I have been coming here for quite a few years now as a member. The front desk ladies are always courteous and kind. My favorite massage therapist is Louanne. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is. She is extremely knowledgeable and warm and empathetic. If I try to book her and she happens to be booked up, my second go-to person is Daniel. He does an excellent job as well. Both Louanne and Daniel can do Deep Tissue or Swedish, depending on the level I need during my visit. I appreciate the warm herbal teas and the ice cold bottled waters in the lounge area. Not every massage place has this to offer, but they should. Another Groupon find that offered a great massage at an exceptional price! I've wanted to try them for a while, since they're so close to home. The studio is beautiful and scene. The vibe is extremely peaceful from the check in desk to waiting room and the hallway of massage rooms. The massage was excellent! The massage therapist did an excellent job! It was so relaxing! The pressure was perfect, and she did a great job untangling one of my knots in my left shoulder! After the hour massage, I got the complementary 15 minute water bed massage. It was nice, it hit some of my pressure points. At the end, the receptionist told me about the promo they had for $75 a month membership, which includes a massage monthly. I have been looking for a new massage place and found a Groupon to be able to give them a try. Once you walk in you are greeted by the receptionist to do your check in and fill paperwork if it is your first time in. Then, you are taken to the waiting room, were you can have water or tea. It is spacious with plenty of rooms for massage or facials. I was there for a massage and I got Robert, which I was told does a good deep tissue massage. He sure did! I was in pain when I came in and left feeling better! He was nice and attentive and checked on me throughout the massage to make sure I was okay. I wrapped up with a 15 minute in the hydro bed, which added to the relaxation and good experience. I had to remind the receptionists as they almost forgot, glad I asked. I have had a membership here for years. Despite wanting to leave a bad review many, many times, I never have. I occasionally get a good massage here but unfortunately there is so much turnover because of the poor, poor management (or lack thereof) and rude front desk. I have so many services racked up because I've had so many bad services and as soon as I finally have a good one, the person is gone. Michael is amazing if you are looking for a good massage, but I would not get the membership! They have canceled services on me last minute and charged my card when I have tons of services racked up. I have scheduled calls with managers in the past and they never call me. This place is an absolute mess. Today I called at 5:01 and was unable to cancel a service because I was one minute late. Valentina was extremely rude and kept trying to explain to me why she was interrupting me. It was the opposite of the relaxing night I was looking for.... and if they actually answered the phone on the first several rings, I would've been right on time. I've been a member here for almost a year and I am shocked that this isn't averaging 5 stars. Its the cleanest and most spa like environment and the therapists are incredible. Daniel is my favorite and he is great at making my bad knee feel more manageable. I've been able to regain flexibility in my leg due to the pain relief I've been able to get from their massages. The place was clean and i like that they have a lounge area where you can wait and have coffee. They have a lot of rooms to accommodate clients. Alyssa was good. The only thing i dont like about their service is you dont get a head massage. I think they charge extra for the head massage. Also, i know its part of their strategy to get you to sign up for their monthly services but it is a bit time consuming to listen to all these deals after a relaxing massage. Please, just email us the deals. If we want to sign up, we will sign up. But dont let us listen to the spill after a massage service. some people just want to go home. I was gifted a GC years ago for two services. After my first service, the ultra high pressure sales pitch at checkout was such a turnoff that I wasn't sure that I wanted to redeem a second service. Talk about undoing any zen! I recently reached out to redeem my second service and they told me I had only $2 remaining on my $150 GC, even though they could see where only $76 dollars was used at the time of my one service. A manager was supposed to call me back and never did. I went in person and the manager was of no help even when she discovered the issue. The person charged me/the gc twice at the time of my one and only service. Instead of issuing a new card to correct the mistake, I was told that she needed to contact the owner, and that they take time to get back to her. No apology either. What is the point of having a manager? I am still waiting for this to be made right and regardless of how long I waited to redeem my service, an error was made on their end and essentially stole money. Do not go here! I arrive 10 minutes early to my appointment. I was gifted certificate when I arrived they said they could not honor the certificate because the barcode wasn't legible. Instead of trying to accommodate and apologizing that I wasn't going to be able to get the facial since the barcode was unreadable. My bestie bought me a Groupon massage from MassageLuXe and I was stoked to try a new place. It's clean and pretty, just as you'd hope your massage venue to be. Massage LuXe was essentially a Massage Envy. A dozen or more rooms with as many "therapists" turning people over every 50 minutes. (You don't actually get an hour with your hour massage..) They tried to sell me a package at the end and join their membership, just like ME or Hand and Stone. The only thing better about this place is their "Luxe" machine, which was pretty fab. Remember those tubes at the mall you could pay to get in and it was like a water massage but you didn't get wet? They had one there and you could adjust the pressure and how much of your body for sprayed. The massage itself was just okay. The guy (I won't say his name here; he was nice) definitely was itching to get out of there. I was his last appointment of the day and definitely made me feel like it too. He didn't seems to know muscle groups or basic physiology, as he just rubbed hard and fast. It was fine for a $35 Groupon, but not for full price. It was better than not having one but not definitely not in the top 50% either, however that machine was perfection. read more

