I went in for a Swedish massage which is advertised for $85 and hour on her website page. When I go in for my massage today 6/4/2018, she sits me down and tells me that her massages are $100 per hour insisting that Swedish massage will do me no good because it's just a "soft touch". She also bashed all Asian massage shops claiming they are no good because it's cheap and the masseuse chatter too much. As we proceed, it's a very tiny massage room with barley any light. Modern day music is playing. It seemed like the sheets I went into were used from the previous customer right before me. I could tell because I saw no sight of any other sheets to replace the old ones. There was even a dirty blanket on the floor. As she's massaging me, she is literally applying so much pressure that it was a painful experience. She told me to "curse and breath." She was also cursing saying words like "fuck" not to mention she kept going in and out of the room. She even complained about 3 times while massaging me. It definitely seems like she cannot keep up with her clients different body shapes and sizes. She didn't even do the complete hour and all of a sudden the massage was done. The massage itself was horrible. She makes up random moves as she goes along and it does not feel good at all!! Be aware that you will get criticized during your massage, along with major disruption, and uneasy music. This is not the place to come from if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing massage. She also asks you what your chiropractor (if you see one) has mentioned needs work so that she can work cohesively with your doctors to create a custom health plan that works to restore your body. As someone who has hypermobility issues, chronic pain, and frequent muscle and joint injuries, Suzanne's careful administration of anatomical knowledge as well as how to loosen the angry, inflamed muscles has been integral in getting my body back in balance. I came in because my tailbone and right hip were painful to move or even touch, and in just 3 sessions she was able to focus intently on those specific muscle areas and untangle a good portion of the aches away! I'll admit I'm a "massage whore" and tried every type of massages over the years mainly because I like being pampered! As I've matured I focus more on the results with less of the frou-frou candles, aromatherapy, and scented hot towels...sure they're nice once in awhile but I want some zen along with looser muscles and some relief! Ann Rose, the owner offers a massage technique called myofascia release and lymphatic massages...what?!!! Yeah exactly...never had this type of massage but would say it's closest to a Thai massage...I'm one to try something new and read the combo helps to loosen adhesion between the tissue and softens them along with ridding toxins out of your body! Sure why not! It's definitely beneficial for people who have had surgeries, been through chemo or just overall, for well being. Count...me...in! This session is 90 minutes with myofascia release done first with pressure, and stretching (she does for you) by using her own body weight without any oils or lotions...she's tiny but dang she's strong! After about 45 minutes it's onto the lymphatic massage which uses shorter strokes and pushing muscles in a specific direction using CBD oil...never had that but after felt GREAT! Not sure if from this type of massage or the CBD oil as I'm a newbie to CBD anything. Overall, a great experience and Ann is truly knowledgable, intuitive and can feel your trouble spots...Ann is a cancer survivor going on 12 years and truly compassionate, and will educate you and answer any questions you may have. I wish everyone could experience her but she's only offering her services to WOMEN only as a lot of her clientele are breast cancer survivors...she's doing great work!
