We hosted our daughter's baptism lunch at this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We contracted and paid for a buffet for 100 people, but only about 75 guests actually attended, and there was still not enough food for everyone. Throughout the event, multiple dishes repeatedly ran out while guests were in line. When items were refilled, they were often brought out in very small quantities (around 10 pieces at a time), so food would immediately run out again. Our family had to repeatedly ask staff to refill basic items like rice and naan, and eventually we were told that they were done cooking, even though we were still within the contracted buffet service time and many of our guests had not eaten. Several family members ended up leaving without getting food, which was embarrassing as the hosts. To make matters worse, staff began cleaning up the room before our contracted end time. Chairs were being stacked and the vacuum was running while our guests were still there. When we asked if they could stop since we still had the room reserved, we were told they do this "to make their lives easier," which was very unprofessional. We also ordered a custom cake through the restaurant. The cake looked nothing like the design we requested, and it was clearly not large enough to serve the 100 people it was ordered for. We tried to work with management to resolve the situation, but the manager was not on site during the event, and communication afterward required multiple follow-ups on our end about the issues and discrepancies in service. This was a very special day for our family celebrating our daughter, and it was extremely disappointing that such basic expectations for a contracted event adequate food, proper service during the reserved time, and attention to the details we paid for were not met. read more

My review is based on the take out my husband picked up. We ordered take out for dinner one night and was surprised at the decent portion size they offer. We ordered chicken tikka malsala, butter chicken and chicken tandoori and naans. When ordering naans, I think there was a misunderstanding between the restaurant and I and we ordered way too much. We asked for chicken tikka to be has spicy as it could be and there was just a mini kick and wish the food was more spicier. Ordered a large mango cake for birthday party and it was delicious. Not a morsel left for the birthday mom. The cake was light, moist and tasty with hint of mango. Definitely recommend this cake. The owners are very helpful, reliable and will work with you. I had a slice of the black forest cake and recommend that as well. No one asking or directing walk ins to a table. Sat down at a table, no one came, rang a bell, 1 worker behind counter had to go and get someone. Non friendly atmosphere, no one smiled, not what I would call hospitable. I didn't even smell food or even curry. Very interesting place, part of a hotel, I would call motel. Walked out after waiting a few minutes for directives. Luckily theres a wonderful place we go with fresh products and friendly atmosphere where we live! We've ordered delivery from here 4 times in the past week and a half... so that tells you pretty much everything you need to know. For there being SO MANY Indian restaurants in the area, we were unable to find one that wasn't disappointing. That is, until we tried Indian Grill. Amazing, flavorful food that isn't swimming in a slick of oil. It does fall on the spicier side but I certainly am not complaining. Do yourself a favor and try the palak or the korma curries. Down in North Wales, PA for work... always interested in trying the local Indian flavor. On the main road off of 276, I noticed a few Indian grocery shops... so that was a good sign. Indian Grill is a large building, looks to be an old hotel, and they have a good sized ball room and a function hall. When I came into the restaurant I was surprised to see a take out counter... ok this place does a pretty good amount of take out, as I saw several people place orders or pickup. There are tables and booths set up for customers wishing to dine in. TV with B4U blasting Bollywood music videos... not bad, but not a fancy sit and be waited upon place; in fact, I had to order at the counter. After a long days drive from Boston to here... I grabbed myself an orange Fanta from the cooler... even though I asked for a mango lassi. I started with the Samosa Plate; two very hot and fresh arrived shortly. Mint sauce was nice and the tienien was sweet and had a little punch to it. Main course of papadam, chicken tikka masala, rice and garlic naan. The papadam was warm and crisp. The tikka was thick, dark and had a nice kick to it - medium; also felt like homemade and not a jar. Dark in color, heavy on nutmeg and ginger. The chicken was precooked on a spit, tandoori style... the naan was perfect; not too thin not too thick cooked all the way through. From the exterior it looks chancy/dicey, however, they really do make some top shelf Punjabi food. It is well worth the not-so-fancy exterior. Ordered food delivery for the first time from this restaurant and I am super disappointed. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and paneer tikka masala with a naan. When ordering the dishes, the rice was an extra up charge add on of almost a dollar. When I received my meal, the size of the rice was unbelievable..the portion size is extremely small compared to the tikka masala. Am I supposed to sprinkle rice on top of my tikka masala because it's definitely not enough to use any other way. I have attached a picture. And an up charge for the rice? Any Indian restaurant that I have ordered from provides the rice complimentary with the tikka masala meal. I will not order from this restaurant again. read more

