This place is gooood! I always missed the amazing Indian places in the city, but now I don't have to travel an hour to get some. Amazing staff who is friendly and can recommend some amazing dishes. On a Friday evening, we placed a large order online using their painless online menu through toast tab. Our food was delivered to our car, curbside, just forty-five minutes later. The portion sizes were fair, not too large, but were QUICKLY erased by the amazing flavors. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Rogan Josh, Yellow Curry Chicken, Chana Masala, Vegetable Biryani, and some complimentary Gulab Jamun! Everything was absolutely delicious. I feel extremely generous giving them 3 stars. Typically I'm extremely harsh with star ratings, but as someone who is very familiar with small business ethics, I know how hard it is to get your place up and running. This being said, I'll probably be back within a few months after they're settled. I first noticed we walked in to only 2 other tables filled on a Saturday night at 6. Not a good sign, but they have been literally open a week. The manager/owner/chef(?) was overly friendly and was really eager to hear feedback on his food. Which I did give feedback and he seemed appreciative for. The dishes do not include rice. This is the first time EVER i've been to an Indian place that didn't include rice. If i'm paying $15 per dish, I would hope it would include rice. It's absurd it doesn't. I hope they fix that. The portion size should also be adjusted, especially since indian food is meant for sharing. The food was alright, definitely not mild but luckily I enjoy spicy food. The people at my table do not. We ordered a lamb dish that took 35 minutes to make. We did agree we would wait the time, the owner gave us a warning. Unfortunately it came out almost exactly like our Lamb Korma did. Not sure what the difference except the price and time is. TL;DR everything was al a carte and didn't include rice. Food was only ok and pricy. Would try again in a few months. read more

I normally don't veer away from Tiffin Indian cuisine. I am ashamed by my infidelity. I was enticed by the high reviews, 5$ dollar off coupon on Grubhub and intense Indian food cravings. I ordered delivery. Garlic naan, medium spice chicken tikka masala, and gulab jamun. Pros: timely delivery, food was hot, large generous serving of yummy naan, hot yummy gulab jamun. Cons: the tikka masala was rather flavorless and the medium spice had no spice at all. Surprisingly bland for any dish let alone Indian! The portion was smaller than expected. Hardly any rice and not much of the curry. Confusing since I was given so much naan. The naan and gulab jamun couldn't save the experience. The reason for only two stars is because I crave Indian for the flavorful spicy curry and this curry was beyond disappointing. I won't be trying it again. read more

Portions were decent, the order came on time, and they were the only Indian restaurant in my area that delivered. My wife liked the gulab jamun. For that, they earned 2 stars. Otherwise this was just not good Indian food, I'm sorry. Are these other reviews for the same restaurant? Did something go wrong with my particular order? We ordered several dishes (gobi manchurian, daal makhani, shrimp tikka masala). All were watery and bland, even though I ordered medium-mild spice. The gobi manchurian was in a wet, flavorless slop. I actually had to add more salt and pepper to my dishes to get them to par. For reference: I am a white guy and this is an Indian restaurant. That is not normal. Even the naan just tasted like bland onion bread. For a minute, I actually worried that I had contracted Covid and was losing my sense of taste and smell. I ate a slice of jalapeno to be sure it wasn't me. It wasn't. If you live in the delivery range on this restaurant you would be better served just picking up an order at any of the other local Indian restaurants: Nirvana, Saffron, even Tiffin. read more

We absolutely love Masala Zone, very close to my work so end up going there with colleagues for dinner. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. Special shout out to Robert, he is fantastic, very attentive and always delivers outstanding service. He is very knowledgeable about the food and provides excellent recommendations based on any preferences you may have like vegetarian, gluten free, lactose intolerance etc There are some interesting desserts, some which may not be on the menu, make sure you ask Robert about them. They also have a very good lunch buffet, haven't tried it myself but have heard about it from my colleagues. read more

