Awesome Massage! $39 for a full one hour massage (similiar to massage envy) + tip. Yes, they ask you if you would like to join the membership. Similiar to a gym membership, you pay monthly and you get one massage a month at a reduced price. I personally think it's a great idea, this way it FORCES you to take a break monthly! I had a FANTASTIC MASSAGE, with lavender oil and great music. Not too cold, not too hot. My massage therapist was very nice, professional and asked me throughout if I would like more/less pressure. For Christmas gifts I bought 3 certificates. This was a package deal that was suppose to include an additional massage session but without a certificate. The bonus massage would be awarded by email. I expected the followup email to be sent in a timely manner. However, no followup email regarding the free massage ever came. But, I started to recieve unwanted emails pushing their services. I have unsubscribed and blocked repeatedly and purposefully requested they STOP sending me emails. This has had no effect. I do not appriciate being chumped and being ingnored. read more

I previously had a membership for years and cancelled it this last year. I was considering restarting it. I received an email about an offer they had going on for returning guest that if I purchase a massage at full price with hot stone, I'd receive 2 additional sessions on them. I paid the full price for my 1st appointment. After my second massage session, I was told I owed $. They proceeded to tell me that offer only gave me free hot stones on those next two sessions and I needed to pay for the session. No where in the email did it say it was only the hot stones that would be free. Nothing in fine print. Their marketing is BS and false advertising. I won't be returning to a massage height. No one should trust the emails that they get about "great" offers they have going on. read more

I had a massage and facial on July 3 and proceeded to leave a $30 total tip, $15 for each lady to split who took care of me. I have a $56 charge on my credit card now. This is AFTER one of the ladies who works there scheduled the incorrect date for my massage and facial, then my mom was told (she bought this for me as a gift) that I CALLED AND CANCELLED the original appointment that was supposed to be June 19 but the person speaking with my mom scheduled it for June 12. Then they proceeded to lose the gift card purchased by my mom. I never cancelled, it was supposed to be scheduled for the 19th, they lost the gift card, AND NOW I'm being charged almost DOUBLE to have some lotion rubbed on my face and back. This is terrible practice of a company and I will never be returning. read more

I initially became a member at this Massage Heights in August of 2008. I encouraged my husband to also get a membership which he did in May of 2009. Due to our favorite therapists leaving and being unable to find another one that we liked, wecancelled our memberships in September of 2010. While reviewing my year-end bank statement yesterday, I was surprised to see automatic payments were still being withdrawn from our account. I immediately called the WDM location and they confirmed that my husband's and my account had been properly closed 17 months ago. They told me to bring in my bank statements and they would credit our account for this mistake. When I got to the WDM location, I learned that these automatic withdrawals were due to a 6-month Valentine gift I had purchased for my adult daughter in February of 2010. I was sold 6 massages as a "Valentine Special". At the top of the document, it prominently stated this was a 6 month contract. I made it very clear that I did not want my daughter to be tied into a long-term contract. The sales associate told me this was not a full-fledged membership. Therefore, I thought the auto-withdrawal approval box that I initialed was authorizing 6 monthly withdrawals. Instead, I have now been informed that it meant continuous withdrawals until I officially cancelled the contract. Admittedly, we should have discovered these withdrawals from our bank account long ago. However, since I purchased the gift and my husband balances our bank account, along with the fact that our adult daughter did not live with us... none of us put it all together, until now. There is no excuse for a company to continually charge an unsuspecting customer for 17 months when it was apparent we were not utilizing their service. If I had understood the meaning of that clause in this contract, I certainly would have cancelled it at the end of the 6 month period.It appears to me that your company, or at least this franchise owner, deliberately took advantage of the situation. The statements authorizing automatic withdrawals are misleading and deceptive. The title of the contract that I signed clearly stated it was a "6 Month Contract", but instead I was charged for 23 months. These withdrawals would have continued had my husband not questioned them. In the end, I was charged four times what I thought I was paying for 6 massages. I am extremely frustrated that Massage Heights could automatically withdraw these funds from my bank account for an unlimited period of time. read more

Even if you sign their form to end service, they will keep billing month after month after month and deny that you signed the form. Talk about the opposite of what a massage is suppose to be!!! After a mistake we ended up at the wrong location and were 4 minutes late to our appointment. Upon arrival we were scolded for being late and after a 10 minute wait escorted back to our couples massage room that was actually just 2 rooms with a tiny adjoining door. Prior to starting they informed us that since we were late they would be cutting 20 minutes from our massage but still charging us full price. We decided we should probably reschedule as we didn't want to pay full price for half the massage. Got up front to reschedule and was informed we also had to pay $40 additional to even be allowed to reschedule. I was obviously upset by that and got a a total "Its not our fault so deal with it" attitude. Definitely not a place we would ever feel comfortable returning to for relaxation so I paid my $40 and canceled my Groupon for the massage. This was my Valentine's Day gift to my wife so the rudeness of the staff managed to not only ruin our potential massage but also the gift. I rode home to a wife in tears from being yelled at by staff. With the # of massage options in town I would think customer service would be a higher priority not to mention the relaxation factor. Needless to say we will not return and I don't recommend you trying it either! read more

Average massage ..... I've received many massages over the years, and I would rate this as mediocre. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing with a tranquil feel. Nice relaxing music in the background and the massage table and linens were nice and comfortable. My massage therapist was pleasant and accommodating. However, I DEFINITELY have had better massages. Be aware that they will try to sell you products, and hard sell you into a monthly membership. I was aware of this, but was not aware I had to make a decision at that moment or else my massage today would cost more. I asked if I could have a day or two to think it over, and they said "yes" they could still waive the $39 enrollment fee but I would have to pay for the "non member price" massage for today. So I walked out of there spending much more than I thought I would. read more