Vada pav and Chole Bhature are usually what I get they do a pretty job at the quality and service. I have tried their Dabeli too, just missed the Bhujia but was yummy nevertheless. Decent food. You order at the counter and your order is called out when it is ready, and you go pick it up. We ordered a lot of different things because we decided to share everything. Everything tastes really delicious with the right amount of spices. I specially liked the gobi manchurian - it was very close to what we get in India. We had dabeli, pav bhaji and veg puff.. They tasted good. I particularly did not like the chole bhatura. It was way too much oily - I ended up not eating half of it because they were drowning in oil. Visited here today 06/26/2019 around 1pm. This place is pricey. We were charged for rice when it should have came with the dish. Tables and seats were dirty. Silverware on table was filthy. We gave the cashier tip money ($2 bill and a single)to put in the jar for the cook and he put in in his register as if he served us our food. There is a sign that says if you leave a review on yelp or google, you get a free drink. If we are back that way to pick up a load I will stop by to retrieve my free drink. read more

This is not a friendly place for Dashers. My order was scheduled to be picked up at 5:37 I waited 10 minutes after to ask if there was an issue with the food. The gentleman replied "this is not like fast food" I asked him if there's anything he can tell me on how long it will take and that I could not afford to wait 15 more min. I have lived in India for over 8 years, and this is the best Indian food I've eaten in the Philadelphia area. The only restaurant this good, in my experience, is in Chicago. I was here right after they reopened. I don't really recommend it unless something has drastically changed. I'm hoping to revisit it and change this review because I really REALLY wanted this place to be awesome and for me right now, it isn't. The restaurant seemed confused, like it wasn't sure whether it wanted to be bakery, a restaurant, or an empty storage facility. In terms of decor, it leaves much to be desired. There are two random wedding cakes for show in the front corner, and in the back is the restaurant portion. Everything between that is a jumbled mess. Along the wall is a strange mantle thing with some seating that doesn't really flow well. The back of the store is dessert cases, a menu, and the register. I LOVE chai, and can appreciate the skill that goes into making a good cup, so I was disappointed in seeing a vending-style powdered chai/coffee machine against a wall, unceremoniously labeled "chai" in sad, handwritten letters. They could easily charge $3.00 for a decent cup of handmade chai behind the counter! The desserts in the case didn't look very fresh, and again, were handwritten/scribbled by a 4 year old. I ordered a vegetarian panini, which took about 15 minutes to make. The woman who was making it had to consult with a man in the shop a few times during this process and I couldn't tell if she was in training or just discussing business. Anyway, it resulted in her leaving and coming back to making my lunch more times than I thought was acceptable. My panini was pretty delicious when it was finished, but by that time I had to take it to go :-( I'm going to go back when I can and give this place a second shot to see what the other 4-star reviewers saw that I didn't. read more

Have you ever had Indian street food? Masala dosa is a really famous type of street food and definitely worth trying here. (It's vegetarian so ask for some non veg apps, you die-hard carnivores). I ordered a mango mousse cake for Mother's day and everyone loved it because it wasn't overly sweet and it was decorated beautifully. You can order individual slices of cake which goes perfect with the tea selection. Obviously tea time is big in India so the Madras coffee, masala or cardamom tea is a perfect pick me up. Overall, the food, pasteries and teas are good. The service could use a little help, especially since I asked for my cake to be ready and it wasn't. That doesn't stop me though, I would still come here for a tasty inexpensive dinner and snack!! read more

When we are in the mood for some North Indian style chaat and Indo-Chinese, our first choice is to head to Hot Breads. The decor of the restaurant is nice with large windows to bring in natural light, casual seating and has WiFi if you are in a mood to linger and work while you eat. the food here is delicious, fresh, quick and plentiful! We have tried the Chole Bathura, frankie, Manchurian and various marathi burgers. We taken family and friends to this restaurant, some of which have never had Indian food, with great success. The food is generic enough for the American palette but still delicious for the desi's. And the added bonus - when you're done you can pick up a few pastries, cakes, and Indian style breads before you leave. The owner showed me pictures of some of the high end cakes they have done over the years for weddings and other occasion. While we are there, we can almost always hear children squeal and giggle as they see the cake they are going to cut later in the day! The service was good, the food was excellent and I highly recommend this place. read more
