Ingredients were super fresh and unbelievable flavors. All the below dishes did not disappoint. Vegetable Samosa Chicken Tikki Masala Chicken Vindalu Shrimp Curry Garlic and regular nan We'll be back!

We stopped in right after they opened today. Both the Paneer Tikka Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala were delicious along with Butter Naan and Garlic Chili Naan. The server was very nice. Reasonable prices. We will visit again.

Look how much peppercorn is in this sweet corn soup

Update: 10-6-2020 I had ordered the sweet corn soup and paneer tikka masala via DoorDash. I was really excited about the "SWEET" corn soup, but I'm totally disappointed. Let's just say I couldn't really taste the soup because the immense amount of peppercorn present. The description said lightly spiced; this was heavily spiced. When I couldn't eat it anymore, and when I went to eat the paneer tikka masala, I couldn't enjoy it since the peppercorn taste was still burning my mouth up. Don't get me wrong, I usually order from Masala and they are great, but idk this time was just a thumbs down for me.

Chana Saag with Plain Basmati Rice

Small business that can definitely be overlooked but such great food, service, and portions! Came on a Wednesday night with two friends around 6:30pm. We were seated promptly! Food: I ordered from the vegetarian main courses section of the menu and the from the rice section of the menu. The chana saag (chickpeas with spinach in a creamy spiced sauce) and a side of basmati rice. The pot of chana saag didn't seem that big but man was it filling! I couldn't even eat the whole thing. The basmati rice was plain which helped balance out the spices in the main entree. The only thing I would say is that the entrees should come with at least rice instead of having to order it separately. Service: food was cooked quickly and the staff were attentive / friendly . Tips: you can indicate if you want your dish less / more spicy. Parking is limited so if you come with a group try to carpool!

Although I have very little experience with Indian Cuisine, I enjoyed this take out. The restaurant was very clean & cozy. The attendant was extremely nice & cordial. I was pleasantly surprised when he called me to say my food was ready. It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was literally empty, I'm guessing the word hasn't gotten out that this is a pretty descent restaurant to sit down and eat in. My food was a tad bit spicy but since it was Indian food, that was to be expected. I particularly loved the curry shrimp although it was different from what I anticipated, I thought it would be like Caribbean curry shrimp, although it wasn't I still enjoyed it. I would definitely make a visit in the future and maybe even eat in.

Amazing. I ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan and it was phenomenal! This is one of my go to places whenever I want to order Indian food. My order did come with rice and the portions are really great for the price you're paying, I would eat some the day I ordered and still have some left over to eat for the next day. The butter chicken is thick and creamy, has a good spice (I love spicy foods) and just good spices in general it's super delicious, if you're wondering on what to order but not familiar with Indian food you can never go wrong with butter chicken!

Writing this review for those who like my boyfriend, can't try a new place without checking Yelp lol We ordered takeout from Masala today, after having seen it on the ride home the other day. We love Indian food, so we were excited to try it, Yelp reviews or not haha. It's hard to find good options that deliver, especially when you're vegetarian so we're pretty happy with them being so close. I did not go pick up, so I can't speak for the place/decor. The food we ordered was good and tasted fresh. The price is comparable to other local Indian restaurants, but the portions are definitely smaller. We usually have enough for leftovers when we order from other places. My only complaint is that the entrees don't include rice, and the rice portion you get if you decide to order rice, is much smaller than I expected. Not such a big deal for me, but may be for others. Besides that, we were happy with everything we ordered and will definitely continue ordering from them. We tried: Veg Samosas Chana Saag Paneer Tikka Masala Garlic Naan Not sure how new this establishment is, but we hope business goes well so we can continue to have this great option close to home.

I have been going to India Palace since it first opened and in general all my dine in experiences have been great. The food is absolutely fantastic and the service is usually good. Sadly, my most recent experience ran contrary to all my previous ones. A few days ago, I arrived at India Palace late at night with a friend. As soon as I entered I saw two gigantic parties, about 15-20 men at two separate sections of the restaurant. They were loud and rowdy. I've hung out in enough bars to know that even with rowdiness, you can still have a good time. The problem was, the longer we were there, the party got louder and more profane. I could only make out about half of what they said, but what I could understand was absolutely repulsive and it clearly bothered other tables. The two waiters who were taking care of all the tables were overwhelmed, and it was clear they were not comfortable with the behavior of these parties. They did their best to keep them happy, but it was a very uncomfortable situation overall. When my friend went to the restroom, a group of these guys were hanging out outside the rest room and made it a point not to get out of her way, making it extremely uncomfortable for her when she tried to get past them. The staff was very apologetic to us, and the even made sure to give us a discount on our bill to make up for the trouble. I do not blame them at all. They were in an impossible situation. My recommendation is this: you should absolutely visit this restaurant, but if you go in and see a small army of patrons being loud and rowdy, turn around and come back another time.

