Everyone is friendly. I enjoy my massage therapist BUT my only complaint is they cancel massages often last minute. If the customer cancels within 24 hours they're quick to charge you but if they cancel within 24 hours we (customers) must accommodate. I've been a loyal client of theirs for over 15 years, I scheduled a massage for myself and bringing a friend. THEY canceled the massage the same day, and are refusing to refund me. Have called multiple times trying to discuss with the manager and she's always "busy". Extremely dishonest. Unfortunately they have been struggling for years to keep employees, managers and customers and this is a perfect example as to why. I highly recommend Coleman, his style is great I feel Relaxed afterwards and less tense. He starts off with compression, than works out areas that need attention. I like that he stretches my limbs out while massaging, it just feels like things relax better and opens the joints easier to get a deep tissue massage and recovery is less intense afterwards. Signed up for Massage Envy membership for convenience and consistent self-care. Promised unused massages would carry over and online scheduling would be easy. Both were false. Online scheduling never worked. Travel prevented me from using some months, resulting in unused credits. When my card was stolen, I was initially told I could use my credits. Then, the manager denied the appointment, claiming my membership wasn't 'in good standing' despite unused credits. They refused to use those prepaid credits to pay therapists. Tried to cancel, but they wouldn't let me use my accumulated credits. Essentially, they kept my money for services I never received. Avoid Massage Envy. read more

I booked a 90 minute massage and added on the aromatherapy: I was not even the room for 90 minutes, let alone massaged for 90 minutes; the $12 aromatherapy add- on was Coleman (the masseuse) holding the bottle under my nose and instructing me to take a few deep breaths. I have gone to Massage Envy for years, multiple locations. Unfortunately, my massage with Alex at this location was the worst by far. He seemed inexperienced and the massage was not relaxing at all and at some points even were uncomfortable. It was not cohesive from one side to another and he didn't even know how to adjust the sheet in order to massage each body part on full. I will likely return to Massage Envy, however, I plan to select a different masseuse. read more

When you make an appointment for services, it's because you are in need. You are expected to, obviously, make an appointment for these services. You then are expected to keep that appointment or call to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before that appointment, or you will be charged (deducted from prepaid credits). Now, them, on the other hand, can call you 1 hr before the appointment and cancel with no repercussions. Hmmm, it doesn't seem right. The customer should not be made to feel like they are inconveniencing them when they are the one canceling. I was told the "technician have a life too!!" We are aware that everyone has a life outside of work, but again, it's not the customers' fault that you are not able to manage the appointment schedule with your staff. And it certainly should not become the customers' problem. This did not just happen one time. I certainly understand emergency reasons. This was on more than one occasion, and some of the front counter staff members do not know proper customer service to handle and should be properly trained. Ended up canceling my membership. I was told that I only have 30 days to use any credits on file or they would go away. Let's not forget that they are already paid for, and they did the canceling of appointments throughout the 1 year prepaid membership. So now I have to quickly use up those credits and hope there are no additional cancelations. I will be doing those services at another location that I ended up having to go to so that I could actually get the services I made appointments for. read more

