They've recently started charging a little less if you pay in cash. I feel like that is good in theory except that sometimes I'm not sure where I'll land depending on the services I'm getting done. I do enjoy getting pedicures there and they have great scrubs and scents. Most recently I did the citrus and it did feel like it woke my legs up. I love the part where they put the hot towels. This is a super nice nail place, conveniently located in a walking shopping area. Everyone here is incredibly polite and nice. I've been here now several times for pedicures and just had my first gel manicure. For Mother's Day the manager was so sweet, she took my photo with my mother, and then presented us with a magnet with a picture with the two of us. We were also offered water or soda or diet soda while we were getting our treatments. The massage chairs at the pedicure stations are top notch and give a really nice shiatsu style massage. Not only is the customer service great but the quality of my manicure and pedicure are top-notch. I'm very picky because the place that I go to regularly in Los Angeles is quite small and high-end. I'm used to someone who has trained for years and really takes their technique seriously. The staff at BN are super! This establishment is extremely meticulous about sanitation, including putting plastic liners in the foot spa. They have a lot of color choices. I've never asked about nail art so I can't speak to that. Plenty of parking in the area. We paid $38 each for our pedicure and $20 for the manicure. I had gel polish which was an extra $20. The manicure is uneven (corners of my nails completely exposed) with ridges in the final application for a chunky finish. Fine from far away, poorly done once you look closely. I've already been here several times before and I usually have a decent experience, that was before I met Linny. She had done a pedicure for my husband (and a great job of that too) and when I came back, she serviced me. It was a Monday evening, pretty slow but she took her time and was very meticulous. She helped me with a picture of how I wanted my nails and giving me the colors for me to find them. She was super friendly and super social, I'm very accommodating to my requests. When I showed her the picture and I told her I wanted something close to this, she knew exactly what to do. She built upon what I already had, fixed my nails, and drew the design. Guys, straight lines are not easy especially on nails. She's an amazing nailtechnician who is really good at nail designs. She did give me a warning about checking with her she could do the design first, so I do recommend if you have an idea to drop by and bring it up to her. Went here this past weekend with my best friend to get our nails done in anticipation for her wedding dress appointments this weekend. I have not gotten my nails done since high school, so we are talking about almost 6-8 years now. We did a walk in on a Sunday afternoon around 1 pm, they were a little busy, but were still able to take us right away. I would probably recommend to make an appointment just to be save, but my friend said that she never has had a problem with doing a walk in. We started with getting our pedicure where we were led to the back. The chairs are very comfy and have a massager on the back of them. Kathy, was the woman that helped me and she was amazing! I got the lowest level pedicure, which is the Baldwin at $37. I continued to get a gel manicure afterwards. The chairs for the manicure station are alright, not fit for bigger people, but it made due. Overall my experience was good I'd go back once and a while. Let me just say I have a new found respect for women who do this often. It does cost you a pretty penny, overall with a 20% tip I paid $84. So I'd definitely go back once and awhile. read more

ill never ever ever step foot into this establishment again. Inside my nails didn't look terrible. It wasn't until I paid and walked outside that I realized this is the worst absolute worst manicure I had ever received. I walked back in hopes of getting a refund for my manicure (pedicure is fine) the manager refused and offered me a gift card to come back another time and for them to fix it. Okay this is where I officially decided that this place was trash. The small man child who did my nails then began to treat me terribly and spoke to me in a manner that I have never been spoken to before. I always treat people kindly even when they are the least deserving. As we were both walking out I even held the door open for him behind me and he proceeded to pull the door shut as I was still holding it and he was being loud and disrespectful, throwing his hands up and started talking trash about me to his coworkers. He is very lucky that I wasn't holding the door with the arm that was recently dislocated because I would have called the police and pressed charges for assault. After that happened, I walked back into Baldwin nails, handed the gift certificate back to the manager and proceeded to tell him that I will never ever return. I wish I could've given a better review, but it's been too many strikes for me and I wanted to save others the headache. Here's my most recent mishap here. I visited on 12/28 (Saturday) for a dip manicure. The very next day, two of the nails had broken right in half. The day after, one more broke. I realized at that point that they were very thin, but couldn't get back until a few days later. I went back on NYE (Tuesday) and got those 3 broken nails fixed... two of the fixed nails were great but one was extremely thick and wasn't set right so it was bumpy. Fast forward two more days (Thursday), and two MORE nails broke. At this point, I was beyond upset that I was having to go back 3 times in ONE week in order to get a good set of nails. Might I add that each time I went, a different person fixed them. Meaning I got serviced by three separate people and it was still not good. I went back that third time and they replaced the whole set, which I was content about... except it took TWO full hours and they still look absolutely awful (picture attached). They have bumps all over, they are thick as heck (I asked the woman several times not to make them too chunky), and are not set correctly. Overall, I'm exhausted and left with a terrible set of nails. Please, just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else for dip. read more

I've been coming here for years and it's always been one of my favorite reliable nail salons. The salon itself is very clean and relaxing inside and they offer you something to drink too which is nice. They are very strict with their hygiene standards and all their techs are professional and skilled. My favorite tech is a guy whose name I don't remember but he is older, wears glasses, and his station is the first one on the left when you walk in. He usually remembers all his clients and genuinely shows interest in you, is extremely funny and talkative, but most importantly he's very experienced and knowledgeable and will give you an honest opinion on what's best for your nails or the service you want done. I'm new to Orlando and live in the Baldwin Park area. I saw this little nail place and thought I would give it a try! Big mistake!! (At least for a manicure). The pedicure was really good. My polish on my toes look great! The GIRL that did my pedi was so nice and did a great job!! They acted like they were in a hurry though! A MAN came over and did my nails while I was in the pedi chair! (I had gel on my toes and fingers). He was very rude and acted like I was a bother to be there. My nails look HORRIBLE!! The polish is too thick and they look like I've been wearing the polish for a week!! He did not trim my cuticles, but acted like he was!! When I went to pay they told me 90.00 dollars!!! 90 bucks for a mediocre pedi and a horrible mani, with gel polish!!! No. Thanks. When I asked them to repeat the price the MAN said "I not over charge you" I didn't say he did, I just asked to repeat the total! While the color selection is not bad, the ombre appears tacky and unnatural. I asked for the nails to be redone, and a second stylist only made them worse. From a distance they look okay, but they look best in total darkness. Recommend you come in with pictures of any creative styles you want done and ensure they will change it if you aren't happy. They also had a great color selection. I got the dip polish here for the first time and the final result was sloppy. The acrylic powder was applied before cleaning my cuticles, so the manicure wasn't really a full manicure and the polish was placed over the cuticle in areas.