The waiter made several mistakes and the cook had a hard time keeping up in an empty restaurant. Got a kick out of the paper plates for certain items and plastic cups. They also have real plates and utensils. I'm not sure what the logic is. There's a lot to fix here. This used to be a good spot but now I've got to take it off my list. Good luck and hope you take the time to improve everything. Please note that a 20% gratuity is automatically added and is not disclosed on the menu as well.

Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. We checked the menu and price before we got there and made our orders through phone. The place was a delight to the eyes with so many Indian savories and sweets stacked. The shop is run by a sweet elderly couple and they seemed very courteous. The reason I rate this place a star less is because the samosas' price was little higher than what was given online and when enquired, were told that there is mismatch between what we saw online and they will work on fixing it. Nevertheless, we ordered 4 samosas, a bakora chaat and a pheni. The taste was so good and we will definitely be getting there often in future, to try the other items.

Saoji is a fiery, deeply spiced, mostly non-vegetarian cuisine said to have originated with the…read moreHalba Koshti weaver community of Madhya Pradesh. When the community migrated to Nagpur in 1877, their food followed -- spreading through the tradesfolk and mill workers who embraced its bold flavors. Today, Saoji is considered the signature cuisine of Nagpur: intensely spiced, unapologetically hot, and built around powerful, roasted masalas. Tonight we ate at Nagpuri Saoji in Voorhees (they also have a location in Iselin), and these two spots are reportedly the only places in the U.S. where you can experience this cuisine in its full, blazing glory. To Start We began with sabudana vada -- the classic Maharashtrian fritter made from tapioca pearls, mashed potatoes, peanuts, and spices. Served piping hot and impossibly crisp outside with a tender interior, they came with two chutneys and were absolutely sublime. Alongside that was goat sukka, a dry-style mutton preparation associated with the Mangalore and Udupi regions, with spice influences tracing back to Goa and even Arab and Turkish traders. Coriander, fennel, cumin, black peppercorns, and fenugreek give it depth and warmth. It was bold, savory, and incredibly flavorful. The Curries I ordered chicken kala masala curry, and it was deeply earthy, nutty, and robustly savory. "Kala" means "black" in Marathi -- referring both to the color and to the roasted spice blend itself. Cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, stone flower, coconut, sesame seeds, and chillies are roasted and ground into a dark, complex masala that lingers beautifully on the palate. We also ordered Goat Handi, with tender meat in a velvety, aromatic gravy, and a Malwani goat curry, made with Malvani masala from the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra -- a spice blend that balances heat with coastal warmth and depth. Rice, plain naan, and indulgent Amul cheese naan rounded out the meal. Dessert We finished with Sitafal Rasmalai (custard apple-infused rasmalai) and Jamun Rabdi -- both creamy, fragrant, and perfect against the lingering spice. A Few Notes Like much traditional Asian cooking, the meat dishes are cooked on the bone -- so eat mindfully. And if you request "hot," they mean hot. This is not toned-down spice; this is the real deal. I was thrilled to try dishes from India that I've never made before. Saoji cuisine is bold, unapologetic, and absolutely delicious -- and I'll definitely be adding some of these flavors to my home repertoire. If you have the opportunity to try this cuisine -- do it.

I know it's popular for the saoji chicken but being a vegetarian I had to stick to their veggie options. I visited this place for dinner and they were out of a lot of things. I got the shegaon kachori, Misaal Pav, Tarri Poha and Sol kadhi. Shegaon kachori was the best option amongst the lot. It was super crispy and the filling was nice as well. Tarri Poha was a let down. The tarri tasted weird so it ruined the entire dish. Same tarri was present in the misaal too, so this dish was ruined too. Sol kadhi was average. The service was fast and the ambience is okay-ish. Honestly, would not recommend this place for their vegetarian options!
