You could pick aromatherapy lotion scent and I mentioned I wish the one called headache relief was more mint scented and lady at front desk custom combined scents for me and it was perfect! Shorter than an hour 45 minutes, maybe 50. Did very little of the specifics that I desperately needed and requested. I left grumpier. I get regular deep tissue massage work where I live. After a few days of work travel I found this place. They squeezed me in same day, which was nice. Ashley was my massage therapist. She was argumentative off the bat and most of the time throughout the massage. If you're looking for a deep tissue therapist to listen to your requests and do something with those requests, prolly don't go here. Not 100% but for the most part, I've done deeper muscle work with my roller.....i'm leaving this review so hopefully someone else can avoid the same experience. read more

My husband and I were looking for a pampering experience for our Anniversary and they offered a spa, facial, massage package for a good price. I will say, it was difficult to find an appointment that both of us could come in at the same time. Apparently, they have just two aestheticians, so the facials get booked out pretty quickly. That being said, when we were finally able to schedule the dual-services, we had a lovely experience! First, we loved the personal spa. It was dim, private, clean, and they had iced lemon water for us just outside the sauna. Once we were fully warm and ready, we proceeded with our other services - while one got a massage, the other got a facial and vice versa. This is a family-run business and the whole experience was very relaxing. We even booked the same package via their holiday special rate, so we can go back again in a couple months! read more

Male therapists massage was painful even asking for light pressure. We had three 75.00 gift cards that they only gave us 66.00 for each card due to timing of use. Who does that? I found this place on Groupon and am so glad I did! They have an amazing rate for a massage, facial and infrared sauna combo. If you go with a friend, you can both be in the sauna together, so it's nice to do a spa day and still get to hang out and chat for a part of the time. I walked into a beautiful, relaxing lobby. Sometimes the chain spas don't hit the ambience very well but this was so relaxing. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. They have iPads to fill out their intake forms. My massage therapist was Denise and she really listened to my concerns and focused on specific areas. Her pressure level was on point. My esthetician was Sandy. She gave a wonder face massage during the facial and it was nice to feel refreshed. Since you can't wear a mask during the facial and you have to be face up, she wore both a mask and face shield. I found Massage Green Spa a while back on Groupon. My husband and I did a massage, facial, and steam room package, and it was a great introduction. I've since been back a few times for massages, all with different therapists, and I think all but one time I've left thinking "that was the best massage I've ever had". I went in for a massage last week and again, it was the best massage I've ever had. Angela was my masseuse and she did a great job. She incorporated stretching and hot towels and the pressure was perfect. I also like that Massage Green Spa has online booking and usually has pretty open availability. I'm not great about planning out massages in advance, and when my muscles start feeling tight, I like to be able to get in for a massage as soon as possible. Do Not come here!! Do Not waste your money. The massages are mediocre. You won't feel anything. It was a waste of time and money. I don't like to write long reviews so I'll just get straight to the point. 1.) The male masseuse we had was bitchy. Like he did not smile, he copped an attitude with every question I asked. He rushed us out the room when we were still getting dressed after our massage. Honestly I can deal with a bitchy masseuse if the massage is on point, but to be bitchy and the massage sucks too ‍ 2.) the masseuses are light handed. Meaning they don't put any muscle into your massage. You literally can get your 3 year old to give you a better massage. It was the lightest "rub down" I've ever had. I've been to Massage Green 4 times now and received a great massage every time. The reception is always on point and they're super friendly and helpful. Overall, the spa is clean and very welcoming. My last massage at Massage Green was with Selina and she was absolutely amazing. She used the perfect amount of pressure (I like a pretty firm massage) and her technique was perfect. Massage with Sarah at massage Green Spa. I asked firmer twice for my deep tissue but she did it for a few min then back to light. My feet were lightly massaged for probably less then one minute and that was one of the locations I circled as a focus point. I'd suggest they offer to put a towel to cover people's eyes when they turn around because the light in the room was a bit bright from being facedown. Overall the massage was a 3/5. There are many therapists working here, it may take time till you find the right person for you. Or you could get lucky with your first massage and find the perfect therapist. The decor and ambiance is wonderful in the waiting area 4.5/5. Clean and new building, we were able to book an appointment on the day of. They had a promo running on our first visit. My gps was taking me to the wrong location, probably because this is a fairly new location, it is in the shopping center across from the Target and right next to the hospital. read more

You never know what you're going to get with this place. Went in last night for a massage and it was the worst massage I have ever had. Spent an hour just getting lotion rubbed into my body. I kept asking the young lady to massage harder.. nope. It was later in the day so maybe she was tired. And at the end she ran out like she was late for an appointment. Tonight was my 6th or 7th visit there and most every time has been amazing. I suffer from degenerative disk disease at 25 and it BLOWS. Almost constant pinched nerves in my neck that I thought were just a pain I'd have to live with, where massage could only help soothe the pain a small bit. Tonight I had Michael for the first time and now I couldn't see myself going to anyone else. I got in the car after my appointment and cried because of how much relief I felt for the first time in years. For those that suffer from neck pain especially and those that like pressure definitely ask for Michael! Over the past year or so I've been going here, I've only had one bad experience and when I called back to let them know I wasn't as satisfied as I had been other visits, they were happy to help me get in quick with someone different at a discount. My husband surprised me with a couples massage at Massage Green Spa. We went in yesterday for our massages. His masseuse was incredibly warm and friendly. I wish I could remember the name of my masseuse. She was wearing a bandana and was much less friendly than his. I asked for medium pressure and a focus on my shoulder blades and upper back. I should have asked for lighter pressure from my masseuse at some point because I was in pain most of the massage. I can still feel exactly where my masseuse dug into my shoulder blades and feel like I need a massage just to get rid of the new pain I now have. Despite my poor experience, my husband was raving about his masseuse and he seemed to have a wonderful experience. The sauna was also very nice after our massage. read more

