Tried to call to make a same day appointment and was immediately put on hold for some time. When the lady came back she asked what time I wanted to come in, which sounded hopeful. I asked for first available and then she asked if I was a member, which I am not yet. She then said "Oh well I'm sorry, we just booked our last appointment". I went in a while back and had a great experience. They called me and offered me a discount massage if I came back in, so I did. Afterwards, they tried to sell me the membership. The benefits sounded good and I was about to sign a contract until I found out you literally can NOT cancel your membership unless you have a doctors note or move 25 miles away from one of their locations (only freeze your account for a maximum of 6 months). Once I heard this, I apologized and told them I could not commit to this. The manager who was nearby was incredibly short with me and rude. I didn't say I was never going to come in again, I just don't want a membership. The next day I called back because I received a "welcome to your membership" and wanted to clarify that she did not sign me up. I was polite the whole time, but once again the manager was incredibly short and did not end the conversation with a good-bye, or thanks for calling, just a hang up. 5 stars, hands down! I love how I can get regular massage for affordable prices by amazing therapists. I signed up thinking I was only going to get work done on my back, but a therapist suggested I get more glute work done and it changed my LB pain. I read that it's hard to get booked but I haven't experienced that. The front desk has made amazing suggestions on therapists, so I haven't had a bad massage yet thanks to them. All the staff is wonderful. The front desk always welcoming and accommodating. And the therapists are always personably professional. I have gotten to speak with the managers too and they are both wonderfully accommodating as well. I won't go to another massage envy because the service here is always superb! Today I called for a massage and booked one within two hours of calling. I just needed some time to relax, some attention on me and some relief from stress in my neck and shoulders. I had Julie as my practitioner. We started what would have been a very traditional and relaxing massage but I had so much congestion she had me turn on my back and for the next 60 minutes she worked on my neck and shoulders. She asked if I wanted any additional areas but what she was doing on my neck was so relaxing I really didn't want anything else. I have been struggling with allergies the last few days and the focused attention brought tremendous relief. Julie is fantastic. I was asked about memberships and given a thorough introduction to their business model by Jenna at the desk. I can't see myself signing up for a membership but I will be calling to get a massage from Julie again. I also purchased some collagen cream from Murad as I left, Jenna helped me with that decision - put it on - that stuff works! I went to work relaxed and my face was radiating both from the massage and the cream. read more

She was so incredibly helpful and helped connect me to a therapist who would meet my needs. Horrid first experience! Needed a massage and have seen Massage Envy places for some time now so thought I would look them up online and see what was available. I found appointments and thought I scheduled one. Well it seems that this is "Only a Request Appointment". How does a company this size not have the ability to make appointments online?! The nice lady at the front desk said it was for an appointment request and someone needed to call you back. Firstly, I made it online yesterday afternoon. They are open until 10pm and open at 8am. Why did I not get an immediate call back? I know a couple other smaller local places and they have no issue with online appointment scheduling. A newer company with an archaic online website in one of the top tech cities of the country..... Even though the lady was nice enough to apologize and give another option, it still leaves a bitter taste to take time out of my schedule to go someplace believing I had an appointment only to be told sorry. read more

Beware, this clinic does not care about patients. The common response to any complaint or negative review is to contact the clinic, too bad when I do that I never receive the requested call back from the owner or manager. Terrible customer service. read more

This company is very difficult to deal with. One of their therapist left me in so much pain I need to go to the chiropractor the next day. I wanted to cancel my membership because they turned out so awful and they did nothing but give me the run around. I ended up having to cancel my credit card. I signed up for a membership at the Queen Anne location, but this incident happened at the Kirkland location. The two location seem to be working against me. They also sell you on being able to use your membership services at any location when you sign up, but going to a different location did not turn out well. I had a number of unused massages and I asked for my money back. I also wanted them to write me a check, because I had to cancel my credit card. They offered me a fraction of what they actually owed me and refused to write me a check. Not impressed. read more

If the Queen Anne Massage Envy honored my booked appointment time, I would be able to review their service, but they failed to do so, therefore my review is based on their customer service. I received a gift certificate for a 60 minute massage at Massage Envy and called yesterday to book my appointment. Originally when I called the Queen Anne spa, they offered me a 90 minute appointment starting at 5pm today. I said that the earliest I could get to the spa after work was 5:30 so I asked to book a 60 min massage starting at 5:30 instead. The receptionist confirmed my appointment and my gift certificate card number and today, at 5:15, I received a phone call while I was parking my car outside the spa, telling me that I had missed my 5:00 massage appointment and that they could no longer accommodate me. They said I could come back at 7pm, and when I said that I was certain that I had a 5:30pm appointment, I was told 'no sorry, we have 5pm written down.' I've never experienced such unapologetic service at a spa before and they have lost a potential client because It is unlikely that I will consider purchasing a 'subscription' or membership from Massage Envy in the future. read more

I had a coupon which made this massage about equal in price to the independent gal, recently retired, whom I have been getting massages from for years. l'll admit that the massage itself was pure bliss. The room was cozy, darkened and very clean. The music was relaxing. The pressure was perfect. Everything was perfect. I paid for an hour and a half and the actual massage was more like an hour ten, which was disappointing. But I felt relaxed and noodley when I left the room ... UNTIL I got hit with the hard sell at the front desk. They wanted me to commit to a monthly package. I was surely not in the mood to evaluate the "deal" she was proposing, plus I NEVER commit to anything under such pressure. But she kept at it. I left there feeling upset and tense and in need of another massage! I will not go back. (Besides which, even with their monthly package, their massages are more expensive than you can find elsewhere.) read more

This place is the worst. From the obnoxious "script" you have to listen to when you call and when you walk in the door, it's like talking to a robot. I also love how one of the receptionists takes your "medical history" in the waiting room, in front of everyone else who is waiting. clearly they have never heard of HIPAA and the confidentiality of personal health information. and remind me why i need to review my personal health history and massage issues with the receptionist? i bought a year membership and over the course, found only one therapist who i would go back to. also beware if you buy a membership, what they don't tell you is that you have only 30 days from the date of cancelation to use up all of your accrued massages, and you can only gift a massage to the same person once every six months. i have been to the ME studio on Capitol Hill and have had a much better experience there. did i mention that this place is the worst? read more