Got a Groupon for this location to see if we (me and my husband) wanted to snag a membership. The front desk was polite and nice but the masseuses were pretty bad. We upgraded our experience to the couples room and paid a 5$ per person upgrade charge. Once in the room the masseuses asked where our problem areas were which is pretty standard procedure. When the massage started we just knew it was going to be bad. It literally felt like lotion was rubbed on and wiped off with a hot towel. None of the problem areas were address. I know we got a Groupon but they missed on a potential repeat client. We ended up tipping them still out of just manners but we will never come back to this location. read more

Even though I came a little late for my massage and I lost out on that time... the quality of my service overall was exceptional. Once I walked in I was impressed with the nice decor. They immediately took me to my room. My friend came with me and they were kind enough to take her to a private lounge stocked with hot tea and water upon request while I got my massage. So don't worry boyfriends, hubbies or friends you got a place to chill. Diane took very good care of me. She was very attentive towards my needs and preferences. Ranging from deep tissue to Swedish massage. She quietly asked me how things felt as she massaged me and direct me through out the massage. I felt very comfortable and calm. Afterwards they explained the corporate package to me and I signed up. The prices were great and I'm very happy with my membership. The only downfall of my visit was losing part of my massage and that the hydroluxe for after the massage was down so I lost out on my 15 mins. The woman at the desk offered me a monthly package which was explained to be $10 for the first month and $65 for each month after that with freedom to cancel it at any time. It sounded like a good deal so I signed up. Well, I found out shortly after that I am moving suddenly for work, I called to cancel and they told me I can't cancel until I've made the first $65 payment. I thought trying it out for a month would only be $10 but now I'm out $75. I understand this information was in the form I signed but I feel the way it was explained to me was dishonest. read more

Its nearly impossible to get a weekend appointment unless you book over a week in advance and other locations don't have this problem. I ended up getting an appointment 2 days in advance and then was called 10 mins before the time (waking my 11 month old who I was just putting down for a nap) telling me my therapist was sick and had to cancel. They offered a noon appointment which I was able to arrange my schedule to fit but then they told me it would be with the person who just called out sick! "oh she's just sick for the 10am". Tried to give away an hour of massage time that was build up to my mother as a gift. Called days prior to make sure everything arraigned and it was understood that my minutes were to be used but she would be the one receiving the massage. I was told that because my mom was already in the system there is no problem. So my mother enters on the day of the massage and is told that she cannot use my minutes. She can only reinstate her membership to receive the massage. Massage Luxe MO: 1. get people to join and accrue minutes/hours 2. make it hard to use these hours and impossible to give away 3. if you quit hours (which they also make exceptionally and unnecessarily difficult b/c it must be done in person) then the accrued time is waisted. I feel bad for anyone who works here because the manager, Jossalyn, ruins their reputation for everyone. They charged me twice in less than a month's time, and so I called to cancel, and she could NOT admit she was wrong. Even when she called back to tell me she was wrong, she somehow did it without saying the words or apologizing. She interrupts you in the middle of your sentence too. So rude! Although my massage therapist was great I couldn't relax . The employees in the back were extremely loud almost my entire time. She apologized on their behalf but it still continued to the point she had to knock on the wall . But it still continues. Apparently she told the manager upon me exiting . I first came with a Groupon to check it out and I loved it so much that I got a membership (great deals). Veronica did my massage and she was AMAZING. My knots had knots and she knew exactly what to do and worked on everything I told her that I was having issues with. You can tell she has lots of years worth of experience, I really liked that she explained how the knots I have formed and how her massages are correcting the problem areas. She will definitely be quiet if that's what you like too. I have had back pain for so long that I couldn't even sit up straight and after her massage I felt so much tension in my neck/back just melt away. Basically you pay $150.00 + with them before you can cancel your two hours that you already paid for in advance, and lose the money!!! I love this place. For some reason it's got some bad reviews. I've never had a negative experience with staff, scheduling, or with the therapists themselves. The prices at MassageLuxe are very competitive and fair. I've seen several other reviewers complaining about Patrick. I'm not even sure if he's still at MassageLuxe, but Patrick is the one that got me signed up for the monthly service. He's always been super friendly and courteous. Another name-drop: Alissa. She's hands down the best massage therapist at this location. I've tried other therapists here and I'm not gonna say they're bad, but Alissa is easily better. The business model of this place is based on memberships, just like Hand and Stone and Massage Envy. I think this is important to understand as many of the poor reviews are based on them trying to get you to sign up. Ive had a membership here for 2 years and have really enjoyed it. Its a monthly fee for a predetermined amount of services- but it rolls over if you don't use it. The facility is clean, quiet and modern and feels like a lot of the higher end spas i have been too (minus the robes), and minus the high cost. I used to only get these types of services on vacations, but ML has me spoiled --its hard to cough up $120-$200 for a massage or $200+ for a facial (yes this is what cruises and hotels like the Ritz charge for 60 min services), when i get a similar experience for $60-$80 at home. I find the rooms quiet and the staff professional. Most of the massage therapists i have had have been great. (Its important to tell them what you want including the pressure.) I prefer the standard Swedish or trigger point massage. I have also had facials there which were surprisingly fantastic. Better than the cruises where they try and get you to buy products at the end. Overall i am very happy with my membership and would highly recommend ML if you are looking for a membership spa. read more
