Well well. So I tried this place out since I just moved to the area and needed a massage ASAP. They were really nice on the phone as well as when I came in. They took me into a little seating area and had a short conversation with me about what my problem areas were and also what I like and don't like. I definitely appreciated that. So they had a deal for newbies it was one hour for 55$. They told me on the phone to come in early to make sure they can have this conversation with me. My appointment was at 1 at that was exactly the time I was in the massage room. So far so good. My massage therapist came in and asked the same questions one more time that we don't have any misunderstandings which I also highly appreciated. We started the massage at 1.10 and I did feel a little rushed through it. When she was done and I checked the time it was 1.46? So now I was a little surprised and confused so I asked my therapist if I misunderstood the hour and it was just half an hour but she said no. So when I went to the front it was 1.51. Clearly not an hour. I did tell the front desk about it and they did give me a ten dollar discount. After all that's fine. But it wasn't about the money it was really that I needed the massage badly and I was willing to pay any price at that moment to get a full hour. She explained to me that the first five minutes include a short talk with the therapist and me getting undressed. Which still didn't make an hour. Either way. I still tipped my therapist 10$ because I'm from the service industry and I just wouldn't do that to her. But as a first time promotion I would just expect a little more effort if you want to keep customers. Would I go back? Most likely only if it's a last minute situation. If I can schedule a regular appointment somewhere else I will. read more

Trash massage. A walk in massage is impossible here. Scheduling a massage is not as simple as it should be. Their app for booking the massage has never worked. Staff always blames corporate and instructs me to call them to resolve the issue. Booking an appointment on the phone requires me to listen to "elevator hold music" for much longer than I would like. This place called me to cancel `~50% of the appointments that I've booked. Every cancellation was due to a masseuse "emergency". Finally, Massage Envy wants me to visit their location IN PERSON in order for me to cancel my membership. WHAT?!! No, I'm calling my credit card company to receive chargeback on all of my prepaid massages. This company should not want me to visit them again, as I will not have much good to say about this place to their customers in the waiting room. All of my problems have been resolved by going to the massage place down the road. read more

Massage was great by O'Dean, the staff....RUDE In addition, my husband and I thought it was the right thing to do during the pandemic to allow them to keep charging our card to help them get through it. WRONG! No appreciation, rude people, NO call backs (after many promises). NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all! Plus, you have to jump through hoops to cancel the credit card! Listen to all the others, do not give them your credit card! Go to a different Massage Envy! Plus, it's usually stuffy and stale air! I don't think they like to run their A/C. They were super nice and accommodating when I was paying a monthly membership. That all changed when I decided to end my membership after paying them for nearly 2 years. Without hesitation they have gotten change from surrounding businesses if they didn't have enough. Today for some reason they couldn't. They want me to believe as a business they only had $5 worth in change. Then the girls behind the counter all of a sudden can only speak Spanish to one another and want to roll their eyes when discussing me wanting change. I'm glad I cancelled my membership, and after hearing how the company lawyers responded to the sexual assault allegations, I would never recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

I had a membership for about a year or so and since it's close to my house, I only came to this location. I honestly have no complaints about the therapists cause they were all great and attentive to my needs. The issues I encountered were more customer service oriented and about the front desk. The first time I came, I had just wanted to pamper myself with a massage since I hadn't gotten one in a while. As soon as I came in I was greeted warmly, given the option of choosing aromas or a free foot scrub, etc... it was after the massage that I didn't like. I'm guessing it's really important for them to sell memberships, but I just saw what looked like the manager kinda point one girl in my direction to try and sell me a one year subscription. I let her do her spiel and when I told her I wasn't exactly interested, another girl came in to my other side to try and help her sell. They were incredibly persistent even after I had said no a couple times but I left it at that and didn't buy anything. I came back a couple of months later for another massage and to try the location again. I actually purchased the membership at that time since I had the job and money to pay a monthly membership. Like I said, the therapists were great and respectful, always asking different questions and wanting to know what I liked and didn't like, and the rooms were always clean. The membership was worth it, and the extra perks were great. My visit was ok probably due to them being happy about another person to add to their quota of sales. Now I have no problem with staff being trained and with new staff members. But every time I would go there would be new staff, sometimes they would be attentive, sometimes they would be incredibly rude. And again, they would act like vultures, trying to sell. I even remember one time I had set up an appointment after finishing my massage for the next month, and it was never booked! I also ALWAYS had to ask for my extra free services as I was never offered them. They also never explained the contract properly to me when I signed for the year. Even though you only sign for the year and it ends on a specific date, you still need to let them know that you don't want to continue. What's funny is that my credit card was changed due to fraud on the month that my membership ended so I thought that since I wasn't charged, I was good to go! I was called by the company 2 months later stating that I owed them money and I told them I hadn't gone in about 3 months so that was impossible, plus the contract had the date it was ending on it. The business office manager stated that I had never cancelled my membership and that if I wanted to cancel it now I could, but I would still owe them the money for the 3 months and that I would have 2 weeks to use the services. I fought it and didn't want to pay for services I hadn't used, plus I was no longer under the year but she stated I had to pay it and that there was no other option. I ended up paying it in full and told her she needed to train her staff better. I went ahead and called to book my 3 massages; not complaining about that too much cause I got my services and it felt good. Moral of the story (after such a long review sorry lol)...this location is after your money and not your comfort. Even though I'd recommend the company, I wouldn't recommend this location. read more

