Massages are very hit or miss. Some have been excellent, some laughable. Membership-I was double charged for 4 months on 2 credit cards before I noticed. Interesting, how could they not know that? I DO NOT RECOMMEND MASSAGE ENVY. I would rate NO star if I could. I called both of the locations, glenbrook and west jefferson, to transfer a massage to my mother. The glenbrook one sent me to the other since that one was the one I signed up with. So I proceeded to call west Jefferson who I signed up with and the front desk told me I had to get an override from the manager so I waited all weekend until wednesday when she called. She told me I wasn't allowed to transfer since I was in cancelation. That the time before was a one time courtesy and wouldn't be allowed again. I asked why it was allowed since the contract I signed and the cancelation form didn't say anything about not being able to transfer massages. She said that something she will bring up to corporate and then proceed to say I won't be able to but she can book me a massage.  I think it's ridiculous that, something I had paid for, isn't allowed to be transferred regardless of me canceling my membership. I paid for it and should be allowed to use it how I please. This experience and the cancelation experience has dettered me from ever resigning with massage envy again. I'm disappointed and, quite frankly, disrespected that what I paid for isn't able to be used how I see fit.  I hope this issue can get resolved for me and future customers and ultimately have the west jefferson office(management) aware of policies and not withhold massages and paid for services against any further paying customer. read more

So three weeks ago I scheduled an appointment for me and my friend. My sister had transferred two 60 minute services to my name, and I proceeded to go in to the established location to schedule the two 60 minute facials at the same time and same date so we could get them done together. FUNN .... The lady at the front desk told me that my two 60 minute services were going to cover me and my friend. She put that I was the paying client and said I would have no other payment required at checkout, unless there were additional services. YAYYYY TODAY IS THE DAY FOR OUR FACIALLLLSSSS *dancing in the parking lot* (walks in at 4:45; appt at 5pm) We were then told that we were unable to go on with the service because I wasn't allowed to pay with my other 60 min service for my friend because I am nOt a MeMbEr and if we wanted to leave we had to pay $75 due to "cancellation" and if we still wanted the service we would have to pay $75 so pretty much we were in lock up... the lady kept going on and on saying it was my fault for not knowing their policies and wouldn't show me it on paper. They had the manager come out to explain the exact same thing when we fully understood it in the first place, but it made no sense in this situation when they were the ones at fault for the mix up. read more

I would rate it as zero if I could. We are from Michigan and trying to get a gift card for a family member who lives in Fort Wayne --their website is messed up so we can't do it online. We asked for help via email and got none. I called them to see if I could do a transaction over the phone and they said that was not possible-- they said I could come in person to get the gift card which I then again stated I was in Michigan!!! Why is it so hard to spend a good chunk of change with the business like this???? We are going elsewhere!! read more

TERRIBLE communication and overall no follow through. I had a massage scheduled with a therapist to start at 1030. I arrived at Massage Envy at 1025, checked in with the front desk and they told me to go into the quiet room, only for me to wait 25 minutes and no one get me. I went back out to the front desk to ask where the therapist was and the receptionist proceeded to tell me that the therapist was not there and the therapist did not know they had an appointment. I checked in with them... they knew I was sitting in that room for so long and could have grabbed me to tell me she wasn't there! In general: Jiffy Lube service at best. The location is clean and friendly. The receptionists are timely in answering phones, scheduling, and returning messages. The services offered are just about what you would expect from Massage Envy. The quality of the massage was alright, and the massage therapist had a friendly / comfortable demeanor. I paid an introductory price of $55 for an "hour" long massage. However, I don't feel I would ever pay $95 (the listed regular price) for the same massage. I'll more than likely try a different establishment for my next massage. That's the jist. If you need more details, keep reading. The environment wasn't entirely professional. Upon entering the establishment I could clearly hear a couple of the women in the room to the left having a discussion. Their tone was loud, and it seemed as if they were bad-mouthing another employee; I remember they specifically mentioned being dissatisfied with some practice. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork, and shortly thereafter was directed to a room where they conduct a short survey to determine what your interests are, both long term and for your current appointment. I made it a point to the woman I was speaking with that my calves were my greatest source of tension. A few short minutes following the survey, the massage therapist appeared and we began. We reviewed the fact that my calves were my greatest source of general pain and tension. The massage was quick, as the "hour" long massage seems to include the 10-minute pre-counseling as well as the time it takes to disrobe / robe (per as advertised, to be fair.) As a result, an hour long massage is really only about 45 minutes of hands-on time. In those 45 minutes, the massage therapist did not spend a lot of time on my calves. I had requested deep pressure, as I am not new to massage. Brittany (I apologize if I misspelled) had a decent pressure, but it did not feel deep. I was ensured Brittany was the deepest. After the massage, I did not feel any 'better,' as I typically have after other massages in the past. I do feel in part the experience was my own fault as I encouraged our talkative natures. Brittany was nice, and easy to talk to. However, a massage session isn't exactly the best time to chat. Finally, the suggestive sales at check-out were outrageously pushy. They asked the same question three times! Given my experience, I don't think I would feel inclined to commit myself to spend $65 per month on a massage every month as they were pitching. I'm not a fan of price versus hands-on time overall. I'd rather pay a full $100 - $120 for a full hour of hands-on contact than this quick, Jiffy Lube service I perceived to receive. read more

