David Masrour catered our large wedding and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. Everything was delicious well beyond what we could have ever imagined, and executed perfectly. Being that most of our wedding guests were Persian, we definitely wanted to do a fully Persian menu. We both love Persian food, and that is also usually what people are excited about at a Persian wedding as well. He took the time to make a custom buffet-style menu for us depending on our preferences, and provided input on what things are usually popular based on his many years of experience. For the appetizers, he gave us some creative ideas about what items could be buffet style vs. tray-passed, which worked out perfectly. All of his foods, especially the kabob koobideh (which he BBQ'd on-site for freshness), were absolutely delicious. I've been to restaurants all over the world, and Masrour's kabob koobideh was one of the best I've ever had in my life. He really went above and beyond for us and our guests are still talking about the food weeks after the event. He also knew to pay special attention to the presentation of the food, which was also very important. In fact, one thing we learned during our wedding planning is how important it is to make sure you're hiring a "caterer" instead of a restaurant. We reached out to several Persian restaurants, but it was a very stressful process with bids all over the place, misunderstandings, and multiple people flaking and not following up as promised. After seeing Masrour's work, we've learned what a big difference there is in the quality of the set-up/presentation and staff when you hire a caterer instead of a restaurant, since this is not a restaurant's area of expertise. Masrour was contracted to provide all food (3-course plated dinner) and beverage (full bar) at my wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, which took place last weekend. I used to plan donor events/galas for a living so my standard for quality of food and service was fairly high going in. I can be quite the perfectionist. Masrour Catering (David is the owner) did not disappoint. Honestly, I echo the last reviewer who said he would give David and his team more than 5 stars, if possible. I was that impressed as well. He was incredibly professional and attentive. Not only did he make a point to check on the groom and me throughout the evening to make sure we were eating and comfortable, he did the same with my parents! His team was wonderful too. The food was plentiful, delicious AND beautifully displayed. I had multiple guests stop me and make mention of it. The beverage / bar side of a wedding is a different animal and I was concerned about how the signature drinks would turn out. Well, they were amazing too. Never a line at the bar and the drinks were delicious. They're so good that right before I walked down the aisle, I even caught David fixing my train and wishing me luck...AND our (groom and me) favorite drinks were waiting for us on a tray after we finished the ceremony recessional.
