My friend and I each bought a Groupon for a package: a facial, a massage, and use of the sauna. We were really disappointed that they could not fit us in to do our facials or our massages together so while one of us was getting a facial the other got a massage and then we traded therapists. What was kind of frustrating was we bought a package but then we had to come on a separate day to use the sauna because they did not have "enough time" to let us use all three things we paid for at the same time. On top of that the massage therapist basically talked the entire time. It was kind of annoying since both of us were looking forward to a weekend of relaxation and instead needed to entertain our therapist with conversation. The facial therapist however was nice and allowed us time to relax wit only minimal conversation when necessary. We did like the sauna ‍ however it said it was 133° but we found that hard to believe since after 50 minutes in it we did not even break a sweat. Since my boyfriend was coming up to Ohio to visit me plus our one year anniversary was coming up I figured, why not do something sweet and relaxing for both of us?! I called to book a reservation about 10 days in advance and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful on the phone. As my boyfriend has never had a full body massage before, I decided to ask for 2 female masseuses to have him be comfortable. On the day of the massage, we arrived 20 minutes early and filled out the paperwork with info about our massage and the sauna. I had booked a 1-hour massage followed by a 45-minute session in the sauna. I also booked us in the couples suite so we could have the sauna and massage in one room. The ladies we had walked us to the room and talked to each of us individually about our surveys. It would have been helpful however if they could explain to my boyfriend what to do after they left the room. I explained it to him as this was his first time so he knew what to do. Once we both were laying on the table, our ladies came back into the room and began the massage. It was a good experience overall. After the massage we both wore soft robes and sat in the sauna for 45 minutes that was timed with a specific setting. We were able to watch Netflix during that time on their in-sauna TV. It was a good experience overall and once the timer went up, we got dressed and went to the reception desk to check out. Was told, she would speak with her manager. Was then called back with the solution, and I QUOTE, 'Find another massage place.' I had a really really great first experience here. It's a little bit far from my house but it was well worth the drive. The ambience is nice and relaxing. The staff was welcoming right when you come in the door. They have a very reasonable introductory rate and if you sign up for the monthly massage plan, it remains reasonable and you don't have a contract for it or anything. The massage itself was one of the best I ever had. My husband and I had a couples massage in one of the suite rooms which was gorgeous && included a sauna. My massage was firm like I like it but he did check in when appropriate it make sure everything was good with the pressure. The bio freeze enhancement was well worth it and reasonably priced. My boyfriend purchased the couples massages and sauna groupon a couple months ago and we finally used it. The front desk staff was super accommodating with scheduling especially since we had to reschedule when my boyfriend got stuck working for the previously scheduled day, then when I called again to confirm the appointment. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the second you walk in it is relaxing and low lighting, I loved it. I almost got too relaxed filling out our paperwork. They have a nice menu of add-ons and aromatherapy, I was too scared to try, but I loved the selection and kind of wish I would have tried something. My bf tried the biofreeze, which we have at home but he loves it!! We also loved that suggested things for us but were not overly pushing like similar places I have been to. We did an hour of sauna time which was AMAZING! Neither of us expected to love it so much! They have a TV in there where you can choose programs or temps and even watch youtube or netflix. Can you imagine detoxing in a perfect sauna and getting to watch The Office. It was so perfect. If Rocky River was closer to my home town I think I would be in that sauna weekly. Our therapists came to get us for the massage and we moved over to the other room, you can cook to be in a couples rooms that has the sauna already in the room, it was up-charge and we didnt care enough to do it, but if you are worried about walking in the hall in your robe, maybe do it. I had Rebekah and he had Jamie and we were very happy with them. Rebekah and i talked Disney and vacations most of the time. I am a person that we can talk the whole time or be silent the whole time and it doesnt affect my massage, my boyfriend is more silently enjoying his massage. I think next time I may ask for just upper body because my arms and legs dont need massaged but my neck needs it daily!! Evan was a really great MT, and I loved the sauna. However, the customer service was sub par. You could never get a voice. All the MTs began to leave, and the one sauna wasn't working properly. They wouldn't fix it. Then one day, I called and there is a voice message that they are closed due to no staff. Yet, I'm still charged a monthly fee, which I'm told to dispute with my credit card. Amazing! The most relaxing afternoon I have had in a long time! The atmosphere is calming right when you walk in the door. I, too, had a significant amount of credits because it was hard to get in to schedule and then they were 'temporarily' closed and next thing I knew, cleaned out and for sale. I have had many massages and this one by far the worst. My Massage Therapist(Kim) had the worst breath and kept making burping sounds while doing the massage. The massage felt like I was on a boat in middle of the ocean during a hurricane(could not relax). The Massage Therapist didn't evenly do all parts of the body and used more of her forearms then hands. The massage only lasted 45-50 min and I was to get a sauna also but they did not have available time. They did say I could come back for sauna but that wasn't what I wanted when purchased the package. I explained to the manager and she said well I can offer you another 59.00 massage with different Massage Therapist. REALLY?? This was my first time and the massage I just paid for was the worst and you offer me coming back to your spa and paying 59.00 again. read more

