This was a very highly anticipated visit as it was the first time in three years my girlfriends and I were getting together since COVID. We were very excited. I got a call to see if I could come in 30 minutes early as the aesthetician had a cancellation. When I realized my inability to read at all close up print especially when it is light grey on white and barely visible I asked for help. the guy behind the counter this he at first told me where to enter my email address but didn't help me ensure the buttons I hit were correct. Then he stopped helping me entirely and looked at the girl who was with him who chimed in - we can't do it for you. He then added on ya we can't go get your glasses. I was so taken aback by this I just blurted out that it's not a glasses issue I'm going blind. They were both oh well sorry we can't help you. I just wanted to cry, or run out of there. I froze. They wouldn't help me or make any attempt to fix the colors or increase font size. I was about to bail when the aesthetician Brook came to my rescue she helped me and was so kind. After the visit the two at the desk ran through the canned script asking me if I wanted to sign up for services no apology or acknowledgement of any kind then ignored me until my friend was done and we left. This is absolutely not ok. This is the type of business that offers service to help people. I wasn't demanding or rude or anything. I didn't get mad. I was polite and asked for help and was treated rudely, unkindly, and thank goodness Brook was an ally, but she didn't stand up to them either. I got the impression it wasn't the first time they had treated someone like this either. There needs to be an ADA review and education of the staff if the company doesn't want to push good customers/ people who need self care away. And I feel bad for the specialists losing revenue due to the y professionalism of reception. I did too her well and bought the products she recommended in the hopes she would get something positive from it. I did not sign up and would have otherwise. I just got a crummy massage where I asked for neck work & didn't get it. When I checked out I asked all 3 receptionist if they had any therapist who were good at neck massage. I got blank stares till one of them said, "I feel like our therapist don't really do that". Considering back & neck are the bread & butter of massage, I feel like the receptionist & therapist should learn some anatomy for good business practice. Well, this review had to be posted a couple of months ago but I was trying to wait to here from another friend's opinion... I think the same as her that some of the masseuse are phenomenal!! I haven't have the stretching one because I do it at home ;) But facial treatments are a mix of emotions. Staff is friendly but the problem is the technique. They introduce these new services and I think they need more knowledge. I've had facials before and this one is suuuper basic as the same thing you could do at home. They charge you a lot for this. The microderm experience was something. The moisturizing part was good. But the suction was something. This lady would use high level on my neck. I knew I was going yo feel something, maybe a little pain. But she make me some bruises!!!!! After noticing it, she lower the level and just didn't help the rest of the face where it should have been used higher!! A waste of money. I knew this but I think I should tell you that you must consider this is just like a deep facial (obviously not that deep). Don't expect losing scars or all clean pores because that's the kind of treatment you will have to take from a Dermatologist doctor. I didn't like they tried to sell all their products to me. Is difficult and the coupons you get with your membership can be difficult it to use due to limited therapists having the skills for some of the treatments. Ive done massages for decades and this place is by far the worst, including their 50 minute process. Can't wait to cancel my membership and that sounds like it's going to be a nightmare. read more

Since their business is no longer working well, these people try to find an opportunity to steal their customer's money. I booked a 60-minute massage with them when I arrived there on time the receptionist was busy with other customers, this way I lost 10 minutes of my 1-hour massage. Also during the massage the provider said that I was booked for only 30 minutes, so he stopped at 30 minutes. This really surprised me, as I have been getting massages for more than 10 years, and never book for less than 60 minutes Now, I will not say how poor and basic was the quality of the massage, and he left me totally unsatisfied. After the message was done, I went to the receptionist Jacky (very rude), to tell her my concern, but she put the fault on me saying that I was 10 minutes late, and didn't want to refund me for the remaining 30m. I had to ask for a manager to call me, so Nicky called me a week later, only because I had to repeatedly insist and ask for her to call me back. Her manner was very rude, and unprofessional, she didn't admit her receptionist's lack of explanation and didn't refund me my $70 half of the price they owed me. This place is a total scam, people are rude and not problem solvers, also their service is very poor with a low quality which doesn't provide you with a positive energy. I have been going here for several years. The therapists are personable and will interface as much as you want to. The massages are generally pretty good. Don't even think about using the online scheduling platform as that goes out about two months and they are already booked well past that. I like 90 minute massages which are difficult to schedule if you work during the week. Also, if you have appointments scheduled and that therapists leaves, or is sick, they simply cancel on you and do not appear to make any attempt to get someone to fill in. read more