As a Chef I love spices and flavors. Being from NYC originally Ive eaten my share all the way here . Masala Zone knocks it out of the park. It really made my fathers day. First the owners and staff are amazing. I felt like I was a guest in someones house. Especially with a 2 year old with a palate. We ordered a few appetizers a few main dishes and garlic naan. Everything was to die for. I loved the Saag Paneer. I also had a Mango Lassi that my 2 year old stole from me. I was very happy to have the orange khulfi for desert. If you never had Khulfi before this is what heaven is. Masala Zone is a Chefs Dream. For those who are scared or never had Indian food this is place. Remember that the spice route ran through India. Your palate and senses will oen to a whole new world. I will say my favorite restaurant and I will be a regular. read more

We have dined here at least 4 times and i ordered large orders for parties at work. First i want to say, the party tray's that i ordered were a huge hit at my work !!! i highly recommend you put in an order like that for your next function!!! I ordered 50 samosa on both occasions, the second time around i asked to kick up the spice factor, and wow they hit them perfectly on the spot !!!spicy enough to make you sweat a little while not overpowering any of the other flavors. I also ordered a large try (fed 50) of chicken 65 which was Phenomenal !!! Again i asked to go heavier on the spices as many of my coworkers are from India, and they like some heat !!! Again the spice level was perfectly balanced so you could taste al the flavors without being overpowered by any one flavor. We stopped in midweek for some Manchurian chicken one night and curry goat. Both were incredible and extremely fresh, again with perfect spiciness. The Kheer is awesome too, they have two varieties you can ask for, one is Indian and the other is Pakistani, both are delicious and should be tried. Lastly, i'd like to write a bit about the lunch Buffet. Honestly, Masala Zone has one of the best lunch buffet's around, and it cannot be beat. They have awesome Chai unsweetened which i prefer, and incredible mango lassi. They have many chutney's to choose from and a platter of freshly cooked tandoori chicken and Seehk Kabob.....tastes much like Kofta kabob which may be one of my favorite things to eat. They also have chilli chicken, goat curry (personal fav) tikka masala, and many others to try. Everything at the buffet is super tasty and well maintained. never empty foods or food sitting for long as they are constantly making sure everything is full and fresh. The restaurant is spotless as is the entire kitchen, and the staff are outstanding and extremely attentive to anything you may need. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite to eat !!! Decided to try this place out as it had good reviews. I've been to many good India buffets and this one just didn't make the cut. There were a few things that I really enjoyed, the mango lassi, hot chai, and very flavorful goat curry. The rest of the buffet was underwhelming in my opinion. My stomach got upset during the lunch, which wasn't a pretty sight. I dont want to make a definitive statement here, because it may have been a chance occurrence. read more

Absolutely delicious! Fabulous service! My kids and I really enjoyed Masala Zone. We have limited experience with Indian food, but we're guided into some delicious choices. The service was great; very friendly and helpful. We had chicken tikki masala, kashmiri chicken, and bhindi masala (okra). My son was only half done with his meal when he started asking when we could come back. Probs were good. They recommended 2 dishes for the three of us, and since we ordered 3 we have plenty of leftovers. We shared an orange kulfi for dessert and that was a perfect ending. read more

I went here with my son for lunch yesterday. As it happened, some part of the buffet was out of order, so the buffet was unavailable. Instead, they offered to make any feasible combination of the dishes and prepare them individually. They were very apologetic, and they made a sincere attempt to "replicate" our buffet experience. The food was excellent. The items we specifically ordered (chicken vindaloo and chicken korma) were both very good. Personally, I like my vindaloo a little spicier, but I recognize that most people in Pennsylvania aren't as keen on hot spices. There were a few additional "side dishes" that I was less fond of, but that's more of a commentary on my own tastes than of the food itself; they were items that I would probably not have selected from the buffet had it been working. I can't fault them for that. But overall, I was very happy with the quality of the dishes. The ambiance was good. There were a few decorations that seemed a little out-of-place for an Indian restaurant, possibly from an earlier restaurant at the same location. We left the restaurant well-fed, having eaten way more than we should have for lunch. And the price was perfectly reasonable - I believe they shaved a few dollars off, due to the buffet issues. It is highly likely I'll visit again, this time with my wife and daughter as well. read more