I usually wouldn't head to Massage Envy but I was desperate for a massage so I took what I could get and I walked away pretty surprised. I made an appointment online which was easy and quick. When I arrived I was asked to answer a few questions on a tablet about what I was looking for. It was nice to state what I needed before I even got into the room with my therapist. I didn't wait long before I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who was going to be doing my massage. This would be the one thing that made my experience a little strange as my therapist didn't really speak any English. We made it work but there were a few times that I felt I really couldn't communicate my needs to him. He was really amazing, I am pretty sure he had magic hands. The only thing is that he massaged my stomach even though it was an area that I had marked as a skip during the survey on the tablet. It was then I wished I could have communicated with him. Even with the stomach massaging and inability to commicate my experince was still really great. I walked away relaxed and happy. read more

I won't continue to use this location for massage services. I scheduled a massage for my mother on her birthday and she arrived well ahead of time. She completed the form provided and waited to be called. Several people came in after her and were acknowledged then immediately taken in for their massage. The masseuse did her job well. My mom was done and had them charge my card on file. She walked out and a worker asked her for a tip. Mind you this was a birthday gift that someone else paid for. She provided a tip and the worker didn't feel it was enough and harassed her to charge the card on file additional for a tip. Talking to her as if the company requires a certain amount towards a tip. If someone decides to leave a tip they will do so and when they do it is up to the consumer to select how much they want to leave. They're so pushy in there. They try to sell so much addition shit for a commission. Not a pleasant over all experience. read more

So we cancelled our membership because of COVID in March and they were impossible and still are. Finally they stopped charging us in May and guess what they charged us on June 15. How they do this is scary since getting "the manager" on the phone is impossible and they are simply a mess of an company. We told them we would share our experience on social media and are starting with Yelp. I think the lesson is not to give your credit card number for renewal services such as this. I came here for my birthday in need of a massage and massage envy did not disappoint. From start to finish I was very happy with the service that I received. I was greeted by Hailey who was super sweet with a bubbly personality. I like that she came over and sat right next to me and asked me several questions. Her sitting next to me made it personal and seem like she cared. Once I finished answering her questions she offered me water and soon after my masseuse came to get me. The masseuse was very friendly as well. The massage was great and she made sure to periodically ask me if the pressure was ok. At the end of the massage I was once again greeted by Hailey and she came over and helped me with the check out process as well as inform me about their membership rewards program which I was more than happy to sign up for. She was very thorough in explaining all details and perks of the membership. Overall I left here very pleased and cannot wait to return. I did miss the spa aspect where you get a glass of champagne at the end and I think if they did this then that would make me even happier. I was also pleased to learn that they also offer facials, microdermabrasion and chemical peels which peaked my interest. I will definitely be giving those a try in the future. Massage Envy is generally a good organization but this branch is horrible. I signed up the the membership when on vacation a few years ago and enjoyed the membership close to home. I have tried to cancel the membership a number of times and each time the front desk or the manager tells me 'it's taken care of' only to have the charge continue on my card the following month. I just had a deep tissue massage as Always I used to have in Aventura Location; I'm member since Long time ago. I decided to try another location today (North Miami) because The Aventura Location is always impossible to book an appointment. It was a nightmare: The male that did the massage literally burned my back with some hot towels ; I have my back Burned, completely hot, red color, painful as crazy; I'm a dental professional, and this massage was supposed to be to be more relax!! For the record, I am not your typical Massage Envy customer. I received a gift certificate from my wife 2 years ago and was duly prompted to use it as soon as possible and to stop waiting to use it. So as you can see, massages are not my usual mode of decompression. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and my gift for my wife due to the wonderful customer service at the front desk as well as spectacular service from my masseuse Leanza. I cannot give you a thorough description of the service because, again, this is not really my thing. All I can tell you is that it was great. I did end up having a relaxing experience as well as a thoroughly enlightening conversation with Leanza. If I were to ever engage in getting a massage again, which I probably won't, I would do it here in Massage Envy in North Miami. read more