If you intend to use a Groupon, prepare yourself to jump through hoops to be able to use it. The fine print does not state it cannot be used on a weekend, and I have never encountered a business that offered online booking that does not accommodate those requests. What a disappointing experience to say the least. As another reviewer mentioned, they try to nickel and dime you in offering introductory rates in lieu of the Groupon, which is substantially more than the Groupon. Cut us short 10 min, did not provide 2 female massage therapists like requested (& waited a month for). I did a couples massage here and wasn't too impressed with the spa. First, they had us show up 20 min before our appt to fill out paperwork. No one was at the front desk so we waited for 10 min before getting helped, thus causing us to go back late. Our massage started 6 min late and we thought they would add the time at the end since it was their fault. We were mistaken, they cut our massage even shorter by 4 more minutes. In the grand scheme of things that doesn't seem like a lot but when you're paying nearly $200 for a couples 1 hour massage - 10 min short is a big deal. Additionally we waited a month to have 2 female massage therapists. They provided us with a male and female and just asked if we would like to proceed. Upon my annoyance saying yes we waited a month for this appt of course we still want it, they threw in some aromatherapy. The massage was alright but not very relaxing. For Valentine's Day I got my boyfriend and I a couples Massage at Green Spa. I got it via Groupon so I wasn't sure what kind of quality to expect. I was extremely surprised about the quality of our visit. It was amazing. The people at the front desk were very helpful and also they had free cookies.. so you know you're in for a great time. Jordan, the guy who answered all my phone calls was awesome. The lobby has running water and calming music to calm you down before your massage even starts. We had to do a little paperwork but it didn't take more than one or two minutes. Once it was time to go in I was a little nervous. I've never had a professional massage much less a couples massage. Our masseuses greeted us and brought us back to our room where the lights were dimmed, there was calm music and a fountain..amazing. They gave us time to get situated on our respective tables and as I climbed under the blanket I realized that the table was heated! This maybe normal for massages but I was excited about it. Then our masseuses came in and officially introduced themselves. My masseuse was Kim and my boyfriends was Ilya. They were both incredible, thank you guys! We got full body massages beginning face down. They always had the part of our body that was not being massaged under the blanket so it wasn't chilly and they were great at communicating about pressure without talking a lot . Kim even gave me a face massage! It was hard not to laugh but it felt great. Once our hour long massage was over (I was dreading the end) we headed to the infrared sauna for 45 minutes. They left us with ice water and towels and we climbed in. Not only were we in a sauna but the sauna had a tv with YouTube, Hulu and a ton of other stuff. We love each other's company but we also love watching the new season of Bobs burger's in a sauna because that might be a once in a lifetime experience. Once we left we felt so refreshed! I love a good massage. They aren't for everyone, but this place makes you feel very comfortable. I have had a few so so massages, but I just don't go those people any more. I have also had a facial here that was fantastic. If you join the monthly payment plan, you can save up for a longer massage or a facial or any of the extras, plus you get a better price. We really enjoyed them because they focused a lot on our needs and massaged in places we didn't think was needed or possible (in a good way). This place felt more like a factory than a relaxing atmosphere for a massage. The waiting area was packed.. 7 people waiting for appointments around 3pm seemed excessive. The waiting area was cramped and loud. We had to overhear other customers' billing issues since our chairs were right next to the counter. Even during our massages the noise, voices and laughter from the hallway was distracting. My Massuse was great- Chris did a very good job. If you believe the customer is always right, take your business elsewhere. This business location revoked my Groupon because I showed up for my appointment at the time indicated by their email reminder system. Apparently, I was one hour late--even after forwarding the deceptive email as proof of the misunderstanding. I lost $90 over this misleading email. The receptionists seem to have their manners and wits about them, but the business owner is a crook. She told the receptionist over the phone to deliver the bad news and didn't offer to speak to us herself. Later that evening, we sent an email pleading for mercy and explaining the mix-up, but she didn't respond until 10 DAYS later. And, to add more insult to injury, she refused to shoulder any blame whatsoever. She did claim, however, that the receptionist was sympathetic and offered to give up his free monthly massage. I greatly appreciated the offer, but 1) it didn't cover the money we lost, 2) I could never take advantage of a well-meaning employee when the owner should clearly take reparative action on the business' behalf, and 3) I couldn't possibly give this woman any more money on good conscience. I don't suggest supporting a business that doesn't have its customers' interests at heart. I'm boycotting the brand because of this upsetting experience and I'm telling everyone I know (only after cooling off for several weeks). Please don't go to this location. Pay someone more deserving of your hard-earned money. But, if you must go to them, don't trust their emails! Call them. read more

