This gentleman was beyond wonderful. He was friendly and made ordering easy. One of the people in our group could only eat mild and the server advised that he would be certain to have extra raita for him in case he had any issues with the mild heat level. He advised that rice was free and that it would be brought over in a small container so that it doesn't become cold and if we needed more, we could just let them know and they would bring more right over. This demonstrates that he cares about how the food is served. For each dish we were asked which spice level we wanted. During the meal we were checked on to see if we needed more rice, if we were enjoying our meal or if there was anything else, we needed. Papadum -Served immediately to enjoy while browsing the extensive menu. Vegetarian Platter -Excellent. Crispy and not greasy. Each item had its own flavor profile so you did not feel you were eating more of the same. Shrimp Dum Biryani - Ordered mild. Large tail on shrimp. Well-seasoned rice. * watch for pieces of clove Hakka Noodles (Veg) - Ordered mild. Perfectly done noodles, flavorful and more than enough vegetables. Provided with enough of the sauces to mix to allow for customization of how sweet/hot you want them. Saag Paneer - Ordered mild. Nicely done. Creamy as it should be. Daal Makhani - Ordered medium. This dish was beyond fantastic. The level of creaminess made this dish a table favorite. Chicken Malai Kabob - Ordered extra hot. Came out sizzling with a fragrant aroma. Nicely charred bit from the tandoor and yet tender inside. Salad - 2 of the items we ordered came with a salad it was fresh and crisp. Garlic Naan - Plenty of garlic You could tell there was a sense of pride in what this team does. It was reflected in the top-notch service, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The food is excellent, and I would not hesitate to go for dinner again. My father has only had Indian food once before. He is a picky eater and yet he is already plotting his next visit. My mother who declared herself full kept reaching in to grab additional bites because it was so good. That is a rare occurrence because when my mother puts her fork down, she is done, in this case she just couldn't resist more. I really did want to love this place especially since it is only 15 minutes from both my house and my work and I want to support local businesses and I love Indian food. Went there today for the lunch buffet. Service was very attentive. We were served fresh naan. I saw in a previous review that their buffet did not have samosa. Apparently they corrected that situation. The samosa had so much potential. They were not at all greasy but they completely lacked flavor. Moving on to the other items there was a good variety of choices. Sadly, great potential but not much spice. The tandoori chicken was dry and bland. They brought out fresh, hot chicken biryani but that also was lacking in spice. I am used to having raita and rice to cool my burning palate. Neither was necessary. The other thing I noticed was that there was a lack of condiment choices. Onion chutney and tamarind are two of my favorites but they were not on the buffet. When I asked the waiter, he did bring out the onion but at that point I did not want to bother him again about the tamarind. Perhaps we will go back again in a few months but, for now, we will drive the extra 10 minutes to Aman. So sorry. read more

Ordered delivery, our first try of Masala Zone last night. Followed the online order with a call to the restaurant to pay and the owner couldn't have been sweeter or more customer experience oriented. He thanked me for the business and offered a warm welcome for a future dine-in experience - Wonderful first impression even before food arrived. Food arrived a few minutes beyond the Internet stated delivery window, but it was well worth the wait! (Note: While hungry, we weren't upset by nor was the delay major - just trying to offer something critical to express a fair assessment in otherwise glowing review.) We had vegetable samosas (delicious and perfectly cooked - yet surprisingly a little extra spicy), aloo gobi, malai kofta, lamb seekh khabob and naan. Everything was excellent! While I'm not normally much of a lamb eater, my partner told me to try his and wow! He was right - tender, well seasoned and just plain delicious. All portions were generous and the delivery came well packaged to keep food warm and keep sauces and chutneys from spilling. Great job Masala Zone team! Looking forward to a future visit. read more

