I have to say this location has been an excellent experience for me every time. Today I enjoyed a 1 hour massage and I am heading into my facial in a few minutes. My hubby enjoys coming, as well. Today we booked back to back massage and facial appointments. So far so Great! The waiting room or Zen Den, is so relaxing to chill while you wait. The seating is comfy and they have outlets to charge your phone or plug in a lap top. I brought mine today to do some work while I wait my turn. The staff are always so sweet and friendly. The bathrooms are always stocked and clean. Parking is easy with a row of parking spots right outside the door plus more. The location of this Massage Envy is perfect. Located near the CostCo, multiple shops, and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and professional. I've been coming here for over a year now, and I've never had a bad experience. They have plenty of masseuses that range from sheepish massage to deep tissue massage, so whatever you need, they have someone who can meet it. This place is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and there are so many options for tension and stress relief that you can add to your basic massage. We have been to a couple of Massage Envy locations, and this review is specifically for the Mark St. Location. At first, I had a couple of massage therapists and found one that I really liked. I have scheduled my appointments a month in advance to make sure i get the same therapist. The last time I went for a massage, I was notified just before my appointment that I had been rescheduled with another therapist instead of the person I requested. Ok, I'll give him a try. Maybe my original one has to take off or was sick. BIG MISTAKE. Well, first, when I showed up, I saw my original therapist in the hallway. So I don't know what the deal was. Then the guy I got is either inexperienced or just doesn't want to be there, or possibly both. I requested firm pressure, but it was like he just didn't want to. When it was coming toward the end of my session, he started to pull my earlobes. Pull and let, go pull and let go, over and over. WTHeck!, in all the years of getting massages, I've never had this. It was ridiculous! What a waste of time and money. Luckily for them, I'm stuck in a contract. read more

Bad customer service (administrative/front desk) and im super easy-going, I rarely complain about customer service anywhere (check my reviews). The first time i went, they were talking bad about a client that had just left and laughing/rolling their eyes at her, which was a big red flag. The front desk people are always strange. They act like they are in high school and also lack charisma and behave awkwardly (blank stares, cold with customers but laughing among eachother). From personal experience, at the front desk they either have attitudes in person or try to demean people over the phone. The last straw is when I had to call and ask why their scheduling system was confusing. Theres always odd issues with scheduling that ive never experienced at the other location or in any other business. Just two weeks ago, My mom and I, who are both members booked an appointment for the same time but only my mom got a reminder so I didnt know if my appointment was still happening. I brushed it off. Today, another issue but now there's an attitude from the front desk girl with the big false lashes that are always falling off and the manager doesn't seem to care that her employee was disrespectful after I let her know that i keep getting confused about the way they schedule stuff. I dont like problems. So Even before i got off the phone with the front desk girl, i said "ok well have a good day, thanks anyways" and she stays silent for a few seconds and hangs up. Note to whoever runs this stuff: Theres no reason to book someone's appointment for a different time after someone cancels, it just creates confusion. After someone cancels, send them a confirmation like most businesses do instead of nothing at all, and link the appointments to the app (cause thats the point of the app) it seems like this stuff is purposeful to get free money from cancellation without having their employees work. Leilani was amazing she was very kind. She took the time with areas that needed attention. I deal with upper neck tension and sciatic pain. For the time that was allotted she focused on that areas. Here's where my issue is. I redeemed my gift card for Mother's Day, and booked a 60 min massage. I also added two additional enhancements, an exfoliating foot and an exfoliating hand treatment. I was surprised when I found out the enhancements took time away from the 60 minute massage. That's not stated clearly on their website. It does state clearly that 10 of that 60 min is for changing etc. I paid $120 for a 60 min massage and an additional $15 for each enhancement. That should have been additional time allotted for this. It states that an exfoliation may be longer depending on services, not that time is taken out of massage session. read more