Massage Therapist Review: Jesse I had the best 90 min. massage with Jesse. I recently started working out 3x a week so I really needed a massage; Jesse was able to customize my massage based on my needs, he really dug into those tight muscles! Don't be fooled by his size, he's pretty strong. He started off with firm pressure to loosen up the muscles then ended with a light relaxing massage. I can tell Jesse is very knowledgeable about muscle/body anatomy & is passionate about really helping you feel better. I felt so much better after his massage, like I was floating on air, & the next morning I woke up with no pain! It's a 10/10 for me! I would definitely recommend Jesse for any type of massage! When you make appointment for a massage it's because you need that appointment for reasons. But if you can for a urgent matter you still pay. You pay with the credits you earn. Now if Massage Envy calls and cancels 30 minutes before your appointment that's ok. This is so flipping one sided. This location has canceled more often than NONE. Very first time at this location and had an awful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was not even greeted. I had to start the conversation with a "Good Afternoon". Then I checked in and took a seat. I was never asked to fill anything out asking about the areas I wanted focused on. Once I was called back by the massage therapist, she took me to the room and told me to get dressed in the robe and she would be back. I was keeping my eye on the clock and noted what time she officially started my massage. In total, my massage was cut short and lasted 45 minutes. On top of that, she was a terrible masseuse and didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. I have been getting massages elsewhere for months and this is the first time I've ever experienced an awful massage. My Daughter is deployed in the Middle East and she sent me an electronic gift card for my Birthday. I had trouble booking online so I went in to make an appointment. The receptionist made me an appointment for the following week and let me know I would owe $2.34. I returned the following week and had a mediocre facial by Leslie.(she basically tickled my face for an hour in a half) not the best facial. I went to check out and the receptionist said I owed $100 and only had $2.34 on the gift card. I said no that's reversed. I owe the $2.34,she went to get Hope the manager. Hope came out and said I need you to pull up the gift card and email to me. I finally found it and sent to her,she didn't want to admit she and her staff were wrong so she was EXTREMELY RUDE to me accusing me of who knows what?? I knew my gift card had $100.00 on it. I stayed calm and said this half's been a bad experience. She said who cares,get out I am in complete shock. And to top it off she pocketed the tip I left for the aesthetician! I had booked a massage with massage envy 3 weeks in advance. Upon my arrival of showing up to my appointment, I was not provided with a therapist that I felt comfortable with touching my body. I did not go into that massage, I respectfully went up and expressed this to the front desk privately that I as the client would be more comfortable with a different therapist. The front desk booked me for a later appointment time with a different therapist. 15min before that later appointment I got a call stating they were going to charge me for the full first appointment that I never received and mark me as a " no call now show ". Which is false because I did show up for my first appointment, and I do not see anywhere in their " rules " if you show up and are uncomfortable with the person who will be touching your body that you will still be charged for a full appointment. They told me if I wanted to come back , to see a different therapist that I would need to pay for both massages full price. Which is absolutley unfair to me as a paying customer. I feel as though this company does not value my safety or concerns and they absolutley took my money without batting an eye. I will not be returning my service to this establishment. The manager was made aware of the situation and did not try and make this right in any matter. They just took our money and did not seem to care what so ever about my comfort level. Which as a " professional "establishment which involves someone's body being touched, seems very inappropriate and inconsiderate. My husband went in the next day to talk face to face with the manager, where they dismissed all of our concerns and further pointed out how they do not care if they assign a therapist to you, you have no choice in switching. Today 6/8/24 my husband showed up for a 9 am hour long massage. He got to the business with people standing outside. Apparently the manager with door key was running 5-10 minutes late. A gentleman employee told him don't worry your massage will not be cut short. My husband ended up waiting 1 hour 15 minutes. Once inside he was told sorry you will not get your massage today because they are now backed up and have more appointments coming. My husband saw one other customer there that had been waiting as well for 9 o'clock appointment. No one else was walking in for 10 o'clock appointments. He was told he would get a free massage at $65. The basic massage is $75 plus we had an add on for $15. Next available is next Sunday at 3 pm. The unacceptable parts of this experience is being told to wait and then not to be seen! We will never go here again! read more

