Overall: Okay. I probably would only come back to use the $25 gift certificate we received. I certainly felt less stressed afterwards because I hadn't gotten a massage in a while, but it was not the type of massage I wanted nor enjoyed. I would have to make sure to find a therapist that does not incorporate Thai modalities, if that's even available here. Really great front desk service, though! BOOKING I booked a couples massage for me and my boyfriend online for 8/23 at 1:30 PM. The online booking was easy enough, although you have to make an account online; there's no option to check out just as a guest. Also, there was no way to add one add-on for me and not for my boyfriend, and vice versa, so we had to skip the add-ons altogether. When you add an add-on, it is added for both guests in the online process. When you remove the add-on, it is removed for both guests. When I received the confirmation emails, I noticed it was weird that they wouldn't show in GMail. The emails were blank. I had to select "View entire message" for the emails to actually show. The email containing the receipt after the appointment showed as just code. Again, I had to click on "View entire message" to see that it was actually just a receipt. I normally have no issues with receiving emails from any source. This is the only time I've ever had this issue with an email. CUSTOMER SERVICE Upon arrival, the receptionist advised us that the previous appointment came in late so our appointment would start delayed, which was fine with us. I appreciated the notice. Our appointment was for 1:30 PM, but didn't start until 1:50 PM due to the delay from the previous appointment, which we didn't mind but maybe someone else may mind if they had concrete plans afterwards. The receptionist was very communicative with us about the delay and kept updating us every 5-10 minutes while we waited and was very apologetic, which I appreciated. When bringing us to our room, the receptionist told us that we would be given free aromatherapy and free hot stone add-ons to make up for the wait. Really great customer service! The only downside was that when the actual massage happened, we didn't actually receive any aromatherapy during the massage. We did get the free hot stones, which were probably the better add-on anyway. But it was a little disappointing to not be delivered what we were told. Upon checking out, we were also given a small free gift of some yarn-art roses as an additional apology for the wait. Cute and it actually smelled like roses! MASSAGE The actual massage was okay, but it was not what I was expecting or particularly wanted. We were not introduced to our massage therapists prior to disrobing and lying on the table. When the therapists entered the room, they did not introduce themselves either, so I have no idea who our therapists actually were. After the massage, I received an email for a feedback request, who stated the massage therapist's name as Joy-Wei Wu, but I don't know if that was my massage therapist or my boyfriend's. Some parts of the massage were really great and relaxing while other parts were really unenjoyable. It seemed to be some fusion of deep tissue massage and Thai massage, and I do not like Thai massages. The massage was fairly rough at some points. I was expecting Swedish, relaxing, or deep tissue massage but instead I was stretched, pounded on, and lifted off the table, which I did NOT enjoy. The pressure was pretty good for most of my massage, except for my thighs. She was really rough with my thighs and it hurt. It was only for a couple seconds though, so I didn't mention anything. My boyfriend next to me did not receive those same modalities. He said afterward that he was actually concerned about me during the massage because of the pounding he heard. I guess it depends on who your massage therapist is, but I would have like to have been notified before the massage that these modalities would be used on me, because I do NOT enjoy them. I would have asked to switch therapists with my boyfriend if I knew beforehand. It also seemed like at some points the massage therapist got onto the table I was lying on, which is not what I was expecting. My massage therapist did work on the knots on my shoulders, which I greatly appreciated and she seemed to be able to get out most of them! It felt like she was able to get under the knot/muscle which was remarkable and felt really good. Again, no aromatherapy was used during the massage despite us being told it would be added onto our couples massage. read more

The massage itself was good, and I have no complaints about the therapist. However, the experience with the host completely changed my impression of the spa. My friend and I arrived about 5 minutes late due to an unexpected work emergency. Before coming, we had already completed all of the required forms online because we wanted to save time. I expected that we would simply check in and accept losing those 5-6 minutes. Instead, the host first asked us to fill out a physical form. When I explained that we had already completed everything online, she only then opened the system to check. There didn't seem to be any preparation to welcome arriving guests or verify their information beforehand. As a result, we spent another 10 minutes waiting while she looked everything up. By the time our massage actually started, we had lost around 15 minutes of our scheduled 60-minute session. We paid about $270 for the treatment, which works out to roughly $70 worth of service time lost. Is it really reasonable to penalize customers this much over being only 5 minutes late. Especially when the additional delay came from the check-in process itself? If someone is 10 or 15 minutes late, I can understand shortening the service. But this situation didn't feel fair at all. The host also explained that the appointments are "back-to-back," meaning every service runs exactly on the hour (5-6, 6-7, 7-8). That made me wonder: does the spa only have two therapists available? If so, that seems like a risky scheduling model with no flexibility for unexpected situations affecting either customers or staff. I came here expecting a relaxing spa day, but instead I left feeling frustrated before the massage even began. Better preparation and more customer-focused service at the front desk would make a significant difference. read more

First time getting a massage, I am in recovery from my pregnancy, I went in 4 weeks postpartum. Made my schedule online, selected which date and time, submit my reservation with my card info, they also let you do add-on to the massage. I selected 90 minute massage versus the 60 minutes. It was really nice, I needed the relaxation badly. I went in to the reception table, wrote in the form they have included which area of your body need more attention to. So you'll circle in which part of your body would like the massage on. I circled my lower back and arms that needed attentive. I had the pleasure of getting my massage from Joy. She was great, she definitely targeted area I needed to recover, during the session she asked me first if some of the massage was alright so I wouldn't get hurt or uncomfortable and I appreciate that. There were oil massage, and hot towel to wipe the oil off. I did the aromatherapy scalp massage, that was really nice. My head was aching so much so I really like that. Definitely gets a little oily after though if you do get it. After the session was done, I got clothed, and they offer me water to rehydrate. There was also a shower included there too if anyone needs to shower afterwards. I would have liked some more time on the parts where I was hurting more, it'll be nice to have more of the massage on one part than the others for sure, but overall it was a good experience. Really focused on the areas I mentioned when filling out their form. The manager was there and I let her know that it was great and this is how I expected my first massage to be. She apologized again. I thanked her for inviting me back. She then ASKED if I would like to leave gratuity for Coco. I reminded her that I tipped during my first massage even though I didn't enjoy the experience & that since this was a make-up I didn't bring a tip. Because of that I deducted a star.
