I came here like 4 months ago for the first time and i made my appointment 3 weeks in advance so i was very excited when it was time to go. I checked in everyone was so nice, and i filled out the medical form and when the girl came over to go over it looked that i marked i was pregnant asked me how far a long i was and at that point i had just found out like 2 weeks ago. She panicked and said she would bring a manager over since we were going to be unable to perform the massage. The manager came over i believe her name was Stefany and she was very polite sat down next to me and explained how they did have pregnancy massages they just don't perform them until past the first trimester then she called over my scheduled therapist to explain the contradictions if we were to do it today. She offered to have me back at a member rate instead of the intro rate since to my surprise was $10 off! i felt so cared for that they cared for my health and my baby not just to get their money and run. I came back last week and had the most amazing prenatal massage from Alicia. I defiantly recommend this place, they have great programs for massage lovers, and i felt cared for. oh and my husband had Tiffany Mary and he said she was one of the best he has ever had. read more

First, let me say that Felix is wrong when he claims he "had to prepay this amount right now" for the membership. This is not true! The membership program is something that you pay for monthly, in the form of an EFT, or electric funds transfer. You just put it on your credit card or a debit card and it comes out automatically each month. There is no time that you have to "prepay" for the entire membership up front unless you choose to do so! I think Felix was a little confused. Massage Envy is great, just because one therapist might have just grabbed a bite to eat in between massages to keep up there energy & their breath wasn't up to par, doesn't mean the entire experience is ruined... Not to mention the fact that you can just go to a different therapist the next time! This place has a nice look and feel, it's affordable, and the massages are great. Salespeople or not, the front desk girls are still nice and not to mention really good looking. I won't be cancelling my membership anytime soon!!! ;-) read more

I am giving this one star only because there is not an option for 0 stars. Massage Envy is a total rip off. I received a gift card got a massage and it was so so. When I was done I got talked into one of their memberships, which I never used. I tried to call and cancel it the next day, but was told since I signed the contact, I could not cancel. So I paid the $60.00 a month, for 6 months. As soon as the sixth month hit I called to cancel. They told me they needed it in writing and I needed to fill out a form and she would email it to me.. no email. Another month goes by and they charge me again. I went in to sign the form to cancel. Yes done I think, but next month they charge me again.. I called to find out why they charged my card again. I was told they didn't not have a cancellation form. I told her I came in and filled it out. So I did the next best thing. Charged back my credit card. I would not recommend this place to my friends or family, heck not even my worst enemy. read more

I'm new to massage but have been reading about its health benefits. I've had my gift card since Mother's Day last year and was always self conscious about letting someone massage me. When I finally got the courage I wanted to make the appointment ASAP so that I wouldn't let another several months go by. I was a little nervous about the masseur being a male but Charles was extremely professional and I felt entirely comfortable the entire time. He was quiet, like I asked for but would check in with me every now and then to make sure he was meeting my requests. He got out knots I didn't even know I had. Regarding the review written by Roxanne I absolutely disagree. Massage Envy Santee is one of the best clinics I have ever been to. All of their therapists are so respectful and courteous to my needs. And the front desk associates are so welcoming and pleasant, not to mention they are smart and beautiful. I decided to become a member at the Santee location because it never disappoints me. I did get a chance to meet the owner Doug and he is just a wonderful man. He is very knowledgable about the buisness and good-humored. I think that Roxanne women is out of her mind. Carrie was great - during my prenatal massage she did everything possible to ensure that i was comfortable and to make sure that she was focusing on my sensitive areas as I asked. She even went over the top to have me sit up at the end of my massage and really get into my shoulders - it was FANTASTIC. I usually have Carly do my massage's for me, however, because she was off the day i wanted to come in, i was scheduled with Carrie - i would def request her again! read more

I took my daughter in for a massage at Massage Envy today in Santee, CA. she is going back to College. I was fortunate to get an appointment for a Facial while I waited for her. I will never return to this or any other Massage Envy Location. It was literally one of the worst experiences of my life. My "therapist" was a very intimidating looking bald man who reeked of booze and the massage he tried to give me was not regulation. I have recieved a few massages from other place but no one has ever made me feel like i was being fondled before. I am consitering pressing charges read more

I prefer a massage place that has showers.. but for 49 bucks... I think it is worth the try.. but seriously, when you have experienced something really great somewhere magical.. maybe its better to just save your $$$$ and go back there... if you want something meh- and you are not shooting for the stars.. this place is okay. read more

I give them 3 out of 5 cause they were okay, nothing great, and not worth the membership in my opinion!
