I was having some trouble with my front end I asked them to take a look at & give me an estimate. They found a number of problems, altogether $500! I mentioned I didn't have that much and they promptly negotiated a great price on the most urgent issue (an extremely bad wheel bearing) for $225 (normally a nearly $300 job) While I sat waiting several people came in and all were treated with the same extraordinary courtesy and enthusiasm. I live a 1hr drive on the pike from here, but I'll make the trip to see these guys again in a heartbeat.

The offer free towing and quoted me $200 for a complete rear brake job including shoes and cylinders. They ended up charging me $950! Then I took my truck and after a couple of weeks the truck pulled to the left and the right rear axle seal was leaking rendering the right rear brake useless. I took it back in for them to look at. They sold me $1200 worth of a rear seal job and new front brakes, neither of which I needed! To do a rear brake job on an older Ford pickup, you must essentially do a complete rear seal job (you need to remove the axles to get at the brake internals). So they charged me to do a 2nd whole seal job! I didn't realize this at the time, only after speaking with the Ford dealer and studying this online. For example: http://www.boyandjeep.com/tech-articles/ford-dana-60-rear-drums This clearly shows you must replace rear outer seals to do a brake job! So they charged me for a second seal job like they had never done it before...They just did it! In addition, they sold me a front brake job as they said the pulling was from a bad caliper. Nonsense, the caliper made no noise like a broken or sticking caliper would. NO NOISE. It only gently pulled to the left when you braked because only the left rear brake was working...so the car would naturally pull to the left slightly when braking... So, after this $1200 worth of work, on top of the original overpriced rear brake job at $950, the right rear seal was leaking for a 2nd time!!! So I brought the truck in a 3rd time! This time, they said, they would reseal the right rear axle for free. And this was the first (very first time), they discussed that there was existing damage to the right rear hub that was causing the seal to not seal properly and when the differential fluid heats up and you go on the highway at high rotation, the fluid wants to leak out of the outer seal. BrakesPlus had two opportunities to discuss with me the supposed damaged hub. TWICE! They never did, until the seal had failed for the second time! Note also, that they never provided a receipt for the $1200 worth of work! They said it's in the mail, but it's been weeks since the work was done! No records of labor or parts breakdown...They just charge as much as they think you can afford and gouge you... So for me, they charged me $2,250 for front and rear brake job! The front job wasn't needed and the rear seal job was redundant with the seal job that you have to do as part of the rear brake work. Amazingly criminal work. Continuing with the story...the 3rd seal they installed for "free" also failed. Hmmm...I can't go back to a shop that waaaay overcharges and damages your car and then charges you for it. They claim that the hub was damaged before they ever looked at the car! But to do a rear brake job, you need to remove those outer seals and that's where they damaged the hub. They used a large screwdriver or crowbar, when they should have used a seal puller to remove the seal from the hub without scraping the inner surface of the hub. Soooo, stay away from these guys as they do terrible work and overcharge big time. Their customer service or the owner is ballistic on the phone and hangs up on you and is downright out of his mind... My credit card company will take things from here...You've been warned!

A quick Google search directed us to Tire Warehouse, 6 minutes away from where we were and thankfully open on a Sunday so we took a chance. We walked in and explained the situation. Within 10 minutes, our truck was looked at, tack removed, tire plugged and repaired. We were attempted to be shooed off and that we owed nothing, but we refused and threw a quick $60 at them. They saved the day and hours of aggravation elsewhere, how could we not. The people who work there are friendly, honest, considerate..I mean... I could just keep going on. Very pleased with their service and our experience. Top notch.

In September 2014, I bought a brand new motorcycle and had a dealer-installed, black ceramicoated…read morestage 1 exhaust installed. When I picked it up, I went over the bike with a fine-toothed comb. I rode it until November when i had my first 500 mile service. It was cold and wet out, so I wore rain gear. When I got the bike home and started to clean it up, I noticed a spot of melted raingear on the exhaust- about a 2" patch. I tried everything suggested online to remove it. Two different Western MA independent bike shops recommended Morini, so I went. I met with the owner Justin and showed him the bike. He quoted $125 to ceramicoat the muffler where the spot was and it should match the rest of the exhaust as their color is about the same- but if not, they could to the entire exhaust so it all matches for $375. He stated this was an "EASY" task for them as they've done it numerous times. We agreed and moved forward. After he had finished the muffler, I went to see it- it was perfect, but he stated that when they went to put it on, the color didn't match so I agreed to the higher amount to have it all done in the matching black color. I left the bike with them again and after a few days, went in to see it. Justin met me with an exhaust part in his hand because he had to redo it as he had hit a "hidden bolt" and chipped the coating they had applied. He expressed to me how there was very little room and that this exhaust was much harder than he thought. A couple days later, I went back and now there were chips on the muffler where it attached to the forward pipes, scuffs on the timing cover, scrapes on the cam cover, the inside of the right brake pedal assembly and MASSIVE scuffs on the oil cooler. I freaked out- his little helper stated he's hit it with some touch up paint if I wanted. I almost decked him. My bike with 580 miles on it had a ton of cosmetic damage- all around the areas of the exhaust. I ended up calling my insurance company and they replaced $3200 in parts/labor. To do the job properly, the dealer actually undoes the oil cooler and the brake assembly so they hang freely away from the frame allowing for the room needed to install the exhaust. If he'd spent 1/2 an hour or less to do this, there never would've been an issue. instead, his helper told me it took 3 people wrestling with it to get it in and out of the bike- no wonder it was damaged. I went back to Justin and he got cocky stating I couldn't prove the damage wasn't there before he touched it- maybe the dealer caused the damage installing the stage 1 exhaust. Well, the damage was BLATANT and obvious- and how would there be chips on the exhaust you JUST DID for me??? AND, if you're a few inches away from something and see all this damage BEFORE you touched it, you wouldn't say anything to cover your own butt? I know I would. Then his dad came out and started in on me about how wonderful his kid is and how good of a job he does. They refused to refund me or anything. This was a year ago and ANYONE who asked me about powdercoating or ceramicoating has heard this story- including the shops that referred me. Horrible work, terrible service, and a nightmare to deal with. There's more- phone calls, voicemails I saved and such, but I've typed enough. Oh, and I have pics if anyone doubts what I've written.
