I hate ling spa. They ask for a tip after I paid for an hour and got 10 mins! It's horrible. Ling spa sucks!

My mom was visiting from out of town and wanted to make her weekend a spa weekend. Because of…read morepregnancy, I was limited to taking only prenatal massages, so I looked up all the highly-rated places in Las Vegas and LOAM came up. It was easy to look over their services on their website, but to ensure my mom and I could do our massages together at the same time, I found calling them was much better. I had booked the 50-minute Prenatal Massage and my mom booked the 50-minute Thai LOAM Massage with a 50% reservation fee. We were required to show up 10 minutes before our appointments to fill out a waiver and survey, change out of our clothes, and get situated on the massage bed. We were originally going to be in separate rooms but they asked if it was okay to put us in the couples' room; not a problem. They set up my bed with the pregnancy wedge for my belly, and it was pretty comfortable. The only complaint I had was that I had a hard time breathing through the little head hole as they layered a lot of white sheets on top of the bed and made the hole smaller and stifling. I found myself having to breathe through my mouth but it was tolerable. For prenatal massages, they only offer light and medium pressure. However, in certain areas I did feel like I got deep pressure especially in my shoulders as I had a few knots and tightness there. Katie/Kathy was my masseuse and she knew exactly how to work out those kinks while still making the experience comfortable for a pregnant person. I still felt like I got deep tissue massage on my shoulders despite the prenatal massage policy of being at maximum medium pressure. My mom said she found her massage relaxing and loved her experience at LOAM. They gave us water cups at checkout and we left feeling pretty relaxed. I did have a bit of shoulder soreness for 2 days afterwards but that is to be expected for getting the incessant knots out of my back--shoutout to Katie/Kathy! Overall, I highly recommend LOAM for their prenatal massages!

A business shouldn't only be measured by its positive experiences, but also by how it handles mistakes. After a great massage focused on a problem area, I booked a follow-up appointment with the Associate before leaving. As the date approached, I received no communication, so I called only to be told there was no record of my booking. Then, a month later (on the same date I had originally booked), I received a call from the manager, Karina, asking why I had missed my appointment. I explained the prior issue and that no appointment existed on my end. A week later, Karina called again to say they would "courtesy waive" a no-show fee. I reiterated that there should be no fee at all, as I never booked that date. I also explained an Associate never called me as they usually do to confirm the appointment and asked if their approach had changed. She responded that she needed to pay her employee and close her books, which missed the point entirely. She also mentioned an email had been sent - I later found it in my junk folder, but I had no reason to look there for an appointment I didn't make. Had I seen it, I would have contacted them to correct their error. While I've had positive experiences at Lapis & Oak, I'm disappointed in how this situation was handled. I understand mistakes happen, and I'll take steps like booking directly through their website rather than with a person and checking junk folders more often. However, what I find most frustrating and the reason for this review, is the lack of accountability and the tendency to shift blame onto the customer.

We used the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and locker room facilities, and everything was consistently clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. My wife had a deep tissue massage and said it was excellent. I even got a pedicure, which was great as well. Even though I don't remember everyone's names, every staff member we interacted with was friendly, pleasant, and incredibly helpful. They really helped make our weekend feel relaxing and stress-free. If we stay again at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara, we will definitely return to Lapis Spa inside Planet Hollywood. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind while in Las Vegas.

However, my most recent visit (a few days ago) Heidi was not available and I had Gisele instead. She was kind at pickup, however, as we were talking through the consultation she visibly started becoming detached and I caught her slightly roll her eyes a few times after I asked some questions about add ons. While she stepped out and I was about to get on the table, I stuck my head out into the hall to ask to add an oil add on and she was leaning against the wall on her phone. She immediately put it away and said she could add the oil (I forgot the name of it). I thought this was a bit unprofessional since there are guests walking up and down the hall. During the massage, I asked for her to lighten the pressure and her responses were clipped and she seemed annoyed. I did not feel relaxed after and felt like a huge inconvenience to her. I always go down to enjoy the spa and it honestly was chaotic this time. I always enjoy the sauna shows (Joli is amazing!). The common area was too over crowded and it was LOUD. I get it, it's a social area but the employees should be able to ask to lower the voices in a spa, right? Apparently not. I asked Rolli (he said he was a supervisor) about it and pretty much said that's how it is and I could go to the female only side for more quiet if I wanted. I then saw him approach a female employee with orange hair and they seemed to laugh about it as she looked over my way. Also, all of the warm stone chairs had towels/robes on them to block anyone from sitting while everyone was in the pool. So no one else could enjoy them and again the employees didn't do anything about it. Okay.... I felt unwelcome in that area with them so I went to the ladies side. The hot tubs edges had black/green goop building up. Half the showers are broken. There were dirty cups/bowls everywhere. The star lounge had dirty towels built up. I went to the desk (where they give you your shoes) and there were about 7-8 of them standing inside...men too! Why can they see into the ladies only side? Again, fine I'll move on from that...but they were all so so loud and just laughing and chit chatting. You could hear them in the locker changing areas and the couches where you enjoy the snacks. While the entire spa was a mess! I got changed and left. I didn't even want to mention anything at the reception desk. It was overwhelming and underwhelming all at the same time and just wanted to get out of there. I honestly won't be coming back. The facilities are not being kept up with anymore. The service quality is very low. It was such a bad experience, there are other spas that offer better value for your money.

She did not address/spend extra time on the spots I had emphasized to her (neck/shoulders). After the massage I laid there for not even 60 seconds when she was knocking on my door rushing me out. I was early to my massage;everything was on time. It felt very rude and unnecessary. They should not be overbooking if they're going to rush people like that. I've had many massages and they've never rushed me at the end like that or not cared about the spots that I came there to massage out. The spa itself is great. The only thing I don't like is when you make an appointment, they don't send you an email or text confirmation. This gives me anxiety that they will screw up. Even though they call you the day before to confirm, to me it's basic for them to have the ability to send you an email or text confirmation. It's not that hard so step it up!
