I've been going to Julie for my brow waxing and facials for 5 years (I can't remember). She has always done and excellent job of shaping my brows. I've been to other places before her and have always ended up with my eyebrows to be half waxed off. And her facials....omg. Oh wow!! I dont know why I've been cheating myself by using my own clippers for under arm and bikini shaves. I didn't get my underarms done by Julie because I had them done at the nail salon while away on business and the results were great which inspired me to do more and find a local small business and thank you to Yelp I found Julie. Julie was the best, I was if course a bit nervous of the pain associated with a Brazilian and I dont have anything to compare to other than my eyebrow waxing which you cant talk too much during those and I've read tons of reviews on Brazilian so was yep a bit nervous. Well took it like a champ thanks to great explanations from Julie throughout the process as well as Awesome general discussions so somewhat of a distraction but I didn't want to be in the spa screaming or crying like a baby either I dont know what you get at the large chain esthetician but you should support Small Business/Local business you won't be disappointed. Let me start off by saying that I think Julie is great at what she does. She is knowledgeable and good at small talk. The product service is always satisfactory. The low star review is due to the negative customer service experience I had. I scheduled a lip & bikini wax online. Later, Julie texted me explaining that growth needs to be x# days for a bikini wax. This would have been my first wax so I didn't know this beforehand. I told her that I wasn't sure exactly how many days it had been growing but probably less than she recommended. Nonetheless, I still needed a lip wax so I asked her if I could just keep the appointment anyway and she could check if my growth was enough. She said I could so I did. Come the day of my appointment, she checks and says only 60-75% would come out according to my current bikini hair growth, and that it was up to me to decide. I thought for a second and passed, saying I would come back but I still needed a lip wax. As many of you can infer, a lip wax is way cheaper than a bikini wax. My lip wax was great. But she made sure to tell me that every time she came in & I cancelled a service, she was losing money. In addition, when I was digging through my bag to pay, I pulled out my card when she said, "honestly if you're gonna pay with card it's not even worth it for me to charge you, I'll just let you go." I felt so much shame & embarrassment in this moment. I made sure to pay her cash for the service ($5) and distinctly remember tipping her at least $10. I also apologized, to which she replied "well now you know." Looking back, I regret my response to this situation and will not be back. I did not deserve to be chastised like a child when I asked her beforehand if coming in to check my bikini growth at my lip wax would be alright. She agreed. I value supporting small, local businesses but not at this expense. read more

Julie is AHHHH-MAZING. I have been loyal to her for several years now, and she has never disappointed me once. I usually go to her for her facials, and by the end of my appointment, my skin already shows signs of overall improvement. She's really knowledgeable about the ingredients in her products (I often ask questions during the facial about stuff that smells good and tingles) and she is not like most estheticians that just rush through the appointment; she takes her time to give me a quality facial. I have also come to her for massages, which are so relaxing that I tend to fall asleep within the first five minutes. She is never pushy with the Eminence Products, but whenever I take her up on her recommendations, I've had pretty good results (especially with the HOT Eight Greens Phyto Masque paired with the Clear Skin Probiotic Masque...works wonders for me). One of my SILs and I are a bit of spa junkies. Her best facial had previously been the Red Door oxygen facial which is quite expensive.