I have to thank facebook for popping up an add that lead me to finding this gem. Finally, a place to get quality, delicious Indian food in the Horsham area.I am 8 years loyal to a NJ spot (Nimit Palace, if curious); because while I searched; I never found another restaurant providing food near as tasty. Now, I have a local option. I dragged my Mr. out; and we decided to order our 'usuals' in order to really compare to our favorite spot. I had a Chicken Korma with Kashmiri Naan; and he Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. We decided that the Korma was a close second place finisher, but the Butter chicken was slightly more delicious! A new favorite! The naan is much fluffier than what I am used to; but very delicious. Service was very attentive; and they really expressed genuine care for their customers. This will absolutely be one of our regular places to eat from here on out. It looks like they have a small buffet we will have to try sometime. A random suggestion; I would LOVE to see a 'tasting event', since this restaurant has the space. A event where you pay a flat fee, and try maybe 5-10 tasting size portions of different dishes; I find that I LOVE my Korma so much, that I can't give up eating it, in order to try something new. And it would be great for people new to Indian, not knowing what to order, or what things will taste like. I would absolutely pay $50/ea to have tastings like that. I remember when this place was a book store growing up. I'm really glad this is an Indian restaurant! And trust me this place is good - take my word for it since I'm actually Indian! Makes me angry when other people post about Indian food and complain about little things that don't really matter. It's really great to see variety in Horsham especially with ethnic food. The food is NOT oily which you can tend to find in frequent Indian spots. They give you a lot of high quality food when you order. I got take out and was super impressed. I share with my family: Chana saag, chicken biryani and chili paneer all at medium spice. It was true perfect medium spice and all tasted so great. I hope this place stays! read more

WOW!!! GREAT Indian Food in Horsham! I LOVE Indian food. I travel a great deal, and I eat out a lot. So I've eaten at a lot of different Indian restaurants. Masala Zone is outstanding. It has the best Indian food I have eaten at when Passage to India in Lawrenceville, NJ changed hands about 20+ years ago. I was only sorry that I was by myself, and did not get to taste a lot of things that I normally would have, had I dined with a group of friends and family. OK, so here's what I had and it was all terrific. My veggie pakoras were flavorful and (heavens be praised!) NOT greasy. The homemade onion kulcha had amazing onion flavor (sorely lacking in most restaurants) and fantastic texture with just the right amount of smokiness from the tondoor. My entrée was lamb Shahi korma (a dish I often make at home). This was worlds better than mine, and mine is pretty darn good. The lamb was melting your mouth tender, and the depth of flavor was astounding. Owner Ali is delightful, and offers a discount for meals delivered to your Horsham hotel. I truly wish I lived closer, because I would be here every week to eat my way through the menu. read more

I came in for the lunch buffet with a couple coworkers. It wasn't busy, and we were seated right away. The inside of the restaurant was very nice! I tried a few different dishes that they were offering at the buffet. The channa masala was tasty, as well as this paneer dish that I can't recall the name of. The butter chicken was good, but could stand to be a little more spicy. Usually, I prefer tikka masala, but this was not offered. The chicken biryani was good, spiced very nicely, and had nice portions of chicken on the bone in it. Complimentary naan was offered, which was great. I think that the only thing missing, that I enjoy from an Indian buffet, is an assortment of fried vegetable appetizers, such as pakora or samosas. The owner and his front house staff were very nice, and checked on us often. I'm looking forward to my next experience with them, hopefully the buffet offerings are changed up by then. read more

Read a lot of great reviews, and was excited to try them out. Alas! The food was lacking flavor, almost undermining the authenticity of the cuisine and to top it up pricey! We ordered Chicken chilli and the Garlic fried rice to go. I grew up on a healthy dose of Indo chineese cuisine. So I know the cuisine very well. The chicken chilli was just abysmal! It tasted of tomato ketchup and cornstarch, and just lacked flavor altogether. It tasted nothing like chicken chilli would. I tasted the heat in it but not flavor. Fried rice, was okay. The vegetables used in it was clearly store bought frozen cut vegetables. I could taste the defrosted water out of the beans and corn in it. And you would think for $15 you'd get a decent portion size, of an entree. nope; And not even worth it. Disappointed. Might give their lunch buffet a chance to try their other items. read more