Hands down, my experience was top notch. From the time I walked in they offered me a warm neck towel to instantly start relieving the tension. I started my ME contract in Aug '20 and was able to get into the clinic on a fairly regular basis through November. I started having issues getting in for massages and decided to try facials to use up my monthly points. The facial wasn't worth it so I kept trying to book for massage. I emailed several times letting them know I use massage to relieve muscle pain from working out so I wasn't able to book out in advance that I needed to be able to book as needed monthly. That's when the troubles began. It was literally a six week time frame to be able to book. Basically I couldn't get in and if I did it was more for a leisure massage. Nobody that had firm pressure was available. I decided to cancel my account after my year and was told I would lose them in October. I feel like this is fraudulent and shame on ME. Hire more staff if you need to but you can't charge someone for something you can't provide. I made a complaint on BBB and she replied with that I wasn't easy to get ahold of. She has my email and I like paper trails when dealing with issues. I have also talked to her on the phone and she is aware and even advised me she was short staffed. I am understanding that its due to covid but if you can't get me in then you shouldn't bill me or be more accommodating when canceling a service due to your lack of employees. You're better off buying them as you can get booked. read more

I have been receiving massages from Elizabeth for roughly four years. She is incredibly skilled in craniosacral so she schedules out over a month in advance. The bathrooms are clean, the waiting room has ambient lights and a water cooler but not a mini waterfall feature as is found in other massage establishments. The front staff is very professional and answers the phone in a super sweet manner bordering on saccharine. This company offers a monthly membership which is still on the high side. Two years ago they offered a valentine's day special so you get an extra half hour when you purchase an hour. I'm pretty disappointed they will not renew that special. read more

Well, this post should start from yesterday when my appointment was originally booked for but was canceled as one of the receptionists didn't know their own policy, so I drove 45 mins to be turned away as my massage appointment had been given away. The receptionist actually told me "BUMMER" in a snooty sarcastic voice. I'm a full time student, so driving all this way gets pretty expensive when I don't have a job. The manager then called my mom (who had transferred her points to me) to try to make things right and offered me a new appointment time for my facial and massage. I get there and am told that I've been upgraded to a chemical peel and it would only cost $10 to transfer one more point, ok cool, ten bucks no problem. Oh there was a problem. The chemical peel is actually 2 points so it was an additional $40, on top of $40 for the "complimentary" after care package for the chemical peel and then ANOTHER $40 because apparently now all of the sudden the appointment that I had previously all taken care of was now short. So now I've taken TWO 45 min drives to Redmond, spent over $100 on services that I was told the day before were taken care of. I don't know who the heck is running this place, but I do know this place is shady, and some of their front desk doesn't know about customer service. So what was supposed to be a treat from my mother for helping her, turned into me having to drive over 2 hours, and cost me over $100 WTH! While on vacation in Redmond in Aug 2016 I was in need of a sports therapy massage to work on an area of my lower back/glute/IT band that had become chronically sore from overuse in figure skating. The receptionist recommend Rus who turned out to know just how to work on the area. He elevated my hip with a pillow and applied just the right pressure. Often a sports type massage results in so much pressure it's hard to endure, but this was not the case with Rus who applied only enough pressure to be very effective. He was so good that I returned the next week for another amazing session. I've been a Massage Envy member for 14 years and have had massages in many locations in Arizona and Washington state. Rus is my favorite masseuse of all time and I will return if I'm in the area again. read more

I received a massage for a birthday gift and ended up signing up for the membership. The massage I first had was amazing, relaxing, quiet. It was simply perfect and I loved my massage therapist. It turns out he is one of the most popular so I had a tough time getting into seeing him again. No problem though because I found two others therapists, Summer and Jen, who both ended up leaving. After that I felt like everyone I was getting was new, inexperienced or too chatty. Plus, if you get a room anywhere next to the teriayki restaurant you will hear food being chopped and water running the entire time. It makes it very hard to relax. Pros-lots of therapists, wide range of hours, easy to park and good location Price-Seems expensive for the quality, inexperienced therapists, loud It was kind of a pain to cancel my membership too. I've been to this clinic twice now and have had 2 amazing 60 minute massages! The masseuses are great at what they do and I've always felt extremely comfortable when receiving a massage. In addition to a great massage, the customer service personnel are so helpful, professional, and compassionate. Recently, I purchased a gift card for my sister. Somehow the post office lost my mail and my sister never received her card. I decided to check with Massage Envy to see if they could help me. They went out of there way to resolve MY problem. There's some great therapists here, I've been about 5 times. The staff is incredibly nice and will make sure you feel at home. They must make a bonus on the membership plans because they sell them pretty hard. I would be about as persistent with a financial incentive. The only reason I won't do another membership is because you get used to a therapist and then they may relocate. I want to say that if you get Ruce, you'll be well taken care of! In comparison to other massage envy locations this one of okay. ( California , Scottsdale AZ , Atlanta locations ) I'm a member here as of last Dec. Nina did my first massage and I have recently switched to Joy which I'm excited about ! My husband recommended her & I'm glad he did. It was the most relaxing 80 minutes ever. No huffing or puffing as she moved around. She was extremely knowledgable & able to adjust the pressure as needed. I was in the front room for the first time & it was a bit noisy you could hear doors shutting and the desk staff laughing loudly which was frustrating. It snaps you back to reality which is a bummer in the middle of a relaxing massage. Next time I will ask not to be at the front. The only other con is we have often had miscommunications at this location, not sure why. We were charged on my card instead of my husbands which wasn't a huge deal we just couldn't figure out how my card was on file at all. I usually go to the Bellevue Massage Envy, but they were all booked that day. They were very accommodating as I was running late. I was extremely reluctant to go get massage not because of concerns of price but because of my PTSD. I do not like being touched especially by somebody that I am not familiar with. When I showed up for my appointment the girls at the front counter were very friendly and nice. They set me up with a massage professional and we spoke for a few minutes so she could understand my problem areas. She focused an entire hour on my back which was my area of concern. She and I spoke almost the entire time which made me feel more comfortable. The massage was AMAZING!! She even put BioFreeze on my problem area. That was incredible as well. I have signed up for a membership and have now had two massages and things couldn't be better. My back pain is going away, the massages are amazing and the Massage Therapist I'm sticking with was very nice and helped me get over my issue of getting a massage. I have been coming to Massage Envy for a few years now. I look forward to my regular massages as it helps me deal with a lot of health problems that I could not find relief with before. The monthly membership helps me keep regular visits scheduled and it is affordable and flexible. I found a few therapists that I regularly schedule with. The front desk, management, therapists and estheticians are very professional and understand my needs. I love the Murad products they use for the facials and have my own home care regimen now. Sometimes when I want to treat myself I will do a sugar foot scrub and aromatherapy to leave feeling refreshed. If I'm in a lot of pain, I do the deep muscle therapy...I love the hot towels and BIO FREEZE! read more

