I broke my foot! I went through being in a cast, then different types of braces, then PT. But after 4 months, I was still in a great deal of pain. A friend of mine suggested going to a medical massage therapist, and when I mentioned this to my doctor, he thought it would be a good idea as well. Laura was amazing! She quickly found the extremely tight muscles in my calves that were affecting my foot and causing the pain. After one session, I felt so much better. I continued going weekly for about one and a half months. She would give me "homework assignments" which I would do and report back. This helped her know where and what types of massage therapy would work the best for this injury. I moved to every other week for a few weeks. But, then, there was no pain! My foot was healed. Laura is by far the best massuse I've found after an 8 year search in LA--I like a deep tissue, get in there and work it out kind of massage and she does just that. I went to Laura to help with shoulder and neck pain. I am very particular about massages, and skeptical about massage helping with injuries. But her massage not only helped with my neck and shoulder pain, but also helped with back pain and overall stress. It wasn't so much a massage as a focused muscle treatment. Now she's working with me on a knee injury, and it's an effective and essential tool in helping me train for running again after a long time our of the game. I'm not into the spiritual side of the massage, so we don't do the reiki or energy healing, and she's fine with that. She's willing to go either way. So she focuses on the physiology and body mechanics that I'm comfortable with when she works on my shoulders, neck, or knee. She's also very good at listening to me when it hurts or I could use a little more pressure. I wouldn't categorize this as a "relaxing" massage like the kind that one would get at a spa. But I come away every time feeling like my muscles are healing and with far less pain. If you have a sports injury, or any kind of muscle or joint pain, I highly recommend Laura's massage. read more

Laura is an amazing massage therapist who has helped me avoid surgery for years. I have been seeing her for neck and upper back pain that I had been chasing for years. I had been to several doctors who to put me on pain meds and wanted to do surgery for the bulging discs in my neck. For me, I wanted to go a more conservative route, with surgery being the very last attempt to fixing my neck/back pain. During my first visit with Laura, she listened carefully as I described my pain and other issues and formulated a treatment plan for me and she has also been able to build upon the work of my physical therapist. Finally found someone experienced!! I was having problems sitting down, couldn't tolerate even 2 min, i spent most of my day in bed for a few months, luckily found Laura, who had an idea of how to treat this injury (piriformis muscle syndrome)... you'd be surprised how many people were like, " what's that???!!" session after session my tolerance level for sitting went higher and higher, i just saw my first movie in a theatre in 7 months!! By far the best masseuse I've been to in LA. I really can't recommend her enough. When I got to other masseuses I feel like they only skim the surface. Laura gets deep in the muscle, making it relaxed throughout the entire muscle, rather than just the top layers. My neck, shoulder, and back are always stiff, but whenever I leave I feel like I can move easier and breathe easier. Something about her massages "open" me up, and I leave feeling great. I have been seeing Laura for several years. Trigger point therapy had been recommended to me by several people for a sciata type of pain down one leg but they also warned it would be extremely painful. I found Laura via Yelp but I was so nervous I almost cancelled our first appointment but when I told her about this she looked horrified and explained that she believed causing pain to be counter-productive. For the first time in about 6 months I was on the road to recovery. Because of my stressful desk job I see her once per week for "maintenance" and flare ups of shoulder pain, carpal tunnel, and TMJ symptoms. She is so intuitive about locating the source of the pain I describe and such a sweet delightful person I look forward to seeing her ever week. I cannot rave enough about Laura Sadler and her work as a medical masseuse. I first began seeing Laura about 4 years ago when I was experiencing excruciating neck pain. It had become so bad that it was radiating down my arm, causing numbness and pain in my hand. I had seen a chiropractor for months, with no relief, when I finally found Laura on the internet and went in for my consultation and first visit. Within just that first session of seeing her, my pain was greatly reduced and after a few more sessions, was nearly gone. My life had become miserable dealing with all of that pain for so long, and to me, Laura was a godsend. I have continued to see her almost every month since that first session. She is not just a massage therapist, but someone greatly gifted in healing. I am always impressed by her knowledge of human anatomy. When I have pain in one area of my body, she is always able to reduce it, but also determine its source, which is often not where the pain actually is. She is then able to employ trigger point therapy to those targeted spots. This is the reason I believe she is always so successful at helping me and her other clients. She is also always able to recommend exercises and advice to continue the healing process at home. Added to all of that, she is kind, caring, and compassionate. She sees clients out of her home office in Burbank, which is quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. Her rate is $85 an hour, which is a bargain considering how gifted she is at healing. Whenever a friend of mine has an injury or pain, I always refer him or her to Laura. I truly cannot recommend her services enough! read more

This massage therapist is the best. After months of discomfort and increasing reduction of mobility in my neck and shoulders, Laura Sadler was able,to help me after the first session. I am now able to do such actions as turn my head see over my shoulder when driving and lift my arms to blow my hair dry. The pain is nearly completely gone. When I had a brief flare-up, Laura eliminated it with one visit. She was able to help me far more successfully than a physical therapist whom I saw for twelve visits!! I am not a massage connoisseur, but Laura is very skilled and knowledgable. Her trigger-point massage immediately began to release the painful areas and she gave me strategies to help at home.