This is a horrible business. I signed one of their stupid contracts despite my better judgement. It was on automatic pay on my credit card. When my identity was stolen I was reissued new credit card accounts. I forgot all about Massage Envy because when you have your identity is stolen your last thought is "Oh let me call the massage place." Due to lack of time, I really didn't use all of my services. When I had time for a massage, I called to make an appointment. They reminded me of the contract and said that they could not give me an appointment because I had not paid the other months of my membership. I explained the situation. They were unsympathetic and said if I wanted an appt. I would have to pay back all of the missed months (mind you they had collected $60 worth of service which they said I had but never got.) I said I will pay for the service separately. They said no. I asked if I could use they remaining $60 for service; they said no. I asked if I could get the money reimbursed since I didn't use the $60; they said no. Essentially they stole my $60. Called corporate and everyone. All were rude (especially the manager in North Miami which was some nasty guy). Poor business plan if they are willing to lose a customer for $60, especially since their massages aren't so great. My last massage with them I spent an hour listening to the masseuse talk about her miscarriage. Very sad but I wanted to relax and not hear about such a sad incident. The girl who helped me on the phone was super nice and she booked my husband for an appt on Fri night so afterwards he can just come home and sleep. OH MY GOD! Recently, I was very happy to learn that one of their therapist, Ronnie, had returned. He has a background in chiropractic medicine and massage. Absolutely horrible customer service. When I first went around November 2020 they convince me to sign up for a 6 month membership and told me it would stop after and I can choose if I wanted to continue. After the 6 months they charged my card $130 after I spoke with a gentlemen telling him I wanted to cancel but I'm out of town. He said it was okay and my card wouldn't be charged and just come in when I get back. They don't let you cancel over the phone you have to go in and sign a paper which is ridiculous it's 2021 I shouldn't have to go in. They did not help what so ever and told me they weren't refunding me and that my membership renew automatically even though that wasn't what I was told. The massages are very inconsistent. My last massage the lady left scratches and bruise on my back from pressing so hard. And I did one facial after had really bad breakouts from what they used. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF MONEY AND DO NOTHING TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE. read more

Stay away ! This place sucks! This whole franchise is a freaking fraud . I dont know where they get their therapists from , but they're horrible ! Do yourself a favor and do not do any business with this company ! I tried two different stores , two different therapists , both horrible experiences ! Be careful with this place. They are quick to get you to sign a contract with them, but you will have a HARD time to get out of it after 1 year contract. When they want your business they carry you around offer you cookies, water, put you to sit in a reserved room to get your business. (The front desk can do that for you) But when you want to cancel it... The front desk can (not) help you... They tell you a manager will call you... Why? I did not speak to a manager to sing in with them a year ago. Then the "manager" Jessica F. Emails you don't have the courtesy to email/call you back to say we got your cancellation form. When you call and Jessica is not in nobody can solve your issue or update you on your case. If you want headaches on your life sign up with this people. My solution was To cancel the card they have on file that way the would not be able to charge me once I was on outpay. And their turnover is huge I did go thru 4 Masseur in one year? read more

The therapy is good however the front staff is poorly lacking. The clinic manager, Cassius is unprofessional and will not answer your calls and is timid when interacting with guests. I have called and left five messages over five days and he has created a conflict by not contacting me back. He also makes fun of guests and I have seen him carrying on with other employees.
