OK. I was quite prepared to write a scathing review of this place, but my wife talked me off the ledge. I received a (Groupon) gift certificate for this location more than a year ago. Covid-19 happened. Communication broke down. It was mass confusion on everyone's part. But Massage Heights' manager agreed to honor my third-party purchase, and the rest is history. First, the place is clean and relaxing, and the staff us quite pleasant. Unlike other massage joints, there is absolutely no upscale pressure here. Wonderful. The massage though... I'm a middle-aged dude, and I don't exercise or stretch like I should. My upper-back felt like Mike Tyson punched it a dozen times in the freezing cold. I couldn't sit on the couch for two minutes without muscle spasms causing me shortness of breath. Enter Nick at Massage Heights. This guy knows his muscle groups. And he also knows that when someone like me checks off the "deep massage" from the menu, to take it easy. "Is this deep?" I asked him. "No, it's mostly firm," he said. "It's been too long since your last massage." He was correct. In fact, my last massage took place a couple years earlier at a joint where 20 other people were in the room. The dude there pretty much did a piledriver on my backside. It hurt like hell, but felt better a few days later. Nick at Massage Heights, as it turns out, is quite educated in the muscle groups (he owns a master's in kinesiology). He might just be my savior, too. I'll be back, for sure ... because I don't see myself exercising or stretching like I should. And I'll expect to leave this place feeling better, just as I did this time. read more

I took my fiance here for a couple's massage. I was disappointed, especially since I used to have a membership with Massage Heights in the past. The front desk girls were nice and cordial upon entering. The store front was clean and peaceful as it should be. We were offered water prior to our massages and I used the restroom beforehand as well. The restroom was tidy and had an aromatherapy diffuser which was a nice touch. But, when it came time to call us back to our appointment, the ladies who came out didn't know we had a couple's massage scheduled. So, we lost a couple minutes from our scheduled appointment since they had to get the couple's room ready. Finally, we got into the room and the masseuses asked what pressure preference we wanted. I noted on the intake form, as well as to the masseuse, that I wanted firm/deep pressure since I tend to have significant knots in my deltoids and lats. But what I got was more of a Swedish massage. I mentioned twice throughout the massage that I wanted more pressure, but the pressure increased for a few minutes and then went back to Swedish massage pressure. A few times my masseuse felt the knots in my back, but wouldn't knead or work them out and instead would gloss over and move on to another body part. Our 1-hour massage ended a few minutes early and the time lost at the beginning of the massage was not accounted for. For the cost of this massage, I would have preferred multiple full-body reflexology massages in Bellaire. Totally not worth the cost. This will likely be my last time at Massage Heights. read more

"It's a good hurt"...repeat that over and over as she does her magic... if you do not like deep tissue do not I repeat do not, request deep tissue from Miss O. So first of all the massage was just okay. We started exactly at 3:00 but ended at 3:45....we paid for a 60 min massage. Second they are shady about their cancelation policy. You have to cancel 30 days in advance, you can't cancel over the phone (even with Covid) they make you go in. Then the manager calls you just to inform you you're being charged for another month but do you want to go ahead and book your mediocre massage with us? On top of that if you don't use those credits they expire within 30 days and you loose your money. All around this place sucks and they are not professional, the manager didn't care at all and was rude. Also the front desk receptionists don't wear masks. read more

To start, only reason I gave 1 star is because the location was clean. I booked a couples massage, one Swedish massage for my spouse and a deep tissue massage for myself. I requested a male therapist for the deep tissue massage but was given a lady therapist. Upon arrival, the receptionist hands us an IPad/digital note to check in with. Within the check in paperwork, it asks what type of massage you are requesting and which areas you want specific attention on. I highlighted Neck, Shoulders and Back only. I asked the lady therapist if she was sure she could give a deep tissue massage and she assured me that she was going to give a deep tissue massage not a relaxing massage. SHE LIED. During the massage I had to repeatedly asked for more pressure and specific concentration on only the NECK, SHOULDERS AND BACK because she was massaging all other areas except for the main areas of Interest. She kept assuring me that she was going to get more intense/deeper throughout the session. During the whole massage, she never applied more than a slight rub. When it was all over, she asked how the massage was and I again stated I wanted a deep tissue with more pressure like I asked for before and during the massage. She then stated, THAT THE PRESSURE SHE GAVE WAS THE BEST SHE COULD DO AND I SHOULD ASK FOR A MALE THERAPIST NEXT TIME While checking out I made my complaint and was told that there was no male therapist there. But when I booked over the phone, I was assured there was. No discount was given, not even an apology. I was told I could book another session, at full price, with a different therapist. I highly recommend not spending any money there and DEFINITELY not giving them your card information. I was charged $120 in one day after attempting to cancel my membership 2 months ago. When I spoke to them they said they showed no record of me cancelling. I called 2 months ago to cancel and they failed to mention I needed to come in to cancel and left me under the impression it was being taken care of. I was not charged for the month of July so I assumed it was done and now here in August I was charged twice. When I told her i want my money back she told me I had credits toward a massage. When I told her I don't want credit towards a massage she said then use it for a facial. I'm absolutely appalled by their way of handling this issue. read more

My massage therapist (who I will refer to as Magic Mark) really knew what he was doing and helped relieve a particularly nasty knot in my shoulder. He was completely professional and very helpful with letting me know what to expect. The girl at the front desk? I wasn't too impressed with her. I got checked in and filled out my paperwork. The young lady came over to talk to me about the massage and asked if I wanted any "addons" (hot stones, facial or foot scrub). I explained this was my first time so I wasn't sure if I wanted addons. Instead of explaining what each addon was, she said "Oh, OK. So you just want the regular massage." I was like.......OK. Missed opportunity to sell me something! When my massage was done, the same girl was up at the front to check me out. She asked if I wanted a membership to which I replied "No, thank you." A month goes by and there's a charger on our account we call on was told I was the 1st draft of our membership that was understandable but that where the problem begins. LOVED IT! I came here for a prenatal massage and facial. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and really desperately needed a good massage for my back and legs. My massage therapist was O. She was AMAZING!!! She worked on all the right areas without me even pointing them out. I felt very comfortable with her too. I will definitely be back for another prenatal massage with O. Then I got a facial done with Cindy. It was a very relaxing and pleasant facial to follow my massage. Cindy couldn't use any special machines since I'm pregnant but still my skin felt really soft and clean afterwards. She is super friendly and made the experience very comfortable.
