On the 1st visit, They serviced my Pentair heat pump unit, Yes my pool heater. They are Pentair certified techs. Chris came over the 1st time he was honest, detail- oriented and answered all my questions and more. More importantly fixed my unit and made some recommendations. The service was so good I did not hesitate to call back a few weeks later when my home A/C unit had some issues. They accommodated me on their busy schedule, and Again Chris came over and absolutely did an excellent job going over the unit fixing it, and explaining all my options. ***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*** Do not use this company unless you like being stood up and receiving no communication, even after requesting a call from the owner. Had my AC units checked out on 7/9/25 by Carr AC due to constantly running. Tech came out right away and looked at the units/serviced them. He stated we should sign up for the maintenance plan because we get a discount on the service call on 7/9/25 and two additional maintenance checks up throughout the year. Also scheduled a duct test through Carr AC prior to the call on 7/9/25. While scheduling the duct test they also setup a combustion test (which requires Duke energy to be present) at the same time due to having natural gas at the house. Appt was set for 7/25/25 between 11 and 1. I had to rearrange my work schedule to be present for the duct test. On 7/25/25 1 pm came around and no call no show from Carr AC. I called and spoke to Carr AC, Regina stated the tech was held up at the job before mine and didn't know when it was going to be finished. I told her I understood that things come up but why didn't I receive a call notifying as such....no explanation. She also stated they would have to reschedule the duct test (two more weeks out was the soonest date) because they had to coordinate between their tech and Duke energy again. I told her no thanks because I didn't need another no call no show and also requested a refund on the maintenance plan I previously purchased ($618.50 including the call out). I also requested a call from the manager/owner. As of 8/5/25, still no call from the owner (Kevin Bone). I did receive a letter signed by Kevin Bone on 8/1/25 and check in the amount of $393.50 refunding the maintenance plan with $22.50 removed because this was the discount received on the service call on 7/9/25....still no call from Kevin Bone though. This company does not care about your time, they just want your money. I love small business owners and their companies just not this one....do better. I've always been extremely pleased with Carr's service. During the last visit, their technician was very knowledgeable and honest with us, which is always very important. Make sure you do your preventative checks and maintenance; otherwise, you are looking at problems with your unit during peak season. Stay away from this company. They took advantage of me after the recent hurricane by way overcharging me for service of my HVAC.

Carr A/C came to my home 3 times. The first was to perform an air duct test. This was a great experience. The tech was terrific and recommended duct repair. The second visit was for Carr to repair the air ducts and they also did a good job. However, during their time in my attic they busted 2 outlet/light switches. I asked them to replace them. They said they would bring the switches and install during the next visit. The 3rd visit was to move two air returns. These techs also did a good job. I did have a question though as they replaced a large air return with a much smaller one. I wondered if this would negatively impact my air flow. Also they did not have the light switches broken from the previous visit but said I'd be contacted to replace them. I called and left a message for the manager/owner to call me. I did not receive a call back. I then sent an email, but received no response. Several weeks later I sent an email just to advise I'd be leaving a mixed review. I then did receive a call and an email offering to replace the switches. At this point, I'll purchase the switches and then go into my attic to take care of it myself. But Carr missed an opportunity to receive a stellar review and leave a great impression. Sometimes it's the little things. Fortunately I was able to connect with Duke Energy who was able to allay my concerns about the size of the air return. read more

I used to use Carr but since the original owners sold the company I have stopped using them and will never use them again. They will not stand by the original work done and for new services, the person on the phone said they don't guarantee work. They came out to my house three times this month for the same issue and keep saying it's something new. Now over $680 later they still won't guarantee work. Not the same company. BEWARE this company is now under new ownership and does not provide the same great service that Carr AC did. They came out to give me an estimate and then charged me $48 which I was told would come off the cost of labor of doing the job. Then the receptionist called and rudely accused me of giving them "bad" payment information when in reality she simply could not read the technician's handwriting. Because I dared to complain to the owner, Kevin, he then told me I was no longer on the schedule...this is after a week with no AC; I could have called another company and had the problem fixed in that time.