It was my first time booking with Massage Envy and unfortunately I had a medical emergency where my father was hospitalized. In the midst of chaos I didn't call to cancel the appointment until after the appointment and was charged $200 for a $130 service. When I went to massage envy in person to speak with the manager, I was told she wasn't there when she was in fact there and available. When I happen to see her pass and spoke to the manager, Mariah, she was very rude. Stating that she would have expected me to call and that it's just policy. After having to reiterate the situation and lack of compassion on her part I was told that she could possibly refund me something if I brought a doctor's note back that day. I returned same day with a doctor's note. After a week or avoiding my calls, I went back to Massage Envy and was given the same disregard and flat affect as I initially received. As a professional, I have never experienced such distasteful customer service and lack of regard for the customer. She could have at least pretended to care. This business is very high priced and pseudo sophisticated, from start to end I was treated insignificantly. I'm a registered nurse who works long hours and I would have loved to bring fellow nurses, friends, and family for memberships. Poor business move by an under qualified manager. I think the promotion would have been a great gift however not for the lack of customer service/kindness, and the add-ons for services... This manager, Mariah, is a joke to this business, I was lied to about a partial refund and lied to about have my doctor's note reviewed by Mariah's manager. Nothing was done and I was treated poorly. I hope for Massage Envy's sake, they find a candidate who at least pretends to care. Decided it would be a nice gesture to my work team members to transfer over 1 of my available massages on my account as a gift. Called over on the 23rd of December and spoke to someone who processed the transfer. Low and behold. When my employee decided to use the prepaid massage at a local massage envy she was told that there was no prepaid and was charged the full amount. So much for a gift. My employee explained what happened and I reimbursed her for her charge. Not a good feeling when you get a free massage are relaxed and expect to be done and then end up paying for it. Call over to massage envy galleria my home location and was told my receptionist that their was an error and it was not applied. Fast forward. Speak with manager Mariah and was given very little in terms of empathy or responsibility taken in the error they made. She told me that she could "try" to reverse charge at other locations and give an enhancement as a sorry. So do what they were supposed to do the first time and give me an enhancement worth a few bucks. As a 20 year customer, really disappointed that the manager showed less concern than the Initial person to take the call. At least, the first young lady showed empathy and took responsibility for something she had nothing to do with. Mariah seemed indifferent to the situation. Service was only good my first time going. I was so wowed by my initial experience I signed up for a membership only to receive the worst experience ever my second time. After bringing my concern up to front desk and management I'm being told I can't cancel my membership (without paying $99 fee) even though I'm unhappy with the service. Feels like I've been scammed and in this climate it sucks and seems very unfair. I've addressed this with the "GM" and asked for a solution if she's unable to provide I've requested to speak with the next higher up which I was told is the owner. Massages are supposed to be available at any location, but because these are "franchises" they don't cooperate with each other and risk what is seemingly a reputable brand. The staff is great, front customer service to the therapist. The facilities are always clean and inviting. They have a sleuth of products available. If you like deep pressure, ask for Jun, you won't regret it. I do the monthly subscription and have had it for years (10+), my only issue is a corporate one, it's the mismanagement of transferring credits. I haven't had an issue at this location, but overall, Massage Envy needs to revisit this "member benefit" to ensure a smoother transaction. read more

I realize therapist come and go and it's hard to find a good one, but did you know that if you don't like your service you may have the therapist stop immediately and then you won't get charged? This was the first I've heard of that and I don't know if I could even do that it seems incredibly rude. The past two massages I've had here have been horrible. I asked the manager for a refund today and she said no. They obviously don't care about my business as a long-term customer. The girls at the front have no business recommending therapists because obviously they don't do a good job at that. Just don't. I was in room 5. The room was cold, floor covered with lint, paper bits, etc. The sound system was broken. They share the thin wall with a pizza place, so loud banging of trays is non -stop, the shared wall literally shaking. Loud conversation with laughter coming from the employee breakroom on another side. Cherry on top, the masseuse sounded very wheezy and there's a HUGE language barrier. It was so pleasant and I wish I could remember the ladies name that did my massage because she was just the absolute nicest person ever and made me feel not only relaxed from the massage but very comfortable. Went in for my massage today with Kevin. When i got there they were prompt and courteous. +1 star for that. Got me in to the waiting area and didn't wait long. Kevin was a big bruiser and i felt like i was going to get a good deep tissue massage and help relieve the bad knots in my back from my time in the infantry. It started out ok, but then it felt like he pulled out his phone and was either watching tik tok vids or highlights from the Celtics/warriors final. He was massaging me with one hand. He made me realize what a lousy job i do when i massage my wife and watch sports highlights. The whole massage was like that till the end when he used the enhancement that felt like icy hot. He uses 2 hands for that. But it felt more like he was rubbing oil all over me with 10% pressure from one hand. The worst part is that i had a double shot espresso and was up the whole way. Would have been better if i had fallen asleep. He was nice though and asked how i felt after. I said i felt relaxed cause that's all i could do for 1.5 hours. Muscles feel tight still, so if you want a deep tissue, don't be fooled by Kevin's large frame. read more