I left work early for my chemical peel. When I arrived a new manager and staff couldn't find an appointment on their CRM. Then, the staff couldn't comprehend that my name wasn't what she thought it should be. The actual customer behind was the "Kate Gerber." You can't fit round pegs in square holes. Next, the manager assumes and offers me a massage. I corrected her and then told her about my appointment for a chemical peel. Finally, the manager searched and found my account with an old phone which I offered. The person I originally scheduled with weeks ago lucky saved my credit card information but everything was outdated *sarcasm* So their office couldn't notify me that my appointment was canceled. Meanwhile, the manager was trying to upsell me! Thereafter I agreed to reschedule for Sunday with a complimentary add-on. I arrived at my new appointment both front counter young ladies were pretentious. The esthetician said, "she couldn't honor the add-on because it was too much." Ultimately, I don't believe the esthetician gave me the upgrade after all. All the while, she kept trying to upsell me. Lastly, when I checked out the other girl called her manager to help with my payment. I used a gift, and x-mas promotion cards plus paid another $70.00. It appeared I had inconvenienced them again, according to the amusement between them. I understand it's the fast food of massages but you need to retrain your customer service. They say you can cancel and you will always get your massage but that isn't the case. . Just google Massage Envy Blows. This is a website created by their employees and former clients. I am a long time Massage Envy member, and always look forward to my massages here. It's easy to schedule, I have confidence in my therapists' skills, and it is a location where I feel safe and comfortable. The massage table sheets/blankets are soft, and on a cold day the table warmers are so nice! Sometimes I arrive a little early to sit in the "quiet room" and mentally relax from the day before my session. The rhythm is nice and predictable - get checked in, sit in the quiet room, get a wonderfully relaxing massage, have a cup of water, pay and re-schedule. Some of the therapists chat during the session, some don't, some take their queues from you and will chat if you chat. Finding the therapist whose style works best for you is an important key to enjoying the session. I do get annoyed with the increasingly sales-oriented direction the company is going, with all of the add-on services and extra things... I just want a massage. Also, having to fill out new paperwork every time they change their computer system is irksome. That being said, my regular massage therapists are excellent - I have absolutely recommended Massage Envy to friends, and I am happy this one is a convenient location for me. read more

I wish I could give a negative rating, My daughter while she was an employee, purchased a gift card for my birthday ( November), $255 plus a bonus special of $30. She left the employment of this location. I tried to schedule a facial at a location close to me, not the same location she worked at and was told the owner will not accept the gift card at any of the FW locations because she wanted to punish my daughter for quitting. She will not give a refund. $255 is a lot of money, especially for a 20 year old to spend. If this is how she runs a business, she should not be in business. read more

GREEN LIGHT GO !! My dad who has NEVER shown interest in massage and NEVER gets them told me about this place. The instant he started talking about it I knew it must be a special place. First off, the decor of the spa is very fitting. It's modern, yet cozy. The receptionists are attentive but not annoying. As soon as I walked in, they acknowledged my presence and had me take a seat. I was offered water and asked to fill out a med history form as well as areas that I wanted to have work on and areas I would feel uncomfortable. I can't remember my therapists name but I had two different ones. Both were very thorough and made my massage worthwhile. I would definitely take the time to find the therapist right for you. I do remember liking one over another but its all about personal preference. If you don't like your massage then try another therapist! They all have different styles. I found the price to be very reasonable (I am a member and the price is $39/hour). I live in Hawaii so I go to the massage envy in Hawaii and the price is $49. Every place is different but in Ft. Wayne its a steal!! I would definitely give this place a try. I was very impressed with their service ! read more

I had decided to cancel my membership in February and upon cancellation I had approximately 5 credits that remained unused. I was concerned about utilizing these credits in the time frame allotted after cancellation. This concern was largely due to the fact that it is hard to get appointments when needed. I was told not to worry and that they can extend the date for me to make sure that I had the opportunity to use them. I visited today and have 3 remining credits. I was informed that my remaining three (3) have to be used up within the next two days, otherwise I will lose them. That is $195 going to waste. I asked them about extending them as they had previously mentioned and they are strictly refusing to do so. My hopes would be that they would be more understanding... knowing that I would most likely not have these outstanding credits had I been able to use them during Covid shutdown period. Over all my experience with this location has been poor from appointment availability to refusing to honor services that I had paid for. I would recommend other Massage Envy locations over this one. read more

The young ladies who greeted and checked me in were helpful and friendly. My masseuse was great. Good pressure, she showed me a helpful stretch for my problem area, and she made me very comfortable. I got the add-on and got to keep the extra lotion, which smells great. My only suggestion would be a shower on site since I left there with greasy hair. Thankfully, I had a brush on me or I would have left looking like Doc Brown! This is minor to me since I was headed home after anyway. I will be back. The worst service I could ever experience. In the past i had a reaction after using latest gloves during my facial and I never made a big deal about it. I started doing massages only for my membership and of course availability was a night mare. So I cancel my membership with two services left and no one told me I had 60 days to use them or they expire. I call to make an appointment I mention I have 2 arrives and when I arrive after doing the massage I was told they expired and charged me 95 non member fee. Never going back there. read more

They are a scam! Apparently under new management, they did not charge my card since December. Now they won't let me use my five already paid for massages unless I pay for four months worth of membership! These are already paid for previously. I asked why they didn't call me and they said they were behind. It is April! So now I can't get services that have been paid. Be very careful signing a contract. In addition, they just had a class action lawsuit over this very same issue. Plus, their personnel change constantly. read more
