Full…read moredisclosure, I am a massage therapist and I am fairly picky about who works on me but I had been helping my son move for two days and just needed some deep tissue bodywork. They were able to accommodate me right away and the woman behind the desk was very friendly. They never took my name, never did any intake or had me fill out a form. The only reason they might now have my name is because I paid by credit card at the end. This is not how a professional place operates. No one ever told me my therapist's name so I don't know who worked on me. She worked within a routine and never really focused on anything for very long. I tried vocalizing mmmmm or saying "good" to let her know when something felt good but she didn't really stop and get into the tissue. The first part of the massage was compression through the sheet and when she finally applied oil it was too much to do connected deep tissue. I enjoyed the hot stones bc I never choose that option so it was a nice surprise. Some of her techniques felt good but it definitely wasn't the kind of bodywork I enjoy or needed.

I went in with severe neck spasms and very limited range of motion. Since I'm pregnant and unable to take prescription medications, I was really uncomfortable and hoping for some relief. David was absolutely amazing. He listened carefully to what was going on, worked thoughtfully and intentionally, and focused on the areas that needed the most attention. I woke up this morning completely pain-free with full range of motion -- something I honestly didn't think would happen that quickly. It made such a difference. He also took the time to show me a few stretches to help prevent the issue from coming back, which I really appreciated. The space itself was clean and smelled wonderful. It has an open concept with draped private sections rather than fully enclosed rooms. While it's not 100% soundproof, they play ocean sounds at a volume that makes it very difficult to hear anything else, and I still felt relaxed and comfortable. Mistakes happen and people are human but when I spoke to a different associate on the day of my service, she stated to me that I was scheduled for a different day at a time that was completely different from my intended time which to me proves the lack of listing. With Danville opening up I will be conducting my business elsewhere. Therapist are fantastic which makes the situation all that more unfortunate.

We selected Peichan and Sue as our masseuses when booking online. Sue was so good! She seemed to find my knots like magic, whether on my back, neck, or legs. She even focused on my outer shins (tibialis anterior) which is one of the spots most other masseuses overlook... as a runner, this was such a treat. Her technique was slow and focused on exact spots that needed it, most of all it was effective, without causing pain from too much pressure, I was loving it! My partner had a satisfying massage as well. Peichan applied kinesiology moves, a range of motions including stretching. The setting was clean and comfortable in the community room which contained a total of 5 massage chairs that converted into beds, and a single portable massage chair. We were given blankets too as we relaxed before our treatments, and gentle melodies played in the background during our massages. The staff here was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We got exactly what we had hoped for, and I would easily return, especially if I can get Sue again :)

I need a lot lighter touch massage than my boyfriend but this second one was terrible. There was no technique used at all, she basically just rubbed me with oil the whole time. For the first time in my life I had to ask them to go harder. She did then, for like 10 seconds, but went back to the light touch. I was so frustrated laying there in the bed. Although she always asks me what areas need special attention if I forget, she can always find it and get in there and break up my knots or put me to sleep. The ambiance is great and the room smells amazing. She uses cupping if necessary, an amazing heating pad, and all sorts of devices to get you feeling great. Some people like relaxing massages and I like deep tissue massage but whatever your preference she's fantastic. My friend with Parkinson's really lives his Norma Jean Massage to give his body tremors a break. I cannot recommend her enough!!