$39 for an hour massage is an amazing deal. Even if the massage kinda blows, it's still worth the money. The waiting room is dark and cozy and peaceful. After some quick paperwork, I had to wait about 15 minutes for my massage therapist to come and get me. "A" was nice and quiet, which I appreciate when getting a massage. The only time she talked to me directly was to ask me if the pressure was too firm. It was, and I asked her to tone it down a little. She did for a few minutes, then went back to her extra firm ways. The massage was nice, nothing special. I have had worse, and I've had MUCH better. After the massage came the worst part. The receptionist asked me if I wanted to join as a member. I said no, I would have to talk to my boyfriend about it, since he is the breadwinner in the house. She proceeded to try to convince me, then got another receptionist in the game. After 10 minutes, I gave in and signed a contract for 1 year at $59/mo. for 1 massage a month. They said I had 3 days to cancel. I had an evening massage scheduled. Day of the massage I was experiencing a headache. I received a COVID health questionnaire where a headache was clearly listed as something they wanted to know about. I called to cancel my appointment. I didn't want to take any chances. I thought I was being a responsible customer. I reached a recording and instructions to text a number. I received a call back almost immediately from an employee at the location stating that a headache was not a reason to cancel my massage appointment and that I would be charged for the massage. I asked her why a headache was included on the health questionnaire then? The employee actually told me a headache wasn't a symptom of COVID and not a reason to cancel. I asked to speak to her Manager or the Owner. The employee called me back a few minutes later saying that she spoke to the Assistant Manager and that there was no flexibility when it came to the cancellation policy and that I would be charged for the massage. I think they need to make some revisions to their cancellation policy based on the current health crisis. I don't write Yelp reviews very often but I can't believe a service based company like Massage Envy would put employees and other customers at potential risk. We are canceling our membership because of the inconsistency of the massage therapists. Some are good, some horrible. The scheduling is a pain, the membership is a pain, and canceling has been even worse and not managed well or professionally even when we followed the terms of the contract. If you want a massage, find a good therapist and use them without a messy membership or obligation. There isn't even a cost savings! read more

Massage Envy takes a lot of heat as the McDonalds of massage. In the past I have had some bumpy experiences with them. But now the Redmond location is running quite well, and I've been a member for a few years. The front desk staff is uniformly helpful. If I need deep tissue work, I ask for Jessy. She is amazing and is not afraid to really get in there and work those problem areas. If I'm looking for a easier relaxation massage, I'll just say what time I'm looking for and they'll find someone. I will occasionally work with someone who is "meh" and will make a mental note and avoid that therapist. However, it's been a long time since I've had a massage that I'd rate as a disaster or even unpleasant. A couple things to keep in mind- many therapists start their career here, so keep an open mind. If you want a consistent experience, ask for the same therapist each time. If you are a little more adventurous, then take a chance. And two, if you are signing up for a membership, read the fine print. Yes there are conditions but it's like any contract. To me, the financial benefit is worth it. I will also note that the hot stone massage needs a little work, it's not up to par yet. Finally, do be prepared for the fact that there is turnover at this place so your favorite therapist may move along. It's the nature of the beast. read more

I called and told I needed to schedule a massage - without even asking what type of massage or gender preference I had she started listing off males that were available. I then told her that I preferred females. She then listed off females and we found a time that worked and she immediately asked for a card number. I asked what the massage therapist focus was and she said relaxation and has a lighter touch. I told her that I wanted deep tissue. She then asked if she could place me on hold and placed me on hold for 3 minutes so I hung up. The entire experience was wonderful. From when I came in the folks there were very kind and friendly and they had a first time rate which was nice.
