Mashed Burgers first caught my attention while walking in Downtown White Plains. I had never heard of this place before, but after a little research I found out it's a franchise with locations mostly in Jersey. It took a while, but I was in the area today and decided to finally check them out for lunch. As suggested by the name, Mashed Burgers is a smashed burgers spot - similar in line to a Five Guys or Shake Shack. Unlike those, the theming at Mashed is a little more eclectic - lots of bold colors with an almost urban vibe. The arcade games in the main dining area complete the look. The space isn't too large - the ordering counter take up a good amount of space but they have several tables and a stool counter setup. Smashed burgers are the star the menu, available in a couple of styles as well as in single, double, and triple. Additionally, they have several varieties of fries, Nashville hot chicken, shakes, and churros. Since it was my first time, I decided to go simple and get a single mashed burger and an order of fries. The burger was good - a single patty was just enough, though if I was hungrier I could definitely down a double. The patty had that smashed thickness and was paired with cheese, pickles, and a tasty Mac-like sauce. The fries were a generous portion, and were those crispy "psoriasis" kind that I love mmm. Service was fast - they have an efficient system and my order was ready relatively quickly. Overall, I had a good first experience at Mashed Burgers. This isn't the healthiest option on the Mamaroneck Ave strip, but they are formidable competitor to Five Guys and if the mood catches me I wouldn't be against returning. read more

So, so good!! This location just opened. They have multiple NJ locations and have the #1 burger in NJ. After reading that I knew I needed to stop in and try this place. I looked at their menu online before I went. They have burgers, fries, milkshakes, and hot fried chicken. They make their own sauce which is very tangy, unlike any other burger sauce I've tried. I ordered the single mash burger with sauce on the side. It was $7. Definitely worth the price. There are onions cooked into the burger; it also comes with cheese and pickles. I would definitely order this again. Even though it's a flattened burger, it was very meaty. It's definitely my favorite burger that I've had and I consider myself to be a burger connoisseur. There is plenty of seating inside with tables and chairs; there are also 3 video game machines where you can entertain yourself while you wait. There were a few other parties there when I was there and a few take out orders, but my burger was ready within 5 minutes. I can't wait to go back here!! Glad this place is in the area! read more

Amazing burgers!!!! Smashed so tiny, I felt like I could eat two. Sauce was awesome as well. In my opinion I thought the burgers were better than Shake Shack! Fries were okay, they were like cranial fires which aren't my favorite. I am excited to go back and try the Mac and cheese and onion rings!!!! A must try next time you are in white plains. I got chicken tender loaded mac and cheese, I asked for the sauce on the side and they forgot to put it in the bag :( I think it definitely needed the sauce, even though I didn't really want sauce on the mac and cheese, the chicken needed something extra. I am not a huge spice person and got my chicken seasoned mild tho so that might have helped too if you're into that. However the star was definitely the mac and cheese. I really enjoy a white cheddar mac and this one was really good. I think next time I'll go for just mac and cheese or maybe a chicken sandwich with a mac and cheese side. They were pretty good separately but I didn't need them put together. I did like that the chicken didn't get soggy from being with the mac and cheese though, very crispy. Just suffered from a lack of sauce. Not bad though and def will be checking out their other menu items and desserts next time (banana pudding and milkshakes ). read more

We came here for an early brunch/lunch on a Saturday (they open at 11). The first thing we noticed was the interior, which was vibrant, fun, and hip. The music was the perfect backdrop to the bright orange and yellow on the walls. It almost felt like being inside of a vintage comic book! The menu itself is quite simple: burgers and chicken sandwiches, along with a smattering of sides to choose from. Oh, and don't forget the milkshakes - they had several varieties of milkshakes, but we were too full after our burgers to try one, so that'll be for a later date. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (medium heat), and my date ordered the Mashed Burger. We shared a side of Monster Fries. The chicken sandwich was well-cooked and the breading on the chicken was dynamite. It wasn't very spicy (you can choose your spice level), so I might go with the next level of heat next time. The mashed burger was also well cooked, had those crispy bits that you expect from a smashed burger, and the fries were delicious and crispy. Service was friendly and attentive. I did take out for my first time here, which was a great experience. I ordered online and it was ready as soon as I got there, which was on time with the timeframe they gave me. I got the double mashed burger with everything on it and I got the mashed fries I think. The burger was really good, cooked really nicely and the potato bun is always a fan favor. In my opinion! They do give you a lot of fries, but I think next time I'll order an extra side of cheese for the fries. I did think it was a little salty, I didn't quite finish the fries, but I will still go back and try something else! Their milkshakes look yummy, I will definitely have to try one of those! I came here for lunch and I was really excited about it. I ordered the spicy smash burger and fries. The spicy smash burger was not very good. The taste was not memorable and the jalapeños were cold and threw off the temperature of the burger; it was as if they were put on after the burger was made. So I would not recommend this burger. When I think of a smash burger I think of everything being hot and smashed. The fries were ok but I asked for them to me hot and some were hot and some were cold so I am not sure if they put two different batches in there. Overall, I was disappointed but I'm not sure if it was an off day for them. There were alot of people eating there so I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong thing. I thought they were going to be similar to 7th street burger whose burgers are really good. They do have dessert and I might stop by to taste it. service was fine and order came relatively quickly. sauce options are incredibly limited and they only have ketchup aside from their burger or comeback sauce. we got two different burgers and an order of loaded fries and didn't like any of it. the mash sauce on both burgers and the loaded fries ruined everything for us. so sweet it was off putting, had a strong relish flavor as well. the amount of cheese sauce and mash sauce on the loaded fries is kind of a joke also, it covered like 1/3 of the fries in the order. more cheese may have saved it but the fries were super soggy anyway. the soft serve is pretty good and the churro was cold by the time i got to it so i can't comment on it accurately, i do think it's a little silly that they don't pack the items separately for to go orders tho. read more

I ordered the chicken tenders for $12.99 they were very good. I also ordered Fries and asked for cheese sauce. I thought I was receiving cheese sauce on the side. Instead it was on the fries with a pile of sautéed onions, which I am allergic to onions. Needless to say they went in the garbage. I wasted $5.98. My suggestion to the business add the cheese sauce in a separate container like you have the side sauces. The fries were all mushy. I also ordered the coleslaw which was delicious nice and creamy. So I've been to the mashed burgers in cliffside park nj and they do a decent job with the burgers, the chicken can't say the same. We visited the new location in white plains and ordered 2 medium chicken sandwiches.....when I say really really bad quality juiced up the wazoo chicken tenders. The moment I saw it, I knew it was going to be a waste of meal & money. Only if I had taken pictures but that tenders was 4 inches in heights and I'm not even including the coating.
