While there are therapists that I really like here, I would have a hard time recommending this place -- it has happened to me multiple times that I have taken off work, arranged a babysitter etc and then received a call the day-of telling me that my appointment is canceled. Things happen, I get it, but I'm starting to suspect that they are advertising appointments that are not actually available which is frustrating -- I have to line up multiple things days in advance to make some relaxation happen and then to be canceled on last minute - that's an unreliable business. read more

It's been impossible to cancel my membership and I've been charged even after attempting to cancel. It has to be in email but they don't check email. I tried calling and the front desk woman actually apologized for the manager not checking email... I am still waiting after 5 days to get an update and have been charged again. It's ridiculous I do not recommend a membership here at all. Update: even after the msg here from Decatur MH I have emailed and still not received a reply. You can't make this up. I am so happy this place was found and recommended to me. I have never seen so many black masseuses/massage therapists. They focus on the areas you specify and when those areas were getting done, it was good. My only issue is there was a lot of time lost massaging areas I didn't need or want. Working on the areas I really needed like my neck, shoulders, and feet was brief. Some parts of the body not touched at all. For example, 20 mins on my scalp but my arms were not touched, front of the body not touched, feet barely touch and done backwards. I will return to try again and support again. I've been a member here for 5mos and all my exp have been excellent until today! My therapist was Linda and she did a poor job! I never had to ask a therapist to stop my massage before! Before my session started, I shared my problem areas and the type of pressure I would prefer. Her technique was all over the place, jumping from shoulder to shoulder. I explain what I would prefer once again, and she got a little upset stating she told me to tell her if I wanted the preesure deeper or not. In my pass experiences a therapist should feel any knots you may have and work them out, if possible. I felt as if she was just rubbing all over my back. Respectfully, I asked her to stop! I informed the ladies upfront of what I experienced, and they were apologetic and offered to reschedule me another day. Sad to say, my time was wasted and I didn't get the massage I expected today! So after repeated frustrations with Massage Heights' Buckhead location, I decided to try to Decatur location with hopes of receiving better, more complete service. From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. I arrived 10 minutes early, getting outside staff were friendly and polite, my message therapist was ready to begin on time and the actual massage was one of the most complete that I've ever received. The therapist, Sunny, actually listened to what I asked her to focus on and did exactly that. She also seemed to have better techniques than other massage therapists I've experienced. And best of all I actually received the entire 60 massage promised. Not the 50- minute reduced version you'll get at the Buckhead location with excuses. Although its a longer drive for me, because I have a membership, I'll be scheduling all of my future appointments at this location. read more

Do not go here - I've been trying to get them to remove my card info from their system for weeks and they continue to bill my account. I requested cancelation in person and by phone but they require cancelation requests be made in writing (so stupid). I've submitted requests in writing 3 separate times but they have not responded. Their corporate offices told me they can't help because each location is independently owned - amazingly the Decatur location has been ignoring requests from corporate to assist me. I'm going to have to dispute the charges with the bank now, and/or get a new card so that they will stop billing me. I've come here for massages several times, and Joseph is the best therapist I've had. I arrived tonight to a quiet lobby and immediately felt like I'd arrived at a retreat. Joseph asked me about my current state and if I had any areas in need of focus. With him, it is never the same massage. He listens to you and then massages based on what you need - this includes what you say and what he figures out as he works. It's not the usual "start on your stomach, first your arm, then your leg, then your other leg, then your other arm, now turn" massage where you know exactly what is next. He also is best if you can handle a medium/firm pressure, and he's able to release so much tension. My entire body felt so relaxed when I left today, so my only suggestion for those reading this is to have someone drive you so you can extend the blissful feeling all the way home! After careful deliberation with myself it's a no for me. My massage therapist was Cas. I was receiving a 90 minute massage. Not including the per policy 5 minutes before and after time slot allotted for dressing/ undressing, there was about 10 minutes loss from my massage with fault being on them for a total of 20 minutes of non massage time. I felt during the massage there wasn't any real technique nor direction. It was honestly all over the place. It literally felt like random long jerky strokes. Like the massage on my neck literally felt like she was trying to achieve the infamous "happy ending" - jerky side strokes. Additionally when we were near the end she started throwing the lotion bottle on my legs while massaging the opposite side. She also was yawning throughout the massage. Overall, I tried to enjoy it but it wasn't a good massage. I thought about giving another therapist a chance but I think it's best to try another business. Went here by accident I actually mistakenly thought it was 'hand and stone' in Decatur. It's not! The quality is not the same. The customer service was sub par and my friend actually was turned away by one of the receptionists. Over some misunderstanding. I can see where the customer service failed in not wanting to honor customers to the fullest. The experience was not so pleasant. The massage was cool. I signed up for the membership in Dec 2018 since I like to get massages at least once a month. My first few experiences were okay but the massages weren't shorter than the "hour" that was advertised (false advertisement). I decided to be more attentive to the time after my first two visits and noticed they were exactly 48 - 50 mins. I inquired about this and was told there is a 5 min consultation before the message. Maybe my math is bad, but 60 mins minus 5 mins is 55 mins NoT 50 mins. Yes 5 mins of massage makes a difference and 10 even more so. Nowhere on the membership contract does it state the massages will be 50 or 55 mins. I can understand the 5 min consultation on your first visit but everything has been the same since, which means they have on file the areas I want massaged as well as the intensity. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff at the front desk are really nice and professional and the establishment is clean. I've tried 3 different massage therapists at this location and they were all just okay. One of them talked me to death and I didn't want to be rude and ask her to please to quiet. The location in buckhead has better therapists. Anyway, I cancelled my membership and will sign up with a different company. The lady at the front desk gladly cancelled my membership with no effort to retain my business, which was great for me but shows they don't really care. Fine with me! read more