We moved to another city and for over a year attempted to transfer our account, but the Henderson store kept dropping the ball... 100% incompetence. With COVID closing their stores for 2+ months (while they continued to charge my credit card) and us never being told they had reopened. I didn't mind but now I have racked up many massages that I must use in 60 days or else I lose them . why doesn't the company extend their grace period since I couldn't get any massages while the stores were closed, or why not freeze my account(20 dollar fee) like other companies did when they were closed.. so now I lose my massages or give them away (10 dollar transfer fee). They are not offering a refund for the months they charged people while their services were closed.. I was in need of a deep tissue massage pronto and after my set appointment at 1pm at Aetherspa was a no show (yes, I showed up, but the therapist was not there), I had to call around to see if I can come in today. I decided on Massage Envy. I typically don't like this kind of massage place because it's a franchise, but I have no other choice if I want a massage today. I am so glad I did. This Massage Envy was very close to my home. My therapist did an awesome job on releasing those knots on my back. The ladies in front are friendly and of course, they do their sphill on the membership. I enjoyed it, but I don't believe it's worth the monthly due of $59 for me only because I get massage once a month. But if you are a massage whore and found a therapist that you like, then it is indeed a great deal because the $59 monthly due, you get one customized 1-hr massage session a month, and unlimited 1-hr massage sessions throughout that month. read more

As I said previously, I am a charter member of this Massage Envy, and as you can tell by my glowing 5 star review, I have always highly regarded the service I have received here. However, as with many businesses, it would seem the last few years has taken a BIG toll on them. I'm pretty sure ownership/management has changed hands but I'm not sure exactly when. Turnover has been quite high, with many of my favorite therapists having departed. You cannot imagine how delighted I was to hear that Cleo, one of my all time, absolute best massage therapists, had returned on a part time basis. He had been MIA at ME the last few years while serving in the National Guard. Since the pandemic it has been pretty difficult to get an appointment with anyone, we're talking 3-4 weeks out routinely, and even harder yet to book Cleo since he only works 2 days a week. He is in high demand and usually books out very early. I waited at least a month for an appointment in August, with him. The morning of, I get a call informing me that he got called in that weekend and had to cancel. They did pair me with another therapist for that appointment, and she was pretty good, but it wasn't Cleo. So, right away I make 2 more appointments with him for open dates in October. The first one came off and it was great. He definitely has not lost his touch. The second was supposed to be today. 2 days ago, I got the text asking me to answer all the Covid questions, which I did. Since it is a little distance for me, I checked my phone just before I left for my appointment. NOTHING! No call. No text. So I drive over. When I get there, I am informed that Cleo had some kind of accident at his other job and would not make the appointment. Now, I totally get that things like this happen and although I was very disappointed, I could not get angry about it. I asked if he was okay, which is the main concern and which they could/would not answer, but then they tried to tell me they had called my phone earlier this morning to inform me my appointment was cancelled. What does rile me is they so very, obviously did not try to call me or they must not have tried very hard. They did have the right number, I checked. I asked if they called in someone else and they said they tried but couldn't get anyone to come in. At that point, I figured it was all B.S. and I told them so. I am, and have been, a very loyal customer of ME but in light of all that is going on with them lately, I am losing faith. As a result, the stress that I was going in to get relieved of, has multiplied. I'm not sure what I will do in the long run, I still have 3 prepaids left on my account, but I really can't help but believe they are no longer reliable nor are they concerned about the quality of service they provide. I will wait to see how the manager responds but I'm afraid I may have to rethink my membership. Sad! read more

He went into detail about everything to make me fill more comfortable and explained what to expect. And asked what my comfort levels were.
