We have been fighting to have our account canceled since MARCH. My fiancé and I both had a membership here under one credit card and when we were getting ready to move to a city that Massage heights is not in, I went in to cancel the account. I noticed several months after we moved, we were still getting charged for one of the memberships, as they only canceled one, not both. I have called several times and gotten the exact same response that only the manager can cancel the membership and that they would put a note down to have the manager call and cancel the account, in which we have still yet to speak to anyone. The latest call on 6/21 I had a long conversation with a woman named Asia about it. She took down my phone number and notes about the dispute and said the manager is the only one who could cancel our account and she would call me. Yet again, we never received a phone call back. It is now AUGUST, and we're still getting charged. I'm now having to go through my credit card company to dispute the charges and have had to lock and replace the card so they stop charging me. We do not even live in the same state anymore so aren't even able to go talk to someone in person, and spending the time on the phone to get ahold of someone who's going to pass us on to a "manager" is not even worth the time. If you go here, DO NOT, sign up for the membership. You will be locked in and they will not let you go. read more

In January of 2021 I purchased a number of hours of massage for a set price. It was a good price and I was required to use the hours before July 4, 2021 or loose the remaining hours. No problem, used the hours. Good therapists, decent environment. Without any notice Massage Heights rolled me onto a monthly membership service for just under $80 a month which got 1 hour of massage. I did not ask for that and I did not want that. I tried calling to cancel and was told I needed to speak to a manager. I went to the office, told the same thing. Those managers must be busy cause they are never available and do t return calls. FINALLY spoke to a manager and got the membership cancelled and just to make it easy, I said I would leave the 1 hour on the books and collect it later. So it is later, I call today to get my I hour of massage. I verify with the person that called to confirm the appt that I had an hour on the books. He says I do. 10 minutes later he calls back to tell me my 1 hour had expired in October and I would have to pay full retail. I said that I was never informed of a time limit on that credit. I also explained that it wasn't full retail, it was full retail PLUS $80! Of course, he said I would need to talk to a manager. (I do understand it is not his fault). I said I would LOVE to discuss this with a manager. He puts me on hold and comes back to tell me that the manager said they had left a voicemail in July that explained the time limit. That didn't happen and the manager didn't have the guts to talk to me directly. They just sent this poor guy who has worked there for 1 month to tell me and expect him to get the earful. (I did not say to him what I was thinking). So, use extreme caution when dealing with Massage Heights. If you can get by the questionable business practices, the service at the Robertson Heights location is good. That is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. read more

Terrible. My husband booked me a prenatal massage. I arrived and they had me fill out all of the forms, then informed me that the person who was supposed to be doing the massage was not prenatal certified and they had to cancel. Very dissapointing. So I was in pain and desperate for a massage. Scheduled one for my friend and I (I am visiting her from out of town). We got a first time deal for $49.99 but they definitely work hard to up sell you. We up sold to a facial massage (about 2 minutes long and included in your hour for $12). You get about 50 minutes of an actual massage. The count the set up time and all of that in your hour and end about 5 minutes before your hour is up for you to get dressed and out of there. The massage itself was okay. Nothing special to be honest, but not bad either. The rooms were clean and they used lavender oil (they have 3 choices of EOs). The massage theraprist immediately tried to up sell me a massage as soon as she started (tried to sell me on a membership). They then try and sell you a membership as you leave. Constant up sells. I prefer no talking so I can enjoy my massage so I would likely go elsewhere next time. read more

Ok...so at the risk of making it harder for me to book my favorite massage therapist, I must give a 5 star review for Melissa. I've been a long time customer of Massage Heights and once my favorite therapist left for other opportunities, I was very concerned that I would not be able to find a good replacement. I contacted the manager Tiffany and she was wonderful. She offered me a plan to try out new therapists until I found the therapist that would meet my needs. She listened to my preferences and recommended Melissa. That was a great recommendation. I've been going to Melissa for 5 months now and she is absolutely incredible. Try the hot stones for an added treat. She has the technique down and I understand she is now training other therapists. Highly recommended. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! My experience was exceptional. My therapist Greg was amazing, he made me feel very comfortable and relaxed the entire time, I even fell asleep! The Front desk staff is great as well. They were very welcoming from the second I walked in the door. While I was checking out, the GM Tiffany was up there and she introduced herself to me and made me feel like I was one of the girls and we had great conversation. When I called to make an appointment, they were able to get me in the next day (yay!). The front desk area is small and basically used for checkin/checkout. I was several minutes early so I was happy when the receptionist showed me to a separate waiting area after she had me checked in. Ryan was my massage therapist and she focused most of my 90 minute session on my back and shoulders, which was fine as that area had really been bothering me lately. The massage tables have temperature controls and Ryan checked with me multiple times during the massage to make sure it was still to my liking. I liked her work on my back so much that I've already booked my next appointment with her. My massage was very good and I decided to sign up for a monthly membership when checking out. The receptionist did a very through job explaining the different packages and answering my questions. Only small negative is that Ryan is a talker so that might bother some. I was fine with it this time as I work solo and sometimes it's nice to have someone to chat with. If I do decide on a future visit that I want quiet time, I'll let my therapist know. read more

My husband and I booked massages here for our anniversary. The massages were supposed to be on Saturday, but one of their receptionists double booked, and we were forced to move our massage to the next day. When we originally booked, we booked 1.5 hour couple's massage WITH hot rock therapy. When we went in Sunday for our massages, the massages themselves were okay, but we didn't receive our hot rock therapy. Their reception staff messed up our booking YET AGAIN. We also didn't get the full 90 minutes of our massages. Then, as we're checking out, we're letting them know all of this, and the receptionists who were there were so unprofessional, arguing about how to check us out and whatnot. They only took $30 off for our troubles and we STILL ended up paying over $180 for mediocre massages. We will NEVER go here again. read more