If you're looking for a quality massage, you can probably go further than a chain place like this. The aroma of the place is nice, but so are most places. Our couples deal included an hour long private sauna before the massage in a room with a fountain. The masseuses are decent, but we felt a bit misguided on the total price. When booking the price of the services & the hour sauna were quoted but there turned out to be an additional $30/person for the room fee plus an additional $10 than was originally quoted. You can have a decent experience here, but just be sure you know all you will pay for up front. read more

Just had a very disappointing experience with this business, which I've patronized with a membership over several years. I reinstated my membership in late February, just before COVID hit. The membership works by automatically charging a massage to your credit card each month. I elected to do 90-minute massages for $86 per month. On March 20, the spa sent an email to members announcing they would close but continue to charge for monthly massages during the lockdown that could be redeemed once the stay at home order was lifted. At that point, I requested my membership be cancelled, as I'm in a high risk group and unlikely to get a massage in the foreseeable future. I was nevertheless charged on March 28 for $86 and again on May 28. I contacted the spa yesterday. They agreed to cancel my membership (I would have to come in and fill out paperwork) but could not refund my accrued massages. The cancellation agreement also required that I agree to forfeiting my accrued massages as a condition of cancellation. When I stopped by the spa to sign the paperwork, I noticed that the two healthy-looking young women staffing the welcome desk were not wearing masks, despite the state mandate. I asked about it and one of them said they both had underlying conditions preventing them from wearing a mask (I was wearing one). I explained that part of my motivation for cancelling was their apparent utter disregard for client safety. What hygiene and safety protocols were they following? Were their therapists tested for COVID? Nothing of substance had been communicated to their clients to inspire confidence. While I accept the consequences of my decision to cancel (basically a loss of $172) and I understand small businesses are struggling, I do feel they could have managed this more responsibly and with greater regard for their clients. read more

Great place once you find the right therapist ! I had to try several before we found a match ! I like a lot of pressure and Riley, Connie and Tiffany are my faves - they always work through all my knots and leave me feeling amazing ! My only issue is the 60 min massage is really 50 min and 90 min is an 80 min massage. Also the walls are thin and you can hear the people next to you -- if they are talking it kind of kills the relaxation vibe. read more

I have received massages before, but this one was different. The massage was scheduled for 4 PM, but I did not get started until 4:30PM. It was supposed to be a 50 minute massage, but we were done by 5:15 PM. Those 5 minutes didn't really matter to me, but it was just an additional thing that I was unhappy about. A few times during my massage, the masseuse would ask if the pressure was alright, etc. and I would respond. However, i'm not sure if he didn't hear me the other times, but there were a lot of instances where I would grimace, pull away, and verbalize that he was hurting me. Today, being the 2nd day after the massage, I am covered in bruises all along my left leg and the entirety of my upper back. I cannot lay down or lean back comfortably. What started out as a good experience at Massage Green Spa in Rocky River, Ohio ended in disappointment. My fiancé and I signed on in summer of 2018. I was his guest although the account was in my name they charged his credit card. He paid $69 a month and $59 for me when I went. He also accumulated free sessions which I sometimes used. Our first two sessions were awesome but the staff started to turn over and deep tissue massages turned into oily body rubs. Kim, my fiancé' masseuse was still there but hardly ever available. A year later we decide to cancel at which time we were going to use up the free sessions. They told him I had to come in to cancel. We went for for our free massages and they said that I would have to pay because we didn't live at the same address which was not a stipulation when we signed on. I attempted to cancel the subscription and they had already cancelled me several months ago, without informing me, yet they told my fiance that I had to come in to cancel. They also said their contract changed in Jan. or Feb. of 2019, however, we were never notified. We cancelled and walked away. They could have at least given us two of our four free sessions. We were promised that management would be in touch with us, we never heard from them. So if you decide to cancel with them, use up your freebies first or you'll lose them. Also check occasionally for contact changes as they can change without notice. Be careful with this one. Great on taking your money but poor on meeting their obligations and customer satisfaction. read more

