Came here to relieve some holiday stress. Not the actual "spa experience" I anticipated. Walk in and it reminded me of a dental reception area. People loud, receipts actually trying to sell you on your next message as park of a membership. They called my name and I was lead back to my room and there was advertising on a little card on the massage table??? What the heck are you suppose to do with that....I had to remove it and place it on the floor prior to me getting on the table??? There was a rob, but not sure why?? Do they have showers? NO one veered offered me one nor did they tell there was one. The walls in the room I was in were so thin I could here everything outside my room. NOT RELAXING AT ALL. My chin was hitting a metal bar in the headrest, I asked the gal giving me a massage and she adjusted it a bit but the cloth just continued to pulled away...it was very uncomfortable for a minute let alone an hour:( My massage theripist was nice an did a good job. The warm sheets were very nice! Only other odd thing was when I was on my back she never put anything over my eyes. I have never had that happen before. I booked a 90 minute massage but only got a 60 minute. The massage therapist showed up 5 minutes late. He was overly chatty at the beginning and during the massage. Really unprofessional. He told me had PTSD many times. He talked so much about himself he didn't even realize I booked a 90 min appointment and ended it at 60 minutes. Which, in the end, worked for me because I wanted to get out of there asap. I didn't relax or enjoy the session at all. Message therapy should 100% be about the clients needs. I have hundreds of dollars of credit with them and have cancelled my membership as I just can't get an appointment when I need one. They just called to cancel an appointment I made in November on the day of the appointment, the next available appointment for my schedule (I have a job) is Friday April 22nd and today is March 11th. I would give a negative number if I could. I was a member here paying monthly dues for 2-3 years now, but cancelled my membership today after a horrific encounter with Shanna Chaffee. When Shanna came to the waiting area to greet me she was 10mins late. I asked her as we were walking to the room if we would add 15mins to the massage (as that would be approximate time we'd start the massage after I got on the bed). She snapped at me and said "NO" as we walked to the room. I said "Okay" and took my coat off. She slammed the door loud enough that I immediately turned around. Clearly hostile I was not about to have her project that energy onto me - let alone touch me. As I walked to the front desk I heard her shouting in the employee area "Fuck this, I've had it with this shit....I can't believe...." I opened the door and said "I can hear you." When I got to the front desk I was so upset I started crying, this is not the therapeutic healing I needed. Shanna opened the door and started yelling at me again - as if she didn't get enough out. Completely uncalled for. Last year a different massage therapist (Song) was using her cell phone instead of massaging me. I had to ask her kindly to continue. Can you imagine that? Anyway - I cancelled my membership this morning after my interaction with Shanna's crazy ass. Life is too short. My recommendation - Go somewhere peaceful (and more affordable) there are plenty of options out there! No one will pay to be treated like this. read more

I spent 10 minutes filling out paperwork for the massage therapist, but she didn't even look at the paperwork I also didn't like the atmosphere, it was pretty dingy and I didn't get my aromatherapy that I requested. Sure, he had a few decent massages over the years... when they actually happened. But making an appointment and then waiting for the cancellation call is not working for us. Maybe we were just the unlucky ones; I understand people/therapists get sick sometimes too, but Elements has no action plan for that scenario- they just cancel on you. Why not have back-up/on-call therapists? You might then be able to serve the clientele in a reliable manner. We complained after the third cancellation, getting nothing more than 'sorry' from management. Decided to try again and now the fourth cancellation. So we are done. read more

Such mixed feelings...I had a GREAT therapist this week and wanted to communicate with her about future plans for my health. But the manager refused to connect me with her, saying it was their "policy." But I had consented to share my email with the therapist, so what reason could there by for keeping us apart, other than financial control of the situation? A postscript: after I asked about the policy, I got an email from the manager, Siouxie Jeter-Koch, who wrote this in reply: "For clients, as part of the Terms & Conditions, clients agree to a No Solicitation Policy - where they agree not to solicit, recruit or encourage the provision of services outside the studio. I have attached your signed client intake, where you can review all of our terms and conditions." I was so shocked by the outrageous and utterly unfounded idea that I was trying to steal business from them that I will NEVER go to this establishment again. You might be lucky enough to get someone that will not only do a terrible job but in the end ruin your relationship with the location. The end situation could not have been handled more poorly. I have had quite a few good massages here (Keely and Ivy) and some not so great. The issue I have with this business is their constant attempt to sell you longer massages. Every time I try to sign up for a 55 minute massage, I get an email telling me that 'the only massage they can book that day is a 90 minute session.' This is even though the therapist's schedule was fully open for a few hours. I also let them know I would be using a gift certificate. No issues with any of that. Today, I arrived early enough to get the first-time paperwork done, The waiting area was nicely appointed & spa-like. Not overly fancy or large, but certainly not spartan. Not, as another reviewer characterized it, like a dentist's office. It felt like a reception area in a spa or salon. My therapist, Rachel, arrived on time and showed me to the room. Once I was ready, she returned and asked me a few questions to ensure that I was comfortable on the massage table and with her approach. What ensued was a very good, relaxing massage with just the level of intensity that was discussed. I paid with a gift certificate and cash gratuity. It was very straightforward. They have a monthly wellness program, which the person at the front desk overviewed for me. It seems to be a pretty good program, which offers a significant discount, as well as other benefits, to those who are interested in regular monthly massages. There was no undue pressure to sign up. I didn't choose to in the moment, but it's a good enough deal that it's worth consideration. Over all, this was an excellent, pleasant experience. I won't go into detail about what happened or what they did to make up for it. What I want to say is that Jay, the General Manager of the Issaquah Elements Massage went way above and beyond what was necessary to bring us back. She returned my call when she said she would. She listened to my complaint without interrupting or me or making excuses, and she resolved the issue creatively, politely, generously, and professionally. The environment is very inviting. Mackenzie (who's smiling happy face you'll see first at the front desk) is very sweet, friendly, and professional. It isn't just the office itself that makes a place inviting...it's the people in it that make a place inviting and Mackenzie really does do a great job of inviting you in and making you feel welcome. This location is prompt with their schedule, so if you have an appointment, no worries of them running late. The entire office is clean and beautiful. "Hope" was the therapist I had and she is AMAZING!! I can't recommend her enough! She did a soft tissue massage on me that was so relaxing which is something we all need from time to time. Hope is very professional and my goodness she has the most soothing voice I've ever heard in my entire life! It was the icing on the cake of my relaxation experience. The room in which I had the massage had dim lighting and soft music playing. Hope made sure I was comfortable at all times and was very accommodating to ensure I remained comfortable throughout the massage. Every little detail about my experience in the office (especially my massage) was wonderful! I definitely recommend Hope as a massage therapist to anyone and I recommend Elements Massage in Issaquah for sure! While I won't be returning because the penalty of a missed appointment remains intact for members and walk-ins alike, the owner was very receptive to discussing the matter, and making me whole. Called to reschedule my appointment this morning for the following day and was notified that I had all ready been charged a $50 cancellation fee! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! The service itself is only a $79 fee. The text message I received a day prior mentioned a fee may apply if a cancelation is made but mentions nothing of it being $50. DO NOT GIVE THIS LOCATION YOUR BUSINESS. I was treated rudely and spoken to very condescendingly by Andrea the front desk assistant who answered the phone. She did not even attempt to reschedule my appointment but rather made me feel that my business was not important and that I was an idiot for not know that the fee was $50.