I want to start this out by giving a shout out to the most bad ass girls in this establishment before I fall into my massage induced comfy coma; Nicks and Hailey. For one of my holiday presents that I recieved was a 6 month membership to Massage Envy; as a massage whore like myself of course anything involving a rub down I'm game af. I wasnt honestly expecting much since I havnt dont massages outside the overpriced casino resort spas; damn was my expectations hella wrong. My experience started over the phone with delightful Nicks; if it wasnt obvious enough with my stammering and nervous tone, I had absolutely no idea how to claim my membership and how to get a free massage from said membership. Nicks was so nice helping me get my name into the system, claiming my membership through my mothers account, and even getting me into a massage THAT NIGHT. My appointment was at 8 so of course like a loser I got there arouns 7:30. Nicks was there (thank god) to walk me through the process of the massage charts/sheets I had to fill in; tap the parts of the body I needed work on, if I had any allergies, injuries, etc etc. Nicks then informed me that if I checked in on Yelp (which of course I will) I could get a free hand scrub treatment or a Pro.....something i forgot what the damn thing was called but I got it. I was offered water and a seat in the quiet area (my only semi complaint: please get comfier chairs!) So i had a good amount of time to silence my phone and read my book. Hailey came and got me with a sweet greeting and took me down some hallways until we got to her room. She went over my massage forms to ensure everything was correct before informing me that the pro(enter the rest of the gd word here) would be done during the first 10 minutes of the session before I remove my clothes before pulling out this hitachi want from hell asking where I wanted it used. I said upper back and shoulders; of there is ANY extra thing to get PLEASE get the pro thing because hot damn did that thing vibrate my muscles to mf pudding. Once the foreplay was done I was asked to strip down to what I was comfortable removing then let her know when I was ready. Normally I would go full comando but since she was only going to do my back I figured I could keep the panties on. I had told her I would like deep tissue since I inherited my dads monsterous wrestler/quarterback body type (proud of it but its hard to get a good massage), and holy fuck did Hailey deliver and boy was I shocked. Not that I assumed she couldnt give a deep massage but most people dont really give them in fear of hurting clients; Hailey beat the ever loving hell out of my stubborn muscles with the grace and force of a mf waterfall. Dont EVER get in a fight with her her elbows will gd destroy you. For someone who loves pain furing a massage she was ALMOST too hard for me, it was amazing. Throughout the massage Hailey made sure to check on me to ensure she wasnt going too hard, almost tapped out but Danny aint no pussy so I toughed it out. The last ten minutes I was flipped onto my back then worked on my neck more before finishing with a delightful scalp massage thay made me almost damn near lose it; truly one of the most satisfying massages I have recieved. Practically floating out of the room after getting dressed and escorted back to the lobby Hailey recomended me to come back in a week or two to keep my muscles loose because she felt how bad my muscles were feeling. Once Hailey left Nicks asked how it went, then informed me of other procedures they offer, member benefits and discount which I will certainly be using. And here I am at home soaking in an epson salt bath to really keep in the good handy work that was provided to me. I will find out how much memberships are, but with already having one all I paid for was the 20 dollar tip I gave Hailey. That is fucking fantastic. I do only get 1 free 1 hour massage a month but I only pay 45 bucks for any extra massages I want to get between now and the next month. The front desk gals were very nice and welcoming. The salon is well kept and nice. However, I left in more pain than I came in which lasted a little over a week. The masseuse was doing some (I think) release technic on my lower back because it was tight. However, he triggered sciatica nerve pain which caused soreness and a burning sensation that last over a week. I had to ask him to ease up on whatever he was doing to my lower back. He also ended 5 mins early which kind of sucked because I had lost 20 minutes for being 10 mins late and spent about 10 mins filling out paperwork and getting settled in. read more

I love my Massage Envy membership! I've been a member for almost 9 years. While some therapists are better than others when addressing my specific needs, I cannot say I've had a "bad" massage. With 3 locations within a reasonable drive from my home, I am almost always able to book an appointment at my desired time. Today I booked a 90 minute massage and a 60 minute facial right after and both were great. It's so convenient to have different massage options and facials all in one place at a reasonable price. I've seen so many people give bad reviews because their "60 minute massage was only 50 minutes." Obviously those individuals have never had a massage before because every place allows 10 minutes for consultation and dress. I've had hundreds of massages in different states, countries, resorts, and cruises and everyone of them has provided the 10 minutes as part of the massage. read more

I was spoiled with a couple's deep tissue massage this past weekend. My husband and I were walking around with tight shoulders and upper backs from our workout regimen. Our knots were getting worse by the day, and we needed to address it. I called around last minute on the weekend trying to schedule an appointment for both of us the very next day. Thankfully, Massage Envy was able to squeeze us in (they're open to 10 pm most days - which is fabulous for a hectic schedule like ours). Being that this was our first visit to Massage Envy, we were treated to their introductory rate of $55 per person for 60 mins (w/o tip). The facility was clean and updated upon arrival. The receptionists were welcoming at check-in. They kindly walked each of us through the forms we needed to complete (done on an iPad vs. paper), and we arrived 20 mins early as requested. Once we finished the questionnaires, we were escorted to their 'waiting room' where we enjoyed water and tea in a dimly lit waiting area with soothing music playing in the background. Our two therapists greeted us in the waiting room on time for our appointment. They showed us to our room at the end of the hall which was set up with two massage tables that were warmed. Once we were situated to start the massage, they reconfirmed our preferences to ensure they knew where and to where not massage (i.e., if you don't want them massaging your gluteal area/feet/face/scalp). They also wanted to know if we had any areas we wanted them to focus on. In our case, we both requested that they spend the entire 60 mins on our backs, shoulders and arms. During the massage, both of our therapists checked in to confirm that we were satisfied with the amount of pressure they were providing. We opted to have deep tissue (which is a bit more intense than a relaxing massage) to address our knots My husband and I were pleased with their approach and enjoyed every last drop of the 60-minute massages. We regretted not making an appointment earlier so we could've accommodated a more extended session. The overall ambiance and music were very relaxing, and we were very pleased with our session. Although we don't get massages as often as we'd like due to budget restraints, their membership options are very reasonable and worth considering. read more