I never write reviews but I can say that they have the best Indian in the area. The flavors are fantastic and they do the proper amount of spice. I created a yelp account just to post this review. I work just down the road from Masala Zone, and one night a few months ago my boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner there. We have been eating there every Thursday night since then! I cannot get enough of their delicious and perfectly cooked food, and they frequently offer free treats like a glass of wine or mango lassi. The staff members are incredibly generous and friendly, and always make us feel welcome. Masala Zone is perfect for a family dinner, a date night, or even a solo meal. There is plenty of space in the restaurant, the lighting/ambiance is perfect for having a relaxing evening, and the service is very quick. I went to this restaurant for the first time with my family this past weekend. The service was excellent, our waiter Francis was incredibly attentive and helpful, and was very personable. The food served at the buffet was very tasty, and even impressed my parents who are very picky eaters, especially of Indian food (we are Indian). My parents will definitely return again as they live in Horsham and especially enjoyed the various South Indian options included in the buffet. Overall, our dining experience at Masala Zone exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back again. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious Indian food in Horsham. this place made me fall in love with indian food all over again. the appetizers like the vegetable samosas and naan tasted incredible. the tandoori Barbecue was so generously portioned and full of chicken tikki Masala, tandoori chicken, lamb kabobs and tasty shrimp. This now my "go to" Indian Restaurant; I have tried all the local ones; this is by far the best. The service is excellent and the manager comes around to make sure everything is to your liking and that the "heat" level is as you like it ( they rate the level from one to ten). I find the food is well prepared, fresh and tasty. They offer a complimentary glass of wine (otherwise, BYOB). We enjoyed a wonderful homemade frozen confection prepared in orange skin and drizzled with chocolate sauce, and served with fresh whipped cream and strawberry. Ate here for the first time tonight, and we couldn't be more satisfied. The food was wonderful,servings large enough we took a bag home, the service was very attentive, the staff was so nice, and the pricing is more than reasonable. We started with a cauliflower appetizer in a creamy tomato sauce with just enough spice to wake up your palette. My wife had chicken Tika masala, which was among the best she'd ever had. I had a tandoori style chicken dish which was great and we shared garlic and sesame onion Naan. All was extremely enjoyable and so filling. Well, I have eaten lunch here twice, didn't learn my lesson the first time and thought it was just an off day for them but the food on both occasions was identical. Every day must be an off day it appears. Lunch service is supposed to start at 11:00 arrived to eat at 11:30 had to wait while they set up (10 minutes) no problem had to wait another 10 minutes for rice! not a good start! All the food on the buffet was cold which tells me that this was food from the day before and it tasted like it! When I explained my dissatisfaction with the small sampling of each dish his response was "oh" no really that's all he said! So I paid my fee to eat and now I'm pissed and writing a review. read more

This is my first Indian food experience, and I thought it was delicious. So I can't comment much on the taste or execution of the food. I ordered my dishes hot and the kids mild, and it worked out well. Everyone was happy. We got the saag paneer and this was fantastic. Very spicy and flavorful. The lamb vindaloo was excellent, I would definitely get this again. For the kids we got the chicken kabob and they were quite happy with that and a side of rice. We ordered the plain naan and buttered naan, and really yum. The deserts were delicious. There were a few things that brought my review down and won't make this a regular place for us for the price. The salad and sides of rice we received were way too small. I would have loved more rice with the meal, but ended up not having enough for 2 adults and 2 kids with 3 entrees that made for 3 sides of rice. Also for the price of the naan, which was absolutely delicious, it really should be more in the order. Each order only had 2 slices, so all in all for $6, each person only got one slice of naan. This was the only disappointing part of the meal. I will try eating in sometime in the future since I work near there. The food was really amazing, and I would like to go again sometime. read more

Very good place. We go to Indian restaurants regularly, first time for this one, and I'm glad we tried it. Ordered takeout/delivery so no comments about inside the restaurant. We got chicken tandoori, lamb shahi korma, malai kofta, achar, and garlic naan. The delivery came within their estimated time, and everything that was supposed to be hot still was. Very flavorful, usually I order stuff very hot/ spicy but since we were with others it was all medium. No complaints here. Will try again some time and order it hot+. read more

Not authentic at all!! I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and I cook Indian food so I know what Indian food tastes like. The tomato based dishes taste like they use spaghetti sauce. Malai kofta was bright yellow when it should be dark yellowish brown. The naan was a regular pita bread. This place is new and they are already skimping on the rich, authentic ingredients that Indian food needs! Very disappointing. The host and staff were very nice but you can tell they don't know what they are doing. They advertise they deliver but your order has to be a $50 minimum! That's outrageous!! I really hope they spend more money on ingredients. I won't be ordering from there again. read more
