I had tried so many other approaches to my neck pain that started last September. The neck pain was intense and despite the other treatments (massage, traction, accupuncture, chiropractor, etc.) - nothing was working. I felt immediate relief after the first and after about a week or two I went back to Ed for a followup... felt even more relief after the 2nd visit. I had a somewhat confusing first appointment with Ed because nowhere in the appointment confirmation were there instructions about how to reach him on the appointment day. You have to text him on arrival so he can open the gate leading to the building he practices in. The first time I visited Ed he mostly did P-DTR with me and a tiny bit of manual therapy. I felt considerably better for a few days. I went back , gave him my feedback about what I felt in my body since then, and he promised me I'd feel better for even longer. He only did P-DTR on me. I tripped and fell down a couple of stairs 3 weeks ago, fell hard on a stone landing, and tore a ligament in my left shoulder and bruised a couple ribs. Since then, my left arm has been functional, but hurting and with limited mobility, and the pain has been interrupting my sleep. Ed worked on it this morning and already by this afternoon it's feeling much better, as is the rest of my body, which was developing various pains and areas of tightness as a result of the injury. Ed is amazing! I came to see him because I had a muscle spasm in my shoulder/neck area and I could barely turn my neck without extreme pain. Instantly after walking in Ed pointed out that he saw how uncomfortable and painful my shoulder looked. After a 40 minute session Ed was able to massage and work his magic to make me be able to completely turn my head both ways without any pain. I really appreciated that he explained a lot of what he was doing and he let me know that he wasn't massaging extremely hard because my neck was really swollen. By the end of the day, I was able to feel barely any pain in my neck and shoulder and was able to go to a music festival and dance all night. Had a really bad left hip issue surface and it wasn't getting any better. I found Ed and made an appointment to see him. He was very accommodating at the urgency of seeing him. Amazing work! I was approached by Ed in my gym and he explained what he does and his history. I met with him on a Friday and the first thing he asked what what are some issues I noticed. I explained I had anterior pelvic tilt, which I can tell effected how I walked and also that I had left writ at issssues. We got on a scale and realized majority of my weight was on my left when I thought it was my right. He did his bulletproof work and realized my right leg was shorter than my left leg. He did his magic, along with some other tests to make sure my glutes, hamstrings, and hip flexors were engaged. After some tests we completed the required work and did some tests to make sure it wouldn't happen again. After the session, I felt taller, I can tell my legs were more even by how smooth I walked and my wrist stopped hurting. (That I was dealing with for 2 weeks hoping it'll heal). Incredible! I was having to see a chiropractor every month for over a year for chronic pain around neck and shoulders, and before that a different chiro every few months for many years, in addition to regular deep tissue massages. I only had THREE appointments with Ed, and it has now been over 7 MONTHS without needing any bodywork at all from anyone. No chiropractors and no massages, and still feeling great! I came in with multiple issues involving neck, shoulders, arms/wrists on both sides, an old shoulder injury, and some weird tingling nerve issue in one hand that started a couple weeks prior to my first appointment. I've been receiving massage therapy for decades. During my travels, I have been fortunate to experience many different types of massage therapy in many different countries. Ed helped me get the root cause of a chronic knee problem diagnosed as patellofemoral pain syndrome. I suffered with nagging pain for more than 10 years , maybe more.. I, myself as a physical therapist did all the right exercises and got it "good enough" to still be able to run and be active knowing I was still wearing out the cartilage behind my knee cap. After a surgery that, although minor, cut far into my leg muscle, I was experiencing a lot of related musculoskeletal pain. I've worked with Ed on and off for a couple of years. He incorporates a lot of newly learn techniques into his work. At first I was skeptical, but the results I had speak for themselves.