I won a gift card to Massage Heights for a 60-minute service in a raffle. I was super excited to give it a shot since I'm someone who deals with a lot of muscle soreness from working out and get massages pretty frequently! I booked a massage over the phone and they were able to get me in the next day. When it's your first time, they ask that you come in 10-15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The receptionist at the front was very nice. My appointment was at 6:30 p.m. and my massage therapist, Monica, took me back at exactly that time. Monica was super sweet and took a few minutes to go over all of my concerns before getting started. By the time the massage began, about 8 minutes had already gone by. She did an amazing job of adjusting the pressure to what I prefer and obviously knows what she's doing. Unfortunately, some parts (especially those where I specified I had concerns) felt a bit rushed in order to squeeze a full body massage into less than an hour. When the session was over and it was time for me to get up and get dressed, I looked at the clock and it was only 7:20 p.m. So the massage itself was only roughly 40 minutes. I wasn't upset about this because my massage didn't cost me anything. However, if I had've paid their normal rate of $99.99 for a non-member, I think I'd be pretty pissed. I've been to several other massage therapists around Decatur who charge significantly less and actually massage you for the full hour, so it was a little disappointing that it was so condensed down. Also, they advertise "complimentary aromatherapy" with your massage. What that really means is you pick one of four scents, which they spray a bit of, and then it fades after a minute or two. I did get a sales pitch at the end, trying to convince me to sign up for a membership, but the receptionist wasn't too pushy and backed off when I said no. Overall, it was a nice experience, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and Monica did a great job. I've recently started back working out and after my body reminding me several times that I'm not a spring chicken anymore I scheduled an appointment at Massage Heights. My god! I had the best massage I've ever had in my life. I had a firm deep tissue massage with a hot stone add-on, my goodness Angelou did an amazing job. At the beginning and throughout the massage he made sure to make sure the temperature in the room and of the hot stones was not too much and he checked to be sure he wasn't applying too much pressure during the massage. He also explained that he would do a bit of stretching as well, which I wasn't sure of but it absolutely worked with the rest of the massage. He seemed to be very knowledgable about specific muscles and causes for them to be tight and ways I could loosen them up a little more. At the end of the 60 minute session I didn't want to leave. I was so satisfied with my service I purchased a membership and scheduled my next session with Angelou for 90 minutes. Lastly, I will say I had absolutely no intention of purchasing a membership. I had just made it up in my mind I'd just come every 3 months for a massage and be done, but for the discount you get on services it's kind of worth it and I like the option of being able to end the membership at any time. read more

Let me start off by saying that this is the most disorganized and disrespectful massage that I've ever had. Started off with my girlfriend booking a massage as a surprise for Veterans Day. When I got to the location I arrived 15 minutes early as it suggested so that I could process any paperwork. I wasn't taken back to my massage until almost 316 when my appointment was at 3 PM. During my massage the therapist had to stop during the middle of it so that she could go get additional towels. Not a big deal but definitely first time that I experience that. In addition, I did not get the massage that my girlfriend scheduled for me. They gave me a foot massage instead of a hot cupping massage. A few days later I noticed that my credit card was charged for the massage. After speaking with my girlfriend I found out that they did not charge her even though she put her information in when she booked the massage along with her credit card information and got a confirmation. I called the location to try to get everything straightened out and spoke with a young lady who refused to give her name. I explained the situation, that not only did I not get the massage that I was supposed to, that they charged the wrong credit card and that the massage started late and ended early. She proceeded to tell me that I was overreacting and that the manager was busy but would call me back within 72 hours. Which I felt like it was totally unacceptable. I then asked who was over the manager. She told me I could not speak to them. Again, she stated I was overreacting and started laughing in my face and again refused to give her name so that I could make a complaint about her as well. Overall worst customer service that I've ever experienced. I will say, while I was unhappy with the staff the massage therapist herself was good. I chose to book an appt. for the same day so I got whoever was available at that time. The salon has great customer service. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome by the woman at the front counter. I was given forms to fill out then a tempeture check was performed before calling me back to my room for a massage. I scheduled a 90 min massage because I typically schedule a 60 min massage and I walk away feeling unfulfilled. My masseuse was great. She hit all the right spots but she did have a delicate touch which made it a little had to get the knots out my shoulder. In addition to that I would be remised if I didn't mention the fact that there was a delay in getting me to the back for my massage and that time was taken from the time I actually got to spend on the massage table. Angelo is both a mystical healer and a clinical practitioner and in my first two-hour session with him he healed lower back pain that I have carried for the majority of my adult life. He is an incredibly talented therapist who is also incredibly respectful and careful to not be invasive while releasing muscles I didn't know I had. I have been to massage therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, dry tissue tigger point needling and, though all those therapists were helpful, I have never experienced pain relief like I did on Sunday. I've tried this place twice already and considering to join the membership. Both my visits have been top notch. The place is inviting, clean and very relaxing. I can just start relaxing as soon as I step in to this place! All the staff members are extremely kind as well! I had a 60 minutes deep tissue massage with hard pressure level. My therapist was able to provide a soothing and relaxing massage without making myself tensing up by feeling any pain. I was totally relaxed and felt great leaving after the massage!