This was the weirdest and worst massage I've ever had. I have had hundreds of massages over the years and I have never felt the need to complain, but this was a little crazy. The therapist was so jerky that she actually smacked me on accident a couple of times. When she went to move hair away from my face she flicked it so hard she was whacking me in the head with her fingernails. She wouldn't stop talking and asked inappropriate personal questions. I had to tell her I wanted to sleep in order for her to be quiet. She was really forceful even though I said I was really sore and I didn't want a lot of pressure. She would randomly push down on me really hard. She would suddenly and abruptly switch from a soft and slow pace/pressure to hard and really fast. At one point she had her head uncomfortably close to my head and she actually breathed in my ear. She kept randomly making these really intense breathing noises that I don't know if she thought I just couldn't hear? And then she would stop massaging me to scratch herself really hard, which was just strange. When she went to do my hips/legs she actually pulled the sheet and wedged it up between my butt cheeks which I've never had done during a massage. She was also not consistent left to right and did different motions from side to side which I also found odd. And I don't know if she ate something bad or if it was the restaurant next door, but there was a terrible smell in the room on and off and it kept wafting in my face. It was terrible and honestly smelled like bad gas from broccoli or cauliflower. I know this sounds so outlandish -- believe me it was. The entire time I felt really uncomfortable, tense, and violated. I trusted someone and it was a terrible experience. When I checked out I was asked how it was and I just said "fine," but I only said that because I was so shocked by the experience that I could not yet formulate words for it. I truly hope no one else has had a similar experience. This was highly unprofessional and in my opinion completely unacceptable. I gave a $10 tip but I really really wish I hadn't. I would like to cancel my membership - I've been a member here for awhile now. I was already on the verge of cancelling - because every time I find a decent therapist they leave - but this sealed the deal. I sent this as email feedback several days prior to leaving this review to give the spa a chance to offer to make it right, but never heard from anyone. read more

The building is new, clean, comfortable, with calming decor. The hallway leading back to the rooms is narrow, if someone else is also in the hallway it's awkward. The massage was wonderful, relaxing music, nice room, comfortable table with heat. John was the therapist and he did a great job, asking what I needed, and kept with the medium to deep tissue just as I asked. I read someone else's post that they were disappointed that a 90 minute massage was actually 70 mins. That info was provided to me up front so I knew that before I purchased it. I also enjoyed the dry sauna, which I did not expect to like that much, but it was great after the massage to sit there and relax. There's even a tablet/ipad(?) in the sauna with Pandora, Hulu, etc. that would have been great but Pandora had commercials, and the Internet was sketchy so Hulu show kept buffering. For our second couple massage they were running late about 15 and when ours got done , they cut us short almost 15, our package had the sauna included and water pitcher was empty and so was cool wash clothes in mini fridge. My wife and I booked a couples massage here. We were scheduled for Monday at 7:00 pm and when we showed up, they said no it's on Wednesday at 7:00pm. 1st offense. When we actually got our massages, the guy working on me said he was an "award winning therapist" and proceeded to give me the worst massage I've ever had! He was pushing so hard that I was squirming and saying ouch, and he told me to "just breathe through it". I tried to tough through the pain afterwards, but was forced to go to the ER when I started having shooting pains in my knee and it swelled to 3 times it's size. He damaged the joint capsule. I had to have my knee tapped, and am now on crutches and in an immobilization brace. I have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon next week to do a full work up and see how bad the damage is. I have had several medical deep tissue massages with John at Massage Green Spa. I know it was so much better after one message so really on my way to complete recovery. I have a frozen shoulder for 10 years and have tried everything to fix it. He is the only one who has given me relive I can now raise my arm above my head, dry my hair things that people take for grant it. it's hit or miss, I've been here 3 times and I would say 1 out of 3 was the best of my massage. The reason for a 3 is because each therapist had different technique ranging from what I would say was an expert to someone who rushed and wasn't very good in technique. for the price it's ok, but like I said, it's hit or miss with the technique and experience. read more

I am giving one star because I was actually not even able to receive a massage. I was scheduled to get a couples massage on Thursday at seven and those of you who got out of work around the same time as me (5 o'clock) and found themselves in the Arvada/ Golden area you know that the roads were absolutely terrible - I-70 was basically at a standstill because of multiple crashes caused by the huge downfall of snow/ slush and icy roads. I called as soon as I realized it was going to be impossible to make it - close to two hours before my appointment - and I explained my situation, apologized, and asked if there was any way I could reschedule, they said no and that I would be charged for the appointment if I didn't make it. Since they were still going to charge me I was planning on braving the roads and trying to head there, but after it took over an hour for my boyfriend to drive just from Golden to Arvada to meet me (normally a 15 minute drive) we decided there was no way we would make it in time. I wish we could have had the opportunity to actually experience the massages, but unfortunately we were not given the option. I will not be returning or recommending Massage Green Spa in the future. read more