She is a wonderful masseuse however she is cutting back her hours and is picking and choosing who she would like to take care of. I had been on their monthly plan prior to COVID. when COVID hit, I had asked if we should cancel this, however they continued to withdraw money from my account. I have accumulated 8 massages at 65$ or roughly 520$. I had been trying for months to schedule appointments and never had an opening. I scheduled one month out for today. I received an email confirmation for my time. Yesterday I received a voice message from Stefi or Becky, I still have it, stating my appointment was for 9am, but really was for 1pm. I live with chronic pain and am dependent on massages to help relieve my pain. I was extremely upset and I left a firm messages that I would be there at 1pm. I also called this morning to confirm the 1pm. Right prior to my appointment, the manager called me and screamed at me stating I was rude, their staff do not deserve to be treated like that and that they will not issue a refund that "I needed to take it up with my bank." I was hoping to get him to sign up for the monthly massages. The man who did my massage was very good but I could smell the strong scent of his being a smoker. The massages that were suppose to be for an hour were much shorter, we weren't taken back until 1:05 pm it was 1:52 when my masseuse left the room. When I came out my husband was already in the waiting room, I asked him about the monthly deal he said no and was in a hurry to leave. He mentioned that he felt it was a total waste of money, he had a female masseuse who coughed throughout his entire massage, when he told her he wanted a deeper massage she told him it was what she was doing. I want to start off by saying the woman who took care of me was great - she was very sweet and knowledgeable but I did not get what I came in for. I paid $48.60 for a 30 minute "massage", but instead I got a 27 minute "stretch" that I could have done myself at home. I am in DESPERATE need of a massage in the mid area of my back; the whole reason I went there and I left with the same pain I came in with. I made it very well known where I needed the massage at. I also told the woman who scheduled me over the phone that I wanted to do aromatherapy, needless to say I didn't get that either. I didn't even flip over for a massage - my back wasn't touched, no lotion or anything. I literally paid $50 to stretch. She pulled my legs, put her hands under my back and hip to check my spine, and then did a neck stretch that did feel nice and relaxing, but still didn't touch the problematic areas or "deep tissue massage" I came in and paid for in the first place. I got a 15 second rub on my neck at the end of my massage and that's it. It was supposed to be 5:00-5:30, when she left the room I looked at the clock behind me and it was 5:27. She said 3 different times that were "pressed for time" as if I'm the first person to ever get a 30 min massage? I actually asked for a 1 hour but they didn't have time, and I'm so glad they didn't because that would've made my experience even worse. I told the younger girl at the font desk I was unhappy, and she didn't bother to do anything to help make my first experience here better or try to keep my business. She took my payment and told me to have a nice day. I rated this 1 star only because the woman who took care of me was nice. I don't think I will return here. read more

Massage Green Spa is my new find, and I think it's a keeper. I was seeking infrared sauna, and I'm in my 4th week. The staff now knows my desired preheat temperature and has the sauna ready for me when I arrive. I'm very impressed with the atmosphere. This is the first goggle review I have ever left. I felt the need to do this because this was one of the worst customer service/ management experiences I have ever had. I had a massage here on 4/28. The receptionist overbooked me and called me to come in at in earlier time since that was the only time they had today. I arrived early for my 3 pm appointment. I was not taken back until 3: 12. The massage itself was fine. However, it ended early. I thought this was weird considering they had already taken me in late. When I went to the front desk to check out, the receptionist did not even greet me. She told me my total. I was confused and had said that this was not what the previous receptionist had told me the amount would come to. She did not once apologize or even try to clarify the confusion. I politely told her that not only did you originally over book me, they were nearly 15 minutes late, and I also was told the massage would be a different price. The receptionist was so rude I was taken back by how condescending and impolite she was. I told her that I felt that my issues needed to be addressed with a manager. She told me was. How awful the manager treats well paying customers that way. I have never been treated so poorly and especially at a place of "relaxation". I will absolutely not be back. I am so disappointed at how much customer service can make or break an experience, and this a perfect example of it. read more