The GM, named Hope, for this location is completely unprofessional and needs to take management and customer service classes! She just called me, regarding a transfer of credit issue that her staff did not apply from one account to another, and then she proceeded to blame me instead of being open to train her team. She told me that I was being disrespectful to suggest that her team needed to be trained on entering the notes when a customer calls to make the appt and wanted to transfer a credit. She basically called me a liar! Also, it is very difficult to get an appointment scheduled within 30 days. It appears they are short staffed and have yet to recover from the pandemic. We are canceling our memberships! Mario and Marissa Hawkins are the franchise owners and I highly recommend that the find a new GM or invest in some management courses. read more

My girlfriend and myself had a 60 minute appointment in a couples room and it was sensational. I'll give my half of the story When I first walked into the room my therapist (Jamel) asked if I was in for any thing specific, after letting him know of what ailments, we had be instructed to get undressed to my comfort level as the therapist left the room. Now the next 60 minutes were amazing. Based on what I had told Jamel prior, he was focusing on those parts. He was amazing. He was able to release knots I had in my rotator cuff, relax the tension I had in my traps, soothe the inflammation I had in my spinal erectors, as well as fix any imbalances I had in my back and legs. I ended up signing up for their month membership, and I will 100% request Jamel each time. He was caring, and knew what he was doing. I have been a member of this Massage Envy location for about 10 years. I have had some great massages, but some insanely terrible customer service experiences. The worst is that they've cancelled my Mother's Day massage ALL 3 years that I've scheduled one with them, and coincidentally all 3 years I've been a mom. 2018: An employee called and said my therapist had a stomach ache. When I asked who else was available they said it was too last minute. When I got frustrated, my male massage therapist called me out on my next appointment. I had postpartum depression and it was extremely uncomfortable to try to explain to a male therapist why I was so upset that he cancelled my only self-care time for me. I had to switch therapists to a female after that. 2019: My massage got cancelled because of the pandemic, which isn't totally their fault, but was still disappointing. 2020: I booked my Mother's Day massage back in January this year, to make sure it FINALLY happened. Year 3, and I'm finally going to get a massage for Mother's Day!! Then I get a text message 4 days before saying "Your therapist had an emergency and can't preform the massage. Please call to reschedule." I honestly thought it was a joke at first. Extremely disappointed, almost in tears, I called them, and when I did and asked for an appointment for the same day they're cancelling, aka Mother's Day, the manager said, "Oh I can't call anyone else in, they're all at capacity so that would mean someone else would have to get their massage cancelled." I explained the situation how this was the THIRD year in a row they cancelled, hoping to provoke some sort of compassion, but there was none. I ended up in tears on the phone, and didn't get anything but rudeness and "I don't know, sorry" from the male manager. This was completely unacceptable. If you cancel someone's massage, you probably need to have a back-up therapist. If you cancel a mom's massage, on Mother's Day, for the THIRD year in a row? You need to call in another therapist and offer an upgrade, NOT let that Mom cry on the phone, say you don't know, and then send a cancellation email saying "Looks like you cancelled!" Like are you kidding?? I will be switching locations to someone who cares about their customers. read more

Two stars is generous and ONLY for the therapist who have little/no control over the financial dealings of this office... I received a gift card to Massage envy for my birthday (September 2017) within a months time I used the gift card & decided I wanted to get regular facials so I signed up for the annual membership. My FIRST incident took place within a month of signing up. Apparently, each payment is for the upcoming month (as opposed to the month previous, as you do with your cell phone, utilities etc) & I dont believe I was charged upon signing the contract. Meaning, I signed up for membership on 9/27. My monthly payments come out on the 25th. So between 9/27 and 10/25 I could not receive a treatment. Which is fine... I suppose, had that been explained at the time of signing the contract and not AFTER I showed up for an appointment on 10/21. I wrote it off as a misunderstanding, but it didn't sit well with me. I wasn't super impressed with my facials so I eventually stopped scheduling in June/July of 2018. I called to cancel my membership in September and was told I was in contract until October. I called again in October and was told I was in contract until November... when I called in November to cancel, everything seemed fine. Except the girl who canceled my membership DID NOT tell me that there is cancelation paperwork that must be filled out and submitted. So guess what?! I was charged again. Naturally, Im pissed. I call the office & after some hesitation on their end, I am refunded the November payment AND my October payment as I should have been able to cancel then... I go in, submit the paperwork & leave. Thinking "Yay! Im free." HOW ABOUT I JUST CHECKED MY BANK STATEMENT & I WAS JUST CHARGED AGAIN FOR JANUARY! Its almost unbelievable at this point & I absolutely intend to call corporate. read more