It's been a minute, so I thought I'd write an updated review. Things have really gone downhill at this location. I've been a member for quite some time and I'm probably going to cancel my membership. I've had multiple occasions where my massage was cancelled last minute because the therapist called in sick or they had scheduling issues. I decided to try a different therapist and the front desk sold me pretty hard on a foot scrub. I ended up paying an extra $12 to have a foot scrub that took up 20 minutes of the massage which was then cut short. This is a common problem. I've found that if I book an hour massage, I usually have less than 30 minutes of actual massage time because they start late and end early. I think I literally had ten minutes of massage time when I paid an extra $12 for a foot scrub. I tried to get in with a new therapist and my appointment was cancelled last minute. I think it's interesting that they are quick to try to charge you if you cancel (I once had the flu and had to fight to have them remove a penalty... did they really want me there with a 103 degree fever?) but won't compensate for your time with last minute cancellations. When it happened a few months ago, the person at the front desk was like... "I am SO sorry we had to cancel. When you get here we'll have something at the front desk to make it up to you". When I got there, nothing. I'm not sure why I keep paying a monthly fee when I can't seem to get a reliable appointment. I recently received a receipt for a massage that never happened. I called the location and asked for an explanation. I guess they charged another Michelle's massage to my account? How does that even happen? If I hadn't have said anything, they would not have corrected it on their end. Anyways. I just wanted to update this because I gave such a glowing review before and I don't feel it's an accurate representation of my experience there. I have tons of unused credits and I shouldn't have this much trouble cashing them in. read more

For the third time in less than 6 months I got a call on the day of my appointment saying it would have to be rescheduled. The manager is terrible about returning calls to disgruntled customers, and after giving you "credit" for missed services then changes you anyway. At least today the phone call was 2 hours before the appointment, instead of 15 minutes before, like last time. I wish there was a way to give 0 stars. Avoid this location. read more

Worst massage ever with Renee. She only massaged for mb 20 min for an hour long massage. She messed with blanket and hot stones in warming thing for at least 20 min. She very lightly just rubbed hands or stones over my back and legs. I requested medium to hard massage. She only did one of my arms. She is terrible! Never going back to this place. When we moved here 3+ years ago from California, we had to find a new massage place. We use to have a membership at Massage Envy in Cali, and although they have them locally here, we thought we'd check around to see what else our new home had to offer. We stumbled across Massage Heights and have been members ever since our first trial massage. My first visit we did a couples massage but afterwards started going during our own times. Genie has been my therapist from the beginning and I believe she has the best hands. Her pressure is just right for my needs and can tell where I'm holding all my tension at. I will wait weeks if Genie isn't available for a 90 minute session. Yes, she's that awesome. I really shouldn't be telling everyone because then I'll never get an appointment with her....but she really deserves the accolades. read more

First time visiting here was disappointing. We had a couple's massage with two masseuses who were unprofessional and didn't listen to what we wanted. Our massage didn't go the full hour and the elevation foot massage took a good chunk out of the body massage. The owner kindly reached out to see if we would be willing to give Massage Heights another chance. The second time around was much better. We each had masseuses who asked us specifically what we wanted and catered the massages to fit those needs. I wish each masseuse put the same attention into their massage, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. However, the customer service is excellent and they definitely want their clients to be happy. read more

From the moment I entered, everyone was very friendly. I appreciate the private and quiet waiting area after you check in. It'd be nice if they had side tables or something to set your drink on while you wait. That being said, they were very prompt with their appointment time and the wait was minimal. I have figured out that they give you a great therapist for your first visit, then sell you hard on the membership, then suddenly when it's time to rebook, you got stuck with a therapist who doesn't care at all about personal preference. I was really happy at getting an appointment for a couple's massage at such short notice! Jordan & Destiny at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. My husband was very satisfied with Melissa. He has back issues and had significant relief from her massage. I sit at a computer desk all day and have tension in both shoulders. Matt was able to work them out and give me advice on what I can do to eliminate tension while sitting at a desk all day. Do NOT buy an online gift certificate for this company. If you do, like I did, you will be purchasing from Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio. Sounds ok right? WRONG!! I bought $100 gift certificate and have yet to receive it! I called the local salon and they told me they are independently owned and have nothing to do with those online gift certificates. Would have been nice to know on your website, since you DO advertise them as if they are coming from you. I've emailed and called Corporate numerous time to no avail. Massage Heights really went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule I was so excited to be able to have a massage even though I reached out last minute during Spring Break they still managed to accommodate my request. From the time I arrived until I left I felt pampered and relaxed. My therapist was very knowledgeable and asked a lot of great questions that resulted in an Awesome massage. I signed up for a 6 month membership I liked the fact that they had a no pressure sales approach and did not make me feel obligated to become a member. The friendly manager, receptionist, and wonderful therapists made it impossible to not take advantage of the Awesome Deal and membership. I've been a member here for several years and receive monthly or twice monthly massages. I'm always greeted promptly by the desk staff and they most always remember my name. I use their online booking system to book the same massage therapist each time. Becca is the best! She is intuitive about knowing and finding the troubled areas in my shoulders and back. Best of all she spends time on my feet which most therapists just gloss over. I prefer a firm pressure and she does an excellent job. I've experienced other therapists at this location and I've been satisfied with all of them. The location is clean and well maintained. read more
