Very disappointing experience…read more I was really looking forward to this appointment, especially as a busy mom who does not get much time to carve out for myself, but unfortunately this was one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had. My massage therapist walked in through the front door five minutes after my appointment start time, already putting things off on the wrong foot. During the massage, she asked if I wanted more pressure and I said yes, but the massage remained extremely weak and half-hearted, often using only one hand. I began to suspect she was distracted or not fully present. Eventually, I could not ignore the feeling anymore. I told her I needed to use the restroom, got up, and when I checked, she was on her phone actively watching something and she tried hiding her phone under the sheet. At that point, I walked out without finishing the service. I was so uncomfortable and unhappy that I could not take another minute. While the front desk receptionist was kind, she was having an open conversation with another massage therapist, loudly discussing her neighbor and calling him a redneck, which felt highly unprofessional and inappropriate for a spa environment. To make matters worse, the bathroom felt neglected. The faucet handle did not work properly, and there was a half used open water bottle with no cap sitting on the shelf, which was unsettling and unsanitary. As I was leaving, she told me that management would call me to follow up, but I never received a call. Overall, the space did not feel relaxing, calming, or professional. I left feeling frustrated and upset that my time and money were wasted. It is incredibly disappointing when you finally make time for self care and are met with such poor service and lack of respect for the client experience. I truly hope management addresses these issues, because this was not acceptable.

The not so good thing was that they didn't put us in a couples room and said it would be an additional $10, and my husband did not get the foot scrub which was part of our combination massage package. He also felt rushed by the massage therapist to start early while still undressing. However, as previously mentioned the massage itself was very nice and also appreciated the small bottled waters at the end. Otherwise, we would consider visiting here again if we're in the area.

Because the appointment was booked and paid for in advance through ClassPass, I was not aware that gratuity was not included. Regardless, being pressured in that manner is not an appropriate or professional way to handle tipping. Tipping should be voluntary, not something a client feels forced into through intimidation. Unfortunately, this interaction overshadowed what was meant to be a thoughtful birthday gift and left a negative impression.

At one point I actually turned around to see what was going on, and she appeared to be watching or reading something on her phone while she was supposed to be giving me a massage. This did not feel like a professional massage in any sense. There were no intentional therapeutic strokes, no real pressure, and absolutely no sense of care or attention. It felt like random, light finger movements while her attention was somewhere else entirely. I finally had to confront her and ask what kind of massage she was even giving me. The entire experience was so unprofessional that it honestly made me question whether the person working on me was properly trained or licensed. I cannot verify her licensing status, so I am not claiming that she was unlicensed -- but based on the experience I received, I would absolutely want to know what her professional qualifications were. What made it even stranger was that after giving me what barely qualified as a massage, she still seemed to expect a tip. I left feeling 100% worse than when I walked in. The whole experience felt uncomfortable, careless, and deeply unpleasant. I wish I remembered her name, but unfortunately I don't. I'm sharing this because people pay for massage expecting a trained professional who is actually present and attentive -- not someone looking at their phone while absentmindedly touching them with one hand. For me, this is a 100% stay away. I would never return.
